Cr ochet in continuous spirals without joining the r ounds!

Put a mar ker (or use a scrap of contrasting yarn) at the beginning of each r ound.

T he finished pr oduct using a 4.5 m m cr ochet hook is ~7.4 inches / 19 cm.

THE REQUIRED MATERIALS:


- plush yarn "Himalaya Dolphin Baby"
Color of t he body No. 80353 (less t han one skein)
Color for t he overall No. 80309 (less t han one skein)
- Yarn Lanoso Single color No. 931 for hair
You can use any ot her yarn, for example , YarnArt Tango
You can cut a few yarn strands from Alize Soft y and attach t hem to t he head.
- cotton yarn for sculpt ing (I use a double Iris yarn)

- 4.5 mm crochet hook (or any different crochet hook t hat mat ches your yarn)
- 2 safet y eyes D=20 mm or any ot her eyes to your taste
I use shiny trapezoid eyes
- Stuffing mat erial (fiberfill/polyest er)

ABBREVIATIONS (US):
ch – chain
sc – single crochet

inc – increase – two single crochet in one st it ch


dec – decrease – two single crochet toget her
(….) х 6 t imes – repeat as inst ructed
(12) – number of single crochet in t he row
Sl st – slip st itch
DC – double crochet
Arms (make 2):

Start crocheting with the body color


1: Chain 2 and start crocheting in the second chain
from hook 6sc
2: 6inc (12)
3-4: (2 rounds) 12sc (12)
Change to the overall color
Cut skin color yarn and secure it
5: (2sc, dec)*3 (9)
6-9: (4 rounds) 9sc (9)
10: 7sc, dec (8)

Stuff only the bottom part of the arm.


Flatten together and crochet 4 sc through both loops.
Fasten off and break yarn.

Crochet the legs -body-head as one piece.


The stitch marker is on the backside.

Start crocheting the first leg:


Crochet with the overall color yarn
1: Chain 2 and start crocheting in the second chain
from hook 6sc
2: 6inc (12)
3-5: (3 rounds) 12sc (12)
Fasten off and break yarn.

Crochet the second leg similarly.


Do not cut yarn, and continue crocheting the body.
6: Chain 6 and attach it to the first leg. Crochet 12 sc to the leg,

6sc to the chain,

12sc to the second leg,

Place a stitch marker to indicate the beginning of the round.


Continue crocheting the body

Stuff the head with fiberfill firmly.

Complete stuffing

Tighten the hole with the help of the tapestry needle.


Break yarn, secure, and hide the tail inside the head.
Sculpt the eye sockets
I use a double Ir is yar n

1) Insert the needle in the middle under the head


between the colors change and
draw it out to the outer side of the eye.

2) Insert the needle in the inner side of the same eye


under the head, skip 1 sc.
The sculpting thread is under the eye.

3) Tighten. Tie the tails into a knot.


Repeat sculpting the secon d eye similarly.
Tie the tails into a knot. Hide the tail inside the head.

Make the eyes look forward:


Insert the needle into the neck under the head on the backside and draw it out in
any upper inner corner of the eye. Insert the needle in the bottom corner of the
same eye, and draw it out in the inner corner of the other eye. Insert the needle in
the upper second eye, and draw it out on the backside through one sc.

Embroider the nose at the level of the bottom line of t he eyes


With the body color yarn.
The nose is small. Make a few stitches.
The width is 2 sc.

Embroider the eyebrows.


Ears
The height is 3sc.
The ears are on the sides.

Attach a new yarn of the body color to the bottom point


and chain 3.

Start crocheting in the third chain from hook DC

Join to the upper point with a slip stitch.

To avoid the hole between the head and ear –


insert the needle
into one edge and make a stitch, grabbing the middle
of the ear and head.

Fasten off and hide the yarn tail inside.


Crochet the second ear similarly but from the top downward.

Hair
Take yarn Lanoso Single and a smaller hook (2.5 mm)
Attach yarn to the head and crochet sc in a circle.
Crochet sc inside the circle.
Fasten off and hide the tails inside the head.

You can crochet the hair from the center in spirals if it is convenient for you.

Decorate the toy with a bow or any different


decoration on the overall.

Our baby toy is finished!
