debate on the topic, “Social Media and It’s Effects”, I am Sumit Kumar and I would like to speak in favor of the

1. Global Connectivity Social media eliminates geographical barriers, allowing people to connect across
cultures and me zones. It fosters relationships and keeps individuals informed about global events.

2. Instant Informa on & Awareness Platform’s like Twi er, Facebook, and Instagram provide real- me
news updates. Social media empowers people to stay informed, share opinions, and engage in
discussions on important issues.

brand promo on and customer engagement. Digital marketing has opened doors to cost-effect

Good Morning, ladies and gentleman! I am Sumit Kumar and my topic for the day is “Social Media and
It’s Effects”. I would like to speak Negative Effects the Social Media.

1. It has now become doubtful to trust the saying that goes like “Technology was developed to save time
and make our life easier”, because people have become addicted and unproductive.
2. Mental Health Challenges Excessive social media use has been linked to anxiety, depression, and self-
esteem issues. The pressure to present a "perfect" online personal leads to unrealism comparisons and
emotional distress.

3. No doubt it Provides access to useful information, but it is hard ignore the quantum of fake news that
spreads like wildfire and the extent of impact it has on the society.

4. It is one of the reasons behind insecurities and depression among teenagers. It is right that technology
was introduced to save time, but we forgot to mention, “In the right Amount”. So, remember, you leave
the present moment every time you check the phone.
Conclusion
Social media is undeniably a powerful tool with both advantages and drawbacks. While it fosters connectivity,
creativity, and advocacy, it also raises concerns about mental health, misinformation, and privacy risks. The
