Personalpronomen(Personal Pronoun)
Personal pronoun is a substitute for a proper name of person.
Nominative case shows that the noun or pronoun is the subject
of sentence rather than object.
The personal pronouns are present in two cases that is singular
and plural. We also have the personal pronoun for formal and
informal use cases. In the above picture you can clearly see the
german personalpronomen with corresponding english personal
pronouns.
Verbs Forms
In german language we have different form of verb with different
personal pronoun. We will start with few verbs and will continue
to build up as we progress in the series.
Different forms of verb
For now just remember the verb form as it is. Later when in
vocabulary section we will understand the meaning of each
sentence.
Greetings
How do a conversation start? We meet, greet and ask questions
about each other. So let us understand how we do this in german.

Short Conversation
To understand a sentence we need to know about the sentence
structure. As we have both formal and informal
personalpronomen we have sentence structure accordingly.
FORMAL SENTENCE (among colleagues ): Sie + Vorname
+ Nachname
INFORMAL SENTENCE (among friends) : du + Vorname
Informal Conversation
Now you will ask how we will know if the conversation is formal
or informal. There are two checks:
1. See the verb form
2. See the personal pronoun attached
By matching these with the tables provided above you can relate
the sentence.
W-Frage
Also known as questions starting with letter “W”. Let us see the
structure of W-frage: Wie/Wo/Woher + verb + object
W-frage informal
The above table shows the W-frage in informal form. As an
exercise you can try the formal W-frage. Just keep in mind formal
personal pronoun and verb form used. Both of these things are in
this article. You just have to match it correctly.
Also after seeing all these sentences what do you find the
common thing in sentence structure? If you say place of verb
then it is absolutely …….. correct!!!
In all the sentences the structure is: subject + verb + object
Vocabulary
Now as we close our part 1 we will go through the vocabulary. I
