the USA take to prevent regional instability?"
2. With the USA’s track record of selective intervention, is your interest in Myanmar truly
humanitarian or another strategic chess move?
3. After decades of failed nation-building in countries like Afghanistan, why should we trust
your approach in Myanmar will succeed?
4. Decades of sanctions in Iraq, Iran, and North Korea failed to bring real change. Isn’t repeating
the same strategy and expecting a new result just wishful thinking? Given that history, how
do you justify using the same failed tactic again, knowing innocent people will pay the price?
5. After decades of failed nation-building in countries like Afghanistan, why should we trust
your approach in Myanmar will succeed?.......... With all respect, words don’t rebuild nations.
Can you name one US-led intervention since 2000 that ended in lasting peace?
6. After decades of US interventions that have destabilized regions worldwide, do you honestly
believe the world trusts your promises to bring peace to Myanmar, or is it just another case
of 'do as I say, not as I do'?

UK

1. After centuries of exploiting Myanmar under British rule, how does the UK justify its
position as a peacekeeper when its legacy is filled with oppression and division?
2. Given the UK’s involvement in military interventions like Libya in 2011 and Syria, where
regime change led to long-term instability, how can you claim to have a genuine interest
in Myanmar’s peace when your past actions have created chaos and power vacuums in
other regions?

protect its own interests—how can you assure us that France won’t block
meaningful action on Myanmar if it contradicts your geopolitical goals?

Russian

1. Russia’s military interventions in Ukraine and Syria have resulted in widespread

destruction and loss of life—how can you claim to support peace in Myanmar when

documented, yet your government has failed to address the root causes. Does
Myanmar intend to continue to deny these issues and avoid responsibility, or is
there a plan to finally acknowledge and resolve them?
2. The military junta in Myanmar has only deepened divisions and unrest. If the
current government continues down this path, what kind of future do you
envision for the country when it’s built on a foundation of violence and
repression?
3. How can you claim to represent the will of the people when millions of your
citizens have been denied basic rights and forced to live under a brutal military
regime? Are the lives of your citizens expendable in your pursuit of power?
4. Is it not true that your military is more interested in maintain control through
fear and violence rather than fostering any real peace or democracy? How many
more lives must be sacrificed for your regime to hold onto power?
5. Given Myanmar’s refusal to engage in peace talks with opposition groups, how
can you expect any lasting stability when you’ve alienated the very people you
claim to represent?

shows a blatant disregard for international accountability—what does the
government have to hide, and how can it claim legitimacy when it shuts out
transparency?

well-established. How can your government expect any support from the
international community when it continually undermines global efforts for peace
and stability?

Myanmar proves ineffective leadership. How can Indonesia continue to boast
about its diplomatic strength when Myanmar’s crisis only deepens?
2. ASEAN’s 5-Point Consensus, heavily backed by Indonesia, has been completely
ignored by Myanmar’s junta. Does Indonesia admit that its approach has failed,
or will it keep defending a policy that’s clearly powerless?
3. Indonesia has prioritized ASEAN’s ‘non-interference’ over taking a firm stand on
Myanmar. How can Indonesia deny that this policy has allowed violence and
oppression to flourish unchecked?

hands too—does Indonesia seriously believe empty statements can wash away
its complicity?

you justify letting Myanmar’s junta mock international law while you stand by
and watch?

to act has empowered Myanmar’s military to kill without fear?

Myanmar crushes its people—how does Timor-Leste justify this betrayal of its
own history?

oppression best—so why does your government turn a blind eye to Myanmar’s
genocide?
3. You gained freedom through international solidarity, but where is that same
solidarity now for Myanmar? Isn’t Timor-Leste’s silence pure hypocrisy?
