COMP3670 Assignment 1

1. Describe the home network structure, including:


• Device pictures with names and their connections.
• The device sequence on which a packet on your computer
traverses out of your home.
• The transmission rate from your computer to your home
access network
2. Find the IP address of your computer (ipconfig,
ifconfig) and your local router.
3. Find the IP address of [Link] (ping)
4. Measure delay from your computer to [Link]
(ping or tracert or traceroute)
5. Use Wireshark
• Install Wireshark (unnecessary if SEEDLAB
installed),
[Link]
• Start Wireshark and start capture
• Access [Link]
• Stop capture. Snap the current wireshark screen.
• Q1: List 3 protocols that you see in some packet.
• Q2: What is the internet address of
[Link]

For all cases, if applicable, include the screen
