C. I will review again my report as I might find some other mistakes and typos before sending
out.
12. There has been a tropical downpour and I see there is a very small leak in the ceiling:
A. I will report this information to the Office Manager immediately; maybe he/she did not realize

B. Not my problem, this is not at all my responsibility. And the my Job Description confirms that.
C. Hope we will move soon; this office is not brand new and we deserve better conditions.

stopped working:
Page 2

B. I did not see that passenger; my colleague told me about her.
C. Well, too bad, she should have paid more and taken a seat in Business class.
14. I am a hotel owner in Cirebon and I have opened a new hotel. We have a lot of debts to reimburse
and we need to be profitable:
A. We will put some bottles of water in the room with a clear mention of the additional price in
case the customer decides to drink it.
B. No need to put bottles of water in the room; if the customer is thirsty, they can phone room
service.
C. We will put free bottles of water in the room as we know the client will be happy to have a
few bottles of free water.
Section IV – RELIABILITY
15. My team members have not finished their work but I need to go home as I have completed my work
for the week and I am looking forward to enjoying my week-end. My assistance is required to send a
report to a client because the deadline is today:
A. The team should have been better organised and completed their work on time; work-life
balance is more important; anyway, all this can wait till Monday when I am back in the office.
B. I have other things to do but I let the team know that I will review it first thing the next
morning.
C. I will find 10 minutes this evening to send the report to client, out of respect for the hard work
put in by my colleagues.

A. My work day is over so I will leave and continue tomorrow. I could not finish on time; that’s

company:
A. Not sure I can go; I will answer my supervisor next week, when I have a better idea of my
planning.
B. Sure, I will say to my supervisor that I can go. He will remind me next week anyway in case I
forget; it should be possible; I’m pretty sure I have nothing planned.
C. Sure, I will go and I will put a reminder in my Google calendar.
18. My work-buddy is sick this week but he did not leave any instructions:
A. Not sure what my duty is, I think someone explained to me what a buddy was during my
orientation but I cannot really remember.

C. He did not leave any instructions, so that means I do not have to do anything.
19. A client phoned and asked to speak with Budi because there was an urgent matter to discuss. I ask to
call later as Budi is in the restroom:
A. If it is so urgent, the client will surely call Budi later.
Page 3
B. I forgot to ask the client’s name so no need to let Budi know that someone phoned.
C. I will let Budi know that the client phoned and needs to speak with him urgently.
20. There is a meeting Tuesday next week at 8.00 AM at the office. However, my work day starts at 8.30
AM and there is no way I can come because I have to bring my kids to school first:
A. My work contract says 8.30 AM, I will arrive at 8.30 AM.
B. I will arrive late for the meeting. Easy, I will say there is heavy traffic. No need to let anybody
know about this.
C. I will show respect to others by letting my supervisor know that I really cannot make it at 8.30
AM because I have to bring my kids to school, and I will ask if there is any way the meeting can
be postponed to 8.30 AM.
21. I have a deadline for next month:
A. Better get started now, I will plan the work up until next month.
B. This is for next month; I have more urgent things to do than to think about next month.
C. This is for next month; I will wait for a reminder from my supervisor as it’s her job to do the
team planning.
Section V – INNOVATION
22. Your group has been assigned work with a very tight deadline, and every member of the group is
given separate tasks to achieve a certain target. In my opinion, the task is inefficiently distributed. I
am skilled for a particular task, but the task has been assigned to another group member who does
not have the necessary competence to finish it:
A. Do the given task with maximum effort because there will not be a chance to fix it.
B. Ask to switch task in order to meet the expected quality of the task’s final outcome.
C. Push myself and other team members to complete their tasks as quickly as possible in order to
meet the deadline, and rectify issues related to the task later on.
23. I think the advantage or purpose of training and development given to me is:
A. Show that the Management cares about employee quality.
B. Improve work flexibility and retention of employees.
C. Enhance employee competency in order to improve the quality work results.
24. When an issue arises and leads to a complaint, I will:
A. Identify the root cause to find out the best approach to solve the issue.
B. Discuss it to find out the responsible parties.
C. Find out about when and where the issue occurred before reporting it to my supervisor.

revise my work. I will:
A. Try to explain the detail how the mistake happened and hope the other party could
understand my situation.
B. Review and revise my work, take notes, and be thankful for the feedback.
C. Ask the other party about his or her role in my work.

Section VI – ANTI-BRIBERY / CONFLICT OF INTEREST
26. I am in charge of selecting training providers and we have several vendors for the service. One of the
suppliers called and said he would like to offer me two cinema gift vouchers worth a total of IDR
160,000 as a sign of friendship and respect.
A. Gift giving is a cultural norm in this region and it would be a sign of disrespect to refuse his gift.
I take the gift as it is worth only a minor amount.
B. It is a minor amount below the company threshold so I accept it and I inform my superior and
Human Resources in writing giving all details.
C. Under no circumstances should I accept any gift whatsoever, regardless of the value.
27. Another vendor in the same situation proposed to me personally a 50% discount on any private
training sessions if I agree to appoint him for the company training assignment
A. Definitely not a problem because even though I get private discounts, my company won’t be
any worse off, and it means we will have a great relationship with a vendor. Win-win situation.
B. It makes no difference because I have no need for any personal training services. No need to
mention this to anyone.
C. I will inform HR and our Procurement function that I was offered a private discount.
28. My boss has been pressuring me to get new clients for this quarter so that the whole team can meet
its budget. I have a potential client – a very big, well known, highly reputable company – with a
massive contract they want to sign with us. My contact at the client said that if I take him to this
expensive new restaurant and pay for him, that should seal the deal.
A. Under no circumstances can I take the client contact to such an expensive restaurant and
charge it to the company. It’s clear that getting the deal depends on giving him this dinner.
B. I will tell my boss about it and no need to tell HR.
C. I am not going to tell my boss because the client and he don’t get along, and he will mess up
the whole deal anyway. This is a cost of doing business and I will get a proper tax invoice to be
able to claim the amount.
29. Government administration is a real mess at the moment, and we have a critically important permit
that needs government approval by tomorrow 5 pm. The woman at the government office counter
made it clear to me that a small service fee to her will get the permit approved no problem by
tomorrow morning.
A. This is a critical permit and the cost of the service fee is miniscule. I will pay it now.
B. Everyone knows this is standard practice in dealing with government agencies in this part of
the world. That’s how business gets done. And I will be paying it out of my own pocket
anyway.
C. I will not pay the service fee and I will inform my boss. No need to bother HR with this.
30. Our company has apparently spent a lot of time and effort to choose the vendor for a big renovation
project at the office. I discovered today that they are considering as vendor the company where my
wife is Sales Manager.
A. It’s not even sure she had anything to do with negotiating the deal so no need to upset anyone
by telling them she works for the vendor.
B. I better tell my superior and HR about it, even though it might endanger the whole deal with
my wife’s company. She was counting on a big bonus for this.
C. All of our senior management team will be furious about any such last-minute problems
arising to hinder this big project; they have spent so much time on it. I’ll just keep this
information to myself. Don’t rock the boat.
