Background and Rationale
Briefly describe why the WAP will be implemented. Identify the competency gaps that will be addressed and current performance
level based on PPST indicators
The Workplace Application Project (WAP) will be implemented to address competency gaps in Content Knowledge and its
Application within and across Curriculum Areas, as identified by the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST)
indicators. Teachers currently demonstrate adequate subject knowledge but often struggle to integrate and apply content across
different disciplines, which limits their ability to foster deeper student engagement and critical thinking. The WAP aims to enhance
teachers' ability to link content knowledge to real-world applications, improve interdisciplinary teaching, and design lessons that
promote higher-order thinking. By focusing on collaborative lesson planning, peer observations, and coaching, the WAP will help
teachers improve their content application, ensuring more effective and engaging teaching practices that will ultimately lead to
improved student outcomes.

Briefly describe the intervention (e.g., type of special project, nature of committee and role of learner, etc.), and specify duration and
offices where learner will be assigned, if appropriate. Use one to two paragraphs.
The intervention is a structured mentoring and coaching program designed to enhance teachers’ ability to apply content knowledge
effectively within and across curriculum teaching areas. It focuses on interdisciplinary lesson planning, collaborative teaching, and
real-world application of concepts through differentiated instruction, inquiry-based learning, and technology integration. Over the
course of one academic quarter, teachers will participate in hands-on training, peer observations, and reflective discussions to
develop strategies for seamless subject integration. They will be grouped into learning teams, working together to design and
implement lessons that connect multiple disciplines, ensuring a more cohesive and meaningful learning experience for students.
Master teacher will provide ongoing guidance through Learning Action Cell (LAC) sessions, where teachers will discuss challenges,
share best practices, and assess student progress. This approach fosters continuous professional growth, leading to improved

instructional strategies and enhanced student learning outcomes.
Terminal Objective
State what learner will be able to do by the end of the WAP, following ABCD (Audience-Behavior-Condition-Degree) guidelines.
By the end of the Work Application Project (WAP), teachers (Audience) will be able to design and implement interdisciplinary lesson
plans (Behavior) that effectively integrate content knowledge across different curriculum areas using differentiated instruction,
inquiry-based learning, and technology-enhanced strategies (Condition) with at least 80% effectiveness, as measured by lesson
evaluations, student engagement, and assessment results (Degree).
