PRELIMINARY Prayer:

Motivation: “ZUMBA EXERCISE”

Direction: The teacher will play a Zumba exercise on the TV and all of
the students should participate.

Activity: (By group) “ACT IT OUT”

Directions: Divide students into 2 groups, select an actor, draw an


action card, act out the phrase/word without speaking, and guess
within the time limit.

A3. ABSTRACTION Physical Fitness

It is the ability to carry out daily tasks without undue fatigue.

The Two categories of Fitness

Health-Related Fitness:

Cardiovascular endurance- is your body's capacity to supply oxygen


to working muscles during prolonged physical activity.

Muscular strength- is the muscle's ability to exert force at high


intensities over short periods of time.

Muscular endurance- is the ability of a muscle or muscle group to


sustain repeated contractions against a resistance for an extended
period of time.

Flexibility- is the ability to move a joint through its complete range of


motion.

Body composition- Is the percentage of fat, bone, and muscle in the


body, and it's a key factor in health and fitness.

Skill-Related Fitness:
Agility- This is the ability to change direction quickly and easily while
maintaining balance and control.

Balance- This is the ability to maintain equilibrium and control while


stationary or moving.

Coordination- This is the ability to use different body parts together


smoothly and efficiently.

Power- This is the ability to combine strength and speed to produce a


powerful movement.

Reaction Time- This is the time it takes to respond to a stimulus.

Speed- This is the ability to move your body quickly.


A4. APPLICATION
IT’S SHOWTIME!

The class will be divided into 2 groups. Each group demonstrate the
component of fitness at least 3 health-related fitness and 3 skill-
related. They are given 10 minutes to practice and 2-3 minutes to
perform.
