COMMITMENT STATEMENTS

As a student enrolled in this course, I commit to the following:

1. SCHEDULED FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES

a. Attendance will be rigorously monitored, and activities and exercises will be assigned during every class
session. According to Section 78, No. 2 of the student handbook, 20% of the total class session absences for
the semester, which is equivalent to 6 days, will be automatically dropped. Tardiness will not be tolerated;
three occurrences of fifteen minutes of tardiness will be equivalent to 1 absence. Excuse letters will only be
accepted if they have valid/legal bases.
b. Gadgets/devices must be put on silent mode or turned off without exception to avoid class disturbance. The
use of mobile phones or tablets inside the classroom is strictly prohibited, except for academic referencing.
If needed, students may inform the teacher and briefly step out to answer a phone call.
c. Before and after class, students are mandated to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom.
It is imperative that the electric fan/air-conditioner and lights are turned off after class, and any writings on
the board must be promptly erased. Students will be assigned to groups to diligently clean and monitor the
designated classroom for the subject.

2. SCHEDULED OFFSITE MEETING

a. Attendance to scheduled online meetings is optional but highly encouraged. The class officers will conduct
a survey beforehand to determine attendance. The meeting will last for a minimum of 40 minutes and a
maximum of one hour. Students unable to attend must submit an excuse letter in advance through text,
video, or audio.
b. The teacher will allow a 15-minute grace period before the scheduled online meetup. After 15 minutes,
students will not be admitted to the virtual platform to ensure punctuality and avoid disruptions.
c. During the meeting, students must follow the guidelines: keep the video on or off as desired, mute audio if
the video is off, ask for permission to speak in advance, and turn on the video for online simulation
meetings for recording purposes.
d. For reporting purposes, students must ensure connectivity for their output presentation. All groups must be
present on the virtual platform.
e. Students must join the online meet-up 15 minutes before the scheduled time for attendance checking and
other pre-lecture activities.
f. After the class meet-up, participating students are mandated to fill in and submit evaluation feedback as
evidence of attendance.

3. SUBMISSION OF OUTPUT

a. Without exception, all students must strictly adhere to the policy of “Deadline is a deadline” to ensure
continuity and efficient class performance monitoring. Students with valid excuses must contact the
instructor at least three days before the deadline to request an extension, and this will be formally noted and
recorded.
b. Each school semester consists of 18 weeks, and the activities in the module are automatically scheduled
according to the deadline. It is imperative for students to submit activities on the scheduled day without fail.
The instructor's messenger will be available 24 hours a day to promptly address students' messages and
queries.

4. GROUP CHAT

a. To ensure effective communication, all students must register as members of the Group Chat created for the
subject using their active email address and Facebook account. Your registered email during enrollment
must be used for immediate notifications.
b. The Official Group Chat of the class must not be an avenue for non-sensible information, aside from
classroom discussions and announcements. It must also not be an avenue for gaming, e-commerce, and
“chismis or Chika” to avoid longer back reads and buffering. Nobody is allowed to post information unless
it has been acknowledged and approved by the classroom officers and instructor.

channels such as Facebook Messenger and email will be open 24 hours a day. Please note that while the
