System Overview
Since the vehicle bus has several networks, which require
communication between each other, and the gateway serves
as the medium for communication among such networks.
Gateway controller mainly has the following three functions
1. Message routing:
(a) The gateway features message forwarding and
diagnosis of bus message status
2. Signal routing:
(a) Realize signal mapping between different messages;
3. Network management:
(a) Network status monitoring and statistics, error
handling, sleep, wake up, etc.

Terminal Diagnosis
1. Check gateway controller pins

(a) Disconnect gateway controller G19 connector

(b) Check the voltage and resistance of each terminal at
the wire harness end.

3 Check CAN communication wire

(a) Disconnect gateway controller G19 connector,

disconnect TCU A28 connector, and check the
resistance between terminals of the wire connector.

check the resistance between terminals of the wire
connector.

the resistance between terminals of the wire connector.

Disassembling
1. Remove the glove compartment.
2. Remove gateway controller
(a) Disconnect the insertion member
(b) Remove one bolt with a No.10 socket wrench
(c) Remove gateway controller

Assembling
1. Install gateway controller
(a) Align gateway controller to the mounting holes.
(b) Install one set bolt.
(c) Connect the connector.

2. Install the glove compartment.
