Summer Task Homework Junior II
Dear Parents,
It’s time for summer holidays and fun filled activities. Childhood is an
extremely important stage and we need to use this time to create a strong
bonding with our children. We believe that it is important to motivate and
encourage children to develop intellectually and physically.
We at TCS ensure to provide a well resourced and well organized ,
integrated indoor and outdoor environment that functions as the third
teacher, encouraging young children to act independently as well as
collaboratively to explore and learn from first hand experience. Spend the
holidays by creating a nurturing and stimulating environment filled with
interesting art and craft activities, projects, outdoor games, puzzles and
books.
Spend quality time with your children.
Give lots of hugs and express your care for to your children.
Make him/her your little helper.
Read stories to them especially before they go to sleep.
Monitor the T.V programs your children watch. Try to develop interest in T.V
channels like Animal planet, Pogo, Discovery etc.
HAVE A FUN FILLED VACATION !
Note
The work can be done in separate notebooks or loose sheets finally
compiled in a ring folder. You can make a collection inside the school
portfolio folder placing separators (avoid doing it on a single
separator register for the teachers convenience) and each should
have the child’s name and class on it. These tasks must be handed
over to the class teacher in the third week of August 2025.

Math:
Week 1: Money Smart (Currency Fun) 💰
1. Grocery Game
🛒 Help your parents make a shopping list.
👉 Task: Look at grocery receipts, write down 5 items and their prices.
✅ Add the prices and find the total.
2. Coin Sorter

👉 Task: Sort them, count them, and write how many of each you have.
Week 2: Magic Math (Add/Subtract) ➕➖

Roll 2 dice, add or subtract the numbers.
First to reach 50 wins!
2. Story Sums
Make up simple math stories like:
"I had 8 chocolates, I ate 3. How many are left?"

🏠 Adverb Adventure Hunt (Adverbs of Place)
Q Go on a scavenger hunt around the house or garden with your parent. For each clue, use an
adverb to describe where the object is.
Example Clue:
The toy is hiding under the table → It is hiding there.
✅ Write down 5 sentences using adverbs of place.
2. 📕 Create a Family Story (Story Writing)
📝 Choose a topic together, like “The Magical Picnic” or “The Talking Cat”.
Let the child write the story with help from a parent.
• Fun Twist: Each family member writes one part of the story!

🎲 Homophone Match-Up
Game Instructions:

Instructions:

Instructions:
👪 Play a family quiz game with 10 fun questions. Parents can read questions; child writes or
answers aloud.
