First Two Weeks of the School Year Reflection


1. What challenges impacted me the most during the month of June? (List at
least five challenges)
Ans. The following had the most impact on me during the first two weeks of the school year:
 Lack of lesson guide made it hard for me to plan and and deliver lessons confidently.
 Adjusting to lower grades and handling 7 subjects. It requires me to change my teaching
style/ approach.
 Classroom managing was also challenging as I was still building routines.
 Time management in every lesson.
 Unfamiliarity with some school forms.
2. How did I handle it?
 I handled it through observing my environment and what are other teachers doing. I also
asked guidance with other teachers and I took notes of the important things that I need to
know and learn about, and those things that I’m confused of so I can ask help from others.
I kept on reminding myself that everything is possible and I will take things one step at a
time and will always stay grounded and encouraged.
3. What will I do differently next time?
 I will need to plan my lessons ahead of time and will also use visual aids. I will ask help
right away if things confused me or if I’m not sure about something. I will also set clear
classroom rules and routines to improve management. And will be always mindful of the
class time frame.
4. What support do I need moving forward?
 Guidance with my experienced colleagues.
 Access to teaching materials and lesson guide
 And lastly, I appreciate constructive feedbacks.
