As with the entire production tools, water treatment plants need to be maintained, in order to be

sure that they function well. But, these works lead to shut down costs, which are financial losses
for the company, and drinking water furniture is no longer continuous. This situation makes
people dissatisfied. To get rid of this problem, the company has to find a means to compensate
for the rehabilitated water treatment plant. Our goal in this project is to design a compact
containerized water treatment plant. It will be used as a mobile solution to help for drinking
water treatment. This project is a part of the improvement of water access in Cameroon. First,
we started understanding the requester's needs. From the project context, the constraint and
the technology of the compact water treatment plant, we proposed a model, as a response to
his needs. After that, we made the hydraulic and structural design of the plant offered. Then we
explained how its maintenance should be done, in order to make it function well during its life
cycle estimated to 20 years. We also made environmental and social impact studies of it, to
evaluate its impact on the environment. Finally, a financial analysis helps us to understand that
the project is profitable for the company. This is why we advise her to invest in this project,
which will help her to avoid non quality costs and lead a little bit to the 75% of drinking water
access rate by the year 2020.
