Dear Mr.
David
After discussing various marketing strategies for approaching the European market, we
believe that using e-commerce and hiring a top designer are the two strategies most likely to
succeed.
Firstly, I think that we should utilize e-commerce to increase sales because of the Internet’s
rapid growth in the 4.0 era, many people rely on smartphones to get product information and also to
go shopping online. Therefore, we need to be more active in raising our exposure and letting
everyone know more about our brand by conducting more advertising and marketing on social
media. We will sell our existing product lines via e-commerce platforms such as: Shopee, Lazada…at
very competitive prices, along with gift programs to attract more customers to our brand.
Secondly, our team recently set up a market research to find out how consumers feel about
the company's products in the US. As a result, up to 68% of customers think that our designs are old-
fashioned. Thus, changing the design team to recruit top designers is essential when we expand the
market to Europe. We employ a top designer to produce a new range of smaller suitcases and
shoulder bags aimed at businesspeople travelling in Europe and at rich, younger, fashion-conscious
buyers. We could start selling Hudson products at a reasonable price.
I think we have a lot of corporate matters to discuss on, so can we meet at Costa Coffee at
10a.m on October 28 to talk more about this? Looking forward to see you then.
Yours sincerely.
An
CEO of Hudson Corporation
