“I wonder why I don't go to bed and go to sleep. But then it would be tomorrow, so I

Sleep
Give a speech with
the following words:
Possible answer:
enemy We use Thomas Edison's light bulb to invade the night, and we occupied the dark,
ignorance and in the process of this occupation, we've treated sleep as an illness, almost.
eat We've treated it as an enemy. At most now, I suppose, we tolerate the need for
drink sleep, and at worst perhaps many of us think of sleep as an illness that needs some
attitude sort of a cure. And our ignorance about sleep is really quite profound. It's because
you don't do anything much while you're asleep, it seems. You don't eat. You
1 don't drink. Our attitudes toward sleep are so very different from a pre-industrial
age, when we were almost wrapped in a duvet.

Sleep
Give a speech with
the following words:
Possible answer:
skill If you have good sleep, it increases your concentration, attention, decision-
health making, creativity, social skills, health. If you get sleep, it reduces your mood
mood changes, your stress, your levels of anger, your impulsivity, and your tendency to
idea drink and take drugs. So as we are facing all the multiple crises in our world at the
joy moment, what is good for us on a personal level, what's going to bring more joy,
gratitude, effectiveness in our lives and be the best for our own careers is also
what is best for the world. So I urge you to shut your eyes and discover the great
2 ideas that lie inside us, to shut your engines and discover the power of sleep.

Sleep
Give a speech with
the following words:
Possible answer:
brain We go to sleep every single night, but our brains, they never rest. While our body
clean is still and our mind is off walking in dreams somewhere, the elegant machinery
machine of the brain is quietly hard at work cleaning and maintaining this unimaginably
function complex machine. Like our housework, it's a dirty and a thankless job, but it's
body also important. If you stop cleaning your house for a month, your home will
become completely unlivable very quickly. But in the brain, the consequences of
3 falling behind may be much greater, because when it comes to cleaning the brain,
it is the very health and function of the mind and the body that's at stake.
