Let’s understand through a sample thesis statement
Essay Topic: Impact of Smoking on Public Health and its Consequences on

How to write an introductory paragraph?
An introductory paragraph has a topic sentence which defines the topic of
discussion. Always add a thesis statement identifying the paper to be
argued if it is an essay, report, or research paper. It helps readers to gather
what will be discussed.
Here an example with a thesis statement and an introductory paragraph
example is shown.
Strategic Role of Leadership in achieving Project Team Success
Leadership is one of the important aspects for project teams to function effectively.
The purpose of an effective leader is to develop a style which could guide project
team members. According to (Grynchenko, Ponomaryov & Lobach, 2018, p 13),
leadership plays a very important role to create a project team and maintain team
spirit by encouraging members to accomplish project tasks effectively. The purpose
of this paper is to discuss how project team success is very largely influenced by the
leadership which strategically guides, supports and adopts team dynamics, effective
collaboration, team cohesion, goal clarity, and motivation.

How to make a perfect paragraph?
A perfect paragraph is a paragraph which expresses a topic sentence. This
topic sentence identifies what the paragraph tells to the reader. Also, in a
perfect paragraph there should be around 150 words and two-three in-text
citations to depict well developed research on the topic area and published
from the past 5 years only. In the ending a closing sentence should wind
up a paragraph. Paragraphs should always be meaningful and convey
information in a clear and concise manner.
Consider the example paragraph below.
The Agile and waterfall model is implemented in software development projects;
however they differ in several ways. In agile software development methodology a
small team works in a closed setting with customers to create a higher quality
software through multiple iterations and feedback (Rasheed et al., 2021, p 2). Agile is
an effective approach where the team creates a smaller sprint in which software
development takes place followed by quick feedback. Contrary to this, the waterfall
model follows the strategy to divide a project into fixed phases which should be
completed one after the another to complete the development process (Andrei et al.,
2019, p 126). Here in the waterfall model, the project phases get completed first and
then feedback is gained. The major difference between agile and waterfall is that in
agile initial requirements do get changed after every sprint by the customers making
it more open; however, in the waterfall model once the initial requirements are set
the project moves forward to complete every step continuously. Henceforth, agile
and the waterfall model both differentiates on how they operates.
