Admission into Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and PG
programmes will be based on AWUET-2025 examination. Details of the
examination will be notified on the university website, and candidates are

following the reservation system of the Government of Assam.

2. THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS


The campus of the University is located at Rowriah,
Jorhat, Assam which is seven (7) km away from ISBT,
Jorhat, one (1) km from the Rowriah airport, Jorhat and
seven (7) km from Jorhat railway station. Jorhat can be
reached easily from Guwahati, the gateway to North-East
India by bus / train / air.

9. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
During the session 2025-26, Assam Women’s University offers one (1) diploma, one (1) under graduate, fourteen (14)
Integrated PG programmes and fifteen (15) post-graduate programmes. Intake capacity for each programme will be of forty-
two (42) Regular Seats (except Integrated PG programmes which have 25 Regular Seats) and six (6) Endowment (High-Fee)
Category Seats followed by two (2) Supernumerary Seats (One for Employees of Assam Women’s University and the other
seat for students of periphery villages).

Admission into Integrated PG programmes will be 100% seats shall be filled up on merit basis, based on best of five
subject marks secured by the candidate in the (10+2) examination following the reservation system of the Government of
Assam. Candidates seeking admission into Integrated PG and Bachelor programmes shall have to apply through
Assam Higher Education Admission web portal at [Link]
a) Only female candidates are eligible for admission.
b) A candidate applying for undergraduate or Integrated PG programme shall have to be at least 17 years of age as on
August 1, 2025 (i.e., must have been born before 01-08-2008).

Admission into Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and PG programmes will be based on AWUET-2025 examination.
Details of the examination will be notified in the website at least a week before commencement of AWUET-2025. Candidates
are advised to visit the university website [Link] frequently.

Admission into Diploma programme will be purely on merit basis following the reservation system of the Government
of Assam. Online applications for BPT, PG and Diploma programmes are available at [Link] by paying
a nominal application / entrance fee of ₹ 500.00 (Five Hundred only) + Service Charge.

13. LIBRARY
The Central Library of Assam Women’s University was
established since the inception of Assam Women’s
University in 2014 but it started functioning in 2015. The
Assam-typed built library is housed within the present lush
green premises of the University. The library started in a
humble way when it began its journey in 2015, but has now
grown to be a rich source of information and learning. Over
the years, the library can take pride in fulfilling and
continuing with its inherent mission of women’s education
