Teacher.
Third grade students.
Materials:
Kitchen utensils.
Various ingredients for the different recipes that will be prepared.
Location
This project has been designed to be worked on in the kitchen facilities in your
practical part and in the classrooms in its theoretical part.
Methodology.
I will follow a completely participatory and active methodology with the obtaining of a
final product.
The recipes made will be suggested by the students based on their interests.
and others based on their nutritional value.
After analyzing the tasks required by each recipe, they will be distributed among the
students according to different roles, so that everyone can participate
actively (mixing ingredients, washing and peeling fruits and vegetables, adding
ingredients, cut and mash soft foods, fill and measure -with cups,
spoons, measuring tools, handling of devices, etc.). All these tasks will be
supervised by the teacher in charge of the project.
Regarding the theoretical part of the workshop, the preparation of the recipe book will be carried out.
starting from the interests of the students regarding what they want to do in
the following practical meeting; additionally, recipes will be worked on in the recipe book
different cultures, regions, seasons, tastes, etc.
Also, in the theoretical part of the project, we will work with related content.
on health care and nutrition.
Activities
Evaluation
It will be evaluated through:
Control tables with proposed objectives, prepared by the teacher.
The direct observation, during the development of the project, the level of
participation of each student.

The KITCHEN PROJECT promotes safety and hygiene by requiring students to engage in activities such as washing hands, removing jewelry, securing hair, and organizing the kitchen space after use. It includes teaching basic hygiene rules before cooking, such as handwashing and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen utensils . The project emphasizes knowing and applying safety regulations to prevent accidents and dangers in the kitchen .
The KITCHEN PROJECT workshop has a dual structure comprising theoretical and practical components. The theoretical part involves preparing a recipe book, focusing on nutrition and health concepts, while the practical part engages students in cooking processes. This structure benefits student learning by combining knowledge acquisition with hands-on experiences, allowing students to apply theoretical concepts in real-world situations, thereby enhancing understanding and retention .
The KITCHEN PROJECT addresses cultural diversity by including recipes from different cultures, regions, and seasons in its recipe book. This approach enhances cultural awareness, broadens students' understanding and appreciation of diverse culinary traditions, and fosters inclusivity and respect for multicultural perspectives. The outcomes include enriched cultural experiences and a greater sense of global culinary knowledge among students .
The KITCHEN PROJECT incorporates student interests by allowing students to suggest recipes based on personal preferences and nutritional value. This strategy is significant as it increases engagement, makes learning meaningful, and respects students' voices in the educational process. It encourages active participation where students can contribute to the preparation of a recipe book aligned with their interests, facilitating a sense of ownership over their learning .
The KITCHEN PROJECT applies mathematical concepts practically through activities such as solving problems involving fractions, managing equivalence tables for measurement, and calculating approximate ingredient amounts by comparing weight and volume. These activities require students to utilize, communicate, and compare strategies, thereby embedding mathematical reasoning in culinary contexts .
The KITCHEN PROJECT integrates interdisciplinarity by using cooking as a medium to apply and transfer curricular contents from various subjects, including language, mathematics, and health education. The intended educational outcomes are to enhance practical skills in daily living, promote nutritional knowledge, understand food hygiene standards, and ensure safety in a kitchen setting. The project also aims to foster participation, dialogue, and mutual aid, valuing the contributions of those who prepare food .
Social interactions play a critical role in the KITCHEN PROJECT by building social ties through group dynamics in cooking workshops. Participation in teaching and learning favorite recipes fosters communication and collaboration among students. The project creates meeting spaces and encourages participation in roles and tasks, promoting a sense of inclusion and community involvement .
In the KITCHEN PROJECT, students are assigned roles and tasks such as mixing ingredients, washing and peeling vegetables, measuring with tools, and handling cooking devices. This division of labor supports skill development by allowing students to focus on specific tasks, fostering competence in various culinary techniques, promoting teamwork, and enhancing individual contribution to collective goals .
The KITCHEN PROJECT ensures active participation by distributing kitchen tasks among students according to different roles, ensuring everyone is involved in activities like ingredient preparation, measuring, and device handling. Participation is evaluated through control tables and direct observation by the teacher, focusing on each student's contribution and engagement throughout the project's activities .
The KITCHEN PROJECT enhances literacy and language skills through activities that include gathering material related to cooking, consulting specialized resources, developing written texts like recipes, and identifying the sequence of recipes. These activities encourage students to articulate culinary processes, engage in research, and apply their language skills in practical scenarios .
