Mensuration Formulas (2D and 3D)

2D Shapes:
1. Square: Area = a^2, Perimeter = 4a
2. Rectangle: Area = l × b, Perimeter = 2(l + b)
3. Triangle: Area = 1/2 × base × height
4. Equilateral Triangle: Area = (√3 / 4) × a^2, Perimeter = 3a
5. Parallelogram: Area = base × height, Perimeter = 2(a + b)
6. Rhombus: Area = 1/2 × d1 × d2, Perimeter = 4a
7. Trapezium: Area = 1/2 × (a + b) × h, Perimeter = sum of all sides
8. Circle: Area = πr^2, Circumference = 2πr
9. Semi-circle: Area = 1/2 × πr^2, Perimeter = πr + 2r
10. Sector: Area = (θ/360) × πr^2, Arc Length = (θ/360) × 2πr

3D Shapes:
1. Cube: Surface Area = 6a^2, Volume = a^3
2. Cuboid: Surface Area = 2(lb + bh + hl), Volume = l × b × h
3. Sphere: Surface Area = 4πr^2, Volume = (4/3)πr^3
4. Hemisphere: CSA = 2πr^2, TSA = 3πr^2, Volume = (2/3)πr^3
5. Cylinder: CSA = 2πrh, TSA = 2πr(h + r), Volume = πr^2h
6. Cone: Slant height = √(r^2 + h^2), CSA = πrl, TSA = πr(l + r), Volume = (1/3)πr^2h
7. Frustum of Cone: Volume = (1/3)πh(r1^2 + r2^2 + r1r2), CSA = π(r1 + r2)l

Quick Tips:
- Triangle = 1/2 × base × height
- Circle: π = 3.14 or 22/7
- Cone volume = one-third of cylinder
- Curved Surface Area (CSA) = side area only
- Total Surface Area (TSA) = CSA + base area(s)
