Role

We are urgently looking for a Azure DevOps Consultant/Engineer to join the team,
ideally you will be from a development or Sys Admin background, you will aid project
teams in the adoption and extension of standard CI/CD pipelines, test automation
harnesses, automated deployments and assisting with project and production issue
triage and resolution.
This role joins an existing remote team across multiple projects and clients, supporting
both BAU and new build activities as required in an Azure environment.

Purpose
• Work on projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring commons standards
are implemented, enhanced and adhered to.
• Ensure Automated build, test and deployment tools and processes are in place
• Build and configure environments
• Deploy and configure solutions
• Define and implement reusable CI/CD components
• Perform script maintenance and update
• Create requirements and procedures for implementing routine maintenance
• Identify, agree and implement new ways of working to support changing project
needs and continuous improvement.

• Has solid experience developing with Microsoft technologies
• Ability to liaise effectively with other teams
• Ability to work towards challenging deadlines, delivering high quality
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently, but must enjoy collaborating as part of matrix
managed teams
• Ability to prioritise tasks from multiple sources whilst demonstrating a degree of
empathy

Essential skills & experience


• Knowledge of Microsoft web services
• Sound working knowledge of Git (or similar source control system)
• Sound working knowledge of SQL Server
• Sound scripting skills (Powershell, Bash or similar)
• Building, deploying, monitoring and troubleshooting applications in virtualised
environments

Desirable skills & experience


• Experience of building & deploying .NET services & applications
• Ability to understand & utilise new technology is desirable
• Behaviour Driven Development
• Azure DevOps
