In this day and age, education plays an important role in the development of children.

People said that youngsters should be bilingual before middle school which has both
merits and demerits. I believe that despite having few drawbacks, it has been
beneficial in numerous ways for children.
On the one hand, there are so many downsides of learning English early. Firstly,
learning English at a too young age means they have to spend more time doing their
assignments which can put lots of pressure on kids. They do not have enough time
with their peers, so they will lack necessary entertainment, which can cause
depression for them. Secondly, it is more difficult for less wealthy families to pay
tuition fees for their children to learn English, which is the main factor that contributes
to financial burden.
On the other hand, it is believed that younger children have a better linguistic aptitude
which can boost their learning. Firstly, learning a new language while learning their
mother tongue will improve both their memory and their brains’ ability to multitask.
Second, they will be more confident in communication, and then expanding their
network. Moreover, there are opportunities to study abroad or work in the future as
well. They will get a well-paid job for their better life. In addition, children can enjoy
the benefits of being able to watch cartoons or other forms of children’s TV shows in
other languages as well.
Learning English earlier than at secondary school has its own pros and cons. It might
put pressure on kids, while it will help them develop their learning skills and
strengthen their ability. I believe that the advantages of learning English earlier
outweigh its disadvantages.
