6.2.58 2W Audio Parameters Settings

Circumstantial Title
2W Audio Parameters Settings.

Purpose
Set the audio parameters settings: gain level of the audio signal, double talk mode and double talk threshold in the 2W telephony
interfaces.

Required Test Equipment

Front cable (0061840000000). See Section 6.3.4.

Conditions
System under normal operation. Plug in the Telephony interface to set and connect the front cable between the interface and a PC with a
generic terminal emulator (e.g. PuTTY or Hyperterminal).

Exposition
SET THE GAIN AUDIO LEVEL, DOUBLE TALK MODE AND VALUE OF DOUBLE TALK THRESHOLD OF THE TELEPHONY
INTERFACE FROM THE TERMINAL EMULATOR.
A telephony interface can be set with different parameters , return to the default values or set the current parameters settings.

Detailed Procedure

1) Choose the interface to set, plug in the rack and connect the front cable test between the RJ48 interface connector and the PC serial
port (Note: If computer has not serial port, use a commercial serial-usb converter to connect with D-SUB 9 PIN connector).

2) Open and configure your terminal emulator with values:

· Select correct COM port.

· Speed (baud): 9600

· Data bits: 8

· Stop bit: 1

· Parity: None

· Flow control: none
