AUTHORIZING THE CONTRUCTION OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER (CDC)


FINANCED THRU THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS
(FALGU) ON THE BARANGAY OWNED LOT WITH AN AREA OF 650 SQUARE
METERS LOCATED AT BARANGAY 01 POBLACION, SAN JULIAN, EASTERN SAMAR.

WHEREAS, it is a declared policy of the State to protect the rights of children,


including proper care and nutrition, and to provide them with special protection
against all forms of neglect, abuse, cruelty and exploitation, as stipulated in
Republic Act 6972, also known as the “Barangay-Level Total Development and
Protection of Children Act”;

WHEREAS, the provision of adequate day care services is essential for the holistic
development of young children in our community fostering their physical, social,
emotional, and cognitive growth and development;

WHEREAS, there is a recognized need in Barangay 01 Poblacion for a dedicated


and appropriate facility to house the child development center for our young
residents, thereby ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment;

WHEREAS, the barangay has identified a portion of its own land located at
Barangay 01 Poblacion beside the Barangay Multi-Purpose Hall construction site
as a suitable site for the construction of the day care center;

WHEREAS, the construction of a child development center on this barangay-


owned lot will maximize the utilization of local resources and ensure long term
accessibility and sustainability
of the program.

NOW, THEREFORE, on mass motion of all the members of the Barangay Council,
be it:

RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay


01 Poblacion, San Julian, Eastern Samar in a special session assembled TO
APPROVE THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER ON THE
IDENTIFIED BARANGAY-OWNED LOT situated Barangay 01 Poblacion under the
Tax Declaration with PIN No. 037-20-0001-001-30 and ARP No. 11-200001-00033.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the copies of this resolution be furnished to the
Municipal Mayor, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development office, and
other concerned agencies for their information and appropriate action.

Done this 23rd day of July, 2025 at Barangay Multi-Purpose Hall, Barangay 01
Poblacion, San Julian, Eastern Samar.
