INTRODUCTION
About the summer training organization and the industry
Lighting Industry in India- Vanishing darkness from every corner
The Indian LED lighting market reached a value of USD 2754 Million in 2021 and is expected to reach
USD 9658 Million by 2027.
The escalating demand for energy efficient lighting solutions, along with introduction of cost-effective
smart LED lighting solutions with improved controls, is primarily driving the Indian LED lighting market.
India is the second populated nation and fifth prime electric consumer that has been observing wide
electricity demand-supply gap. A significant portion of the world’s total electricity generation has been
spent on lighting by illumination sources and system alone.
The exhaustion continues to increase due to the development of new areas of applications such as
Biological Lighting, Entertainment Lighting, Aqua Tissue Culture, Advertisement Lighting, etc.
