1. Basic Electrical Engineering

Ohm's Law: V = IR

KCL: Sum of incoming currents = Sum of outgoing currents

KVL: Sum of voltages in a closed loop = 0

Power and Energy:

- Power (P) = VI = I^2R = V^2/R

- Energy (kWh) = Power (kW) x Time (hours)

AC Fundamentals:

- Average Value = 0.637 x Vm

- RMS Value = 0.707 x Vm

- Form Factor = RMS / Average approximately 1.11

- Power Factor = cos(theta) = Real Power / Apparent Power

DC Machines:

- EMF Equation: E = (PphiNZ)/60A

- Types: Shunt, Series, Compound

Transformers:

- EMF Equation: E = 4.44fphiN

Induction Motors:

- Slip (s) = (Ns - Nr)/Ns

- Synchronous speed Ns = 120f/P

Synchronous Machines:
