B. Performance Standard: The learner shall be able to illustrate the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours
in a person’s holistic development.

DAY 1 TOPIC: DECELOPING THE WHOLE PERSON – INTRODUCTION AND PHYSIOLOGICAL
DEVELOPMENT.
OBJECTIVES: 1. discuss the relationship between physiological, cognitive, spiritual, and social development
to understand thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
2. evaluate your own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
3. show the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in actual life situations.
SET
Check all attendees.
Ask a volunteer to lead a prayer.
Ask the students to submit their portfolio.
Icebreaker “Mind, Body Heart” students will touch their head, chest, or stomach to describe where they
feel their emotions come from.
Ask the students “What part of yourself changes the most as you grow older?”.
REVIEW:
Revisit the week 1 reflections on “Knowing the self.”

Ask the students “What is one strength or limitation you discovered last week? How could that affect your
physical and behavior or well-being?”.
MOTIVATE
Ask the students “Do you think your body affects how you think or feel? How?”.
EXPLAIN
Present the learning objectives.
Ask the students to open their textbook on section developing the whole person pages 13-17.
Read silently. Let each student highlight one physical change they relate to.
Ask each student to choose one physical change they’ve experienced and share how it affected their
thoughts or feelings.
Ask the students to create a group based on their gender and create a poster about the physical changes
they have experienced and how it affects their behavior.
APPLY
Students will complete a reflection chart Activity 2.1awareness of one’s physiology page 15 in their
textbook.
GENERALIZE
Ask the students “What does this tell you about the connection between body and behavior?”.
Assignment:
Reflection writing for portfolio: “How does my physical development affect my thoughts and actions?”.
DAY 2 TOPIC: COGNITIVE, SOCIAL, AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
OBJECTIVES: 1. discuss the relationship between physiological, cognitive, spiritual, and social development
to understand thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
2. evaluate your own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
3. show the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in actual life situations.

Ask the students “Which has more impact on your decisions, it is your friends or your own thinking?”.
EXPLAIN
Present the learning objectives.
Ask the students to read the part in the textbook about cognitive, social, and emotional development pages
17 and 19.
Give the students a chart where they fill based on their thought, feeling, and behavior.
One by one, students will share their examples.
Facilities a short discussion about how thinking and emotions affect actions.
APPLY
Presents a common teenage situation.
Each student explains how they might respond, considering their thoughts and feelings.
GENERALIZE
Ask the students “How does being aware of your mind and emotions help improve your choices?”.
Assignment:
Reflection writing for portfolio: “A situation where my thoughts and feelings led to an action I regret or am
proud of”.
DAY 3 TOPIC: SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT
OBJECTIVES: 1. discuss the relationship between physiological, cognitive, spiritual, and social development
to understand thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
2. evaluate your own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
3. show the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in actual life situations.

Let students share one situation from their reflection where their thoughts and emotions influenced their
behavior.
Ask the students “Did your values or beliefs influence your decision?”.
MOTIVATE
Ask the students “Do your values guide your actions? How?”.
EXPLAIN
Present the learning objectives.
Ask the students to read about spiritual development in their textbook page 21.
Each student chooses one value such as honesty, respect, faith, and so on.
Ask each student to write about a time they followed that value.
Students take turns sharing their story and explain what they were thinking, feeling, and doing.
APPLY
Ask the students to draw a triangle labeled (1) Thought (2) feeling (3) behavior.
In the center, students will write their chosen value and illustrate a real-life situation.
GENERALIZE
Ask the students “How do your beliefs help you become a better person”.
Assignment:
Write a letter to your “Future Self” about how your beliefs shape your actions today.
DAY 5 TOPIC: PETA 2 “MY CIRCLE OF SELF”
OBJECTIVES: 4. illustrate connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in one’s holistic
development.

Ask the students “If your whole self was a circle, what would each part say—your body, your mind, your
heart, your spirit?”.
EXPLAIN
Present the learning objectives.
Show a sample circle divided into 5 parts (1) physical (2) mental (3) emotional (4) social and (5) spiritual.
Ask each student (1) What did you experience this week in each part? (2) Can you see how your thoughts,
feelings, and actions are connected?.
Give the instruction to the students.
Guide the students as they recall real-life examples from previous meetings.
APPLY
Students will do the PETA.
Checks progress and gives feedback.
GENERALIZE
Students present their finished circles to the class.
Ask the students “What did you discover about how your body, mind, emotions, relationships, and beliefs
are connected?”.
Assignment:
Finalize and polish the project for their portfolio for final submission.
