Official School Proposal

Program Title:
SciREACH: Science Resource Enrichment and Access for Curriculum
and Holistic Learning
I. Rationale:
Effective science instruction relies on the availability of relevant, engaging,
and curriculum-aligned learning resources. However, many schools face
limitations in updated print and digital materials, hands-on activity guides,
and localized content. The SciREACH Program is designed to support the
development, organization, and utilization of quality science learning
resources that are accessible to both teachers and students. It fosters
collaboration among educators and learners in creating innovative and
contextualized resources for deeper science learning.
II. Objectives: 1. To audit and improve the inventory of existing science
learning resources. 2. To develop and contextualize print and digital learning
resources aligned with the science curriculum. 3. To organize and maintain a
science learning resource hub within the school. 4. To train teachers and
students on the effective use and integration of science resources. 5. To
promote learner-generated content and science-based projects that support
curriculum outcomes.
III. Target Beneficiaries: - Science teachers - Junior and Senior High School
students - Learning resource coordinator - Curriculum development team
IV. Program Description: The SciREACH Program will facilitate the
creation, acquisition, organization, and integration of instructional science
materials that enhance both teaching and independent learning. It
encourages the localization of content, development of student-centered
modules, and digitization of materials for wider accessibility. Activities
include resource drives, workshops, and the establishment of a dedicated
Science Learning Resource Center.
V. Key Activities and Timeline: | Activity | Description | Timeline |
Person/s Involved | |———|————-|———-|——————-| | Resource Audit |
Review existing printed, digital, and manipulable materials | Q1 | Teachers,
LRMDS Coordinator | | Resource Development Workshops | Train teachers on
developing localized and digital science materials | Q1–Q2 | Science
Coordinator, External Facilitators | | Science Content Creation | Encourage
students to produce infographics, videos, and activity sheets | Q2–Q3 |
Science Teachers, ICT Coordinator | | Organization of Science LRC | Setup
and maintain a physical and/or digital resource center | Q2 | Librarian,
Science Department | | Utilization Training | Conduct orientation on using
science resources effectively | Q2 | Teachers, Club Advisers | | Showcase and
Sharing | Exhibit teacher- and student-made resources | Q3–Q4 | Teachers,
Students, Stakeholders |
VI. Expected Outcomes: - Enriched and localized science learning
materials - Increased student access to and engagement with quality
resources - Strengthened teacher capacity in resource development -
Functional and organized Science Learning Resource Center - Improved
science performance through diversified learning tools
VII. Monitoring and Evaluation: - Learning Resource Inventory Forms -
Resource Usage Logs - Feedback Surveys (students and teachers) - Output-
based Evaluation of Developed Resources - Quarterly Reports on Resource
Center Status
VIII. Budget Requirements: | Item | Estimated Cost | |——|—————-| |
Printing and Reproduction of Materials | [Insert Amount] | | ICT Equipment
and Software | [Insert Amount] | | Workshop and Training Materials | [Insert
Amount] | | Display and Storage Equipment | [Insert Amount] |
IX. Sustainability Measures: - Institutionalize student and teacher content
creation per quarter - Partner with LGUs, NGOs, and DepEd LRMDS for
material development support - Encourage resource-sharing across subject
areas and year levels - Integrate SciREACH into the school’s Annual
Improvement Plan (AIP)
