It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to one of the many exciting events

happening under the grand celebration Chunauti 2025— hosted by Apeejay School, Saket.

Chunauti is not just an event — it’s a tradition. For the past 28 glorious years, it has been a
platform for our students to express, explore, and excel. Year after year, it brings forth a
vibrant mix of talent, creativity, and spirit — all nurtured right here in the heart of our
school, Apeejay Saket.

Today, we are gathered to witness one such thrilling segment — the natyam. A warm
welcome to all our enthusiastic participants, and of course, a heartfelt thank you to our
honorable judges, who bring not only their expertise but also their encouragement and
support. We are truly honored by your presence and now we would like to present a token of
memento to Ms. Geeta Patra and Ms. Munmun Biswas.

Geeta Patra is a renowned Kathak dancer, choreographer, and educator with extensive
experience in performance, teaching, and judging. A winner of the All India Dance
Competition, she has showcased her art on national and international stages. Known for her
strong command of Kathak technique and theory, she excels in choreography, performance
direction, and dance education.

Munmun Biswas is a versatile dance expert with over 20 years of experience in Odissi, Uday
Shankar style, Kathak, and Western dance. She has mentored students across age groups
and performed on national and international stages. Recognized for her contributions to
dance, she received an award from the Youth Congress in 2005.

As we dive into this exciting competition, i would request Maanya to introduce the rules to
all the participants.

-Participants are required to dance on a classical, semi classical song or an Indian folk song.
-Selected songs should not have any objectionable lyrics.
-Participants to be dressed in costumes according to the dance form.
-Participants can use props while dancing.
The evaluation criteria for the competition is:
Choreography

Concept and Execution
10 marks
Expression and Overall Presentation
10 marks
Costume and selection of Music
10 marks

40 marks
