Nutrition Month 2025 Celebration
ACTIVITY DESIGN
School Year 2024–2025
I. Activity Title: Nutrition Month 2025 Celebration
Theme: “Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority!”
II. Date/Venue:
Date: July 1–31, 2025
Venue: [Insert School Name], School Grounds / Classrooms / Covered Court
III. Target Participants:
Kindergarten to Grade 12 learners
Advisers and subject teachers
Parents (in selected activities)
School health personnel and stakeholders
IV. Background and Rationale:
In response to Presidential Decree No. 491, which designates July as Nutrition Month in the
Philippines, and in support of the National Nutrition Council’s (NNC) nationwide advocacy for
2025, the school community takes part in promoting the theme:
“Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority!”
This theme reflects the urgent call to action for all sectors, including schools, to ensure that every
Filipino has access to safe, affordable, and nutritious food. More than just food availability, this
year's celebration addresses equity, health, and education — because food and nutrition security
are not just goals, but rights.
For learners, this is more than just a celebration — it is an opportunity to engage in meaningful
activities that connect their learning to real-life concerns. Through this design, we aim to
promote participation that’s inclusive, values-driven, and age-appropriate while reinforcing
classroom learning on health and wellness.
V. Objectives of the Activity:
This activity seeks to:
1. Deepen learner awareness and understanding of food and nutrition security in the
Philippine context.
2. Provide interactive platforms for learners to express ideas, skills, and advocacy related to
nutrition.
3. Empower students to take small yet meaningful steps in promoting health and well-being
at home and in school.
4. Build strong collaboration between teachers, students, and parents in achieving holistic
education goals.
VI. Description of the Activity:
Throughout July 2025, the school will conduct a series of learner-centered, theme-based
activities aligned with DepEd's curriculum and the NNC's advocacy. These include:
Creative Contests (Poster Making, Nutri-Jingle, Baon Challenge)
Cognitive Contests (Quiz Bee, Slogan Writing)
Behavioral Advocacy (Nutrition Corners, Health Talks, Thematic Parade)
Each grade level or department will be assigned a specific activity to handle, with clear
rubrics and expectations. A culminating program will be conducted to recognize efforts
and showcase outputs.
