Reflective Writing

With the course coming to an end, I have completed the four assigned tasks of the academic
assistantship course. Three tasks were related to CBDC and digital currency in which I had to research
on various aspects of the digital currency that could help it be successful in the implementation or the
challenges that the Reserve Bank could face while implementing in the country. Also, we investigated
how it could interoperate with other digital currencies and what will be the advantages and
disadvantages of the same. The last task was a survey that I had to get it filled by as many students as
I could which would further be used for research purposes. I have tried to be as competent as possible
throughout the course in completing my tasks that were assigned to me.

There is always a room for improvement in whatever an individual does. However, when I introspect
about my performance in this course, I feel I did not give my 100% due to various reasons and the first
one being the task 1 which was a total mess due to my sheer negligence. However, that was a learning
lesson for me too and I take it as a positive for my career ahead. The final task which was given to me
looked easy initially but was a tough task when I got to the ground. It was very difficult to convince
students to find students who could genuinely fill the survey being the mid sem and end sem season.

This is my second semester of the academic assistantship, and it is fun doing the tasks and talking to
the faculty in the mentorship program as well. Also, this is a new experience as this is the first time, we
are working in a hybrid mode. I have been able to introspect and learn more about myself as to how I
would like myself to be in a workplace with things being organized and easily accessible. I have also
made it a point to complete the assignments well within time so that there is no panic at the last minute.
For the upcoming tasks, I plan to be more focused and efficient to be able to produce more relevant
tasks which will benefit the faculty in publishing them on Scopus.

Due to the academic assistantship, I have learned so many things that will be useful for me in higher
education as well as in my future endeavors. Firstly, I gained experiences on being in touch with my
faculty, whom I consider to be my boss. So basically, I take it as a job wherein I assist my boss in his
tasks to reduce his workload. I have learnt the official way of communication with the superiors. I have
also learned how the national banks are moving forward with the digital currency and that it could be
the next big thing just like metaverse. With the digital currency coming into existence, I feel metaverse
is likely to gain more importance and will be more practical with the digital currency.
