Summer Holiday Homework

Complete all 3 activities neatly.

1. Activity Title: “A Day in Mesopotamia”


Instructions

● Pretend you are living in ancient Mesopotamia. You could be a scribe, trader, temple
worker, or farmer.
● Write a 1–2 page diary about your life. Include:
● - The name of your city (like Ur or Uruk)
● - What kind of house you live in
● - Your job and daily activities
● - How writing is used (for trade, temples, or laws)
● Draw 2–3 small pictures (ziggurat, cuneiform symbols, city street).

=} Make a replica of a cuneiform tablet using clay or thick cardboard. Use a pen/stick to
press symbols.

2. Activity Title: “Travel with Me to the Roman Empire”


Instructions

● Pretend you're a traveller in the Roman Empire.


● Create a small travel diary, brochure, or booklet about 3–4 Roman cities (like Rome,
Alexandria, Antioch).
● For each city, write 5–6 lines about:
● - Buildings, streets, clothes, food
● - The Emperor and army
● - Trade and transport
● Decorate with maps, drawings, or Roman-style designs.

=} Design Roman coins or a Roman citizen’s ID card with name, profession, and rights.

3. Activity Title: “The Mongol Newspaper”


Instructions

● Make a newspaper front page (on A4 or chart paper) from the time of Genghis Khan.
● Include:

● - A short news story (8–10 lines)
● - A “Did You Know?” box with 2–3 facts about nomads
