Introduction

Based on the scientific research of T. S. Usmankhodjayev, A. N. Livitsky, K. M. Makhkamjanov, R. S.

Salomov, F. Kh. Khodkhayev, G. K. Jalolova, F. A. Raimbekova they pointed out that one of the most
issues in the theory and practice of physical education today is the development on how to develop the
physical fitness of a large group of children in preschool education. The physical growth, strength, and
health of preschool-aged children cannot be ignored, and they must be addressed as soon as possible.
Many studies have been conducted on the physical development of children in the pre-school age group
as well as the healthy lifestyles of the younger generation (O. L. Boginich, Ye. S. Vilchkovskiy, N. F.
Denisenko, L. A. Svarkovska, I. I. Brekhman, O. D. Dubogay, R. Z. Potashniuk). At the same time, there
has been a trend in recent years to reduce the physical condition of pre-school children's levels.
Fundamental motor skills (FMS) are important for physical activity and healthy weight status in children,
yet it is unclear which early childhood factors facilitate subsequent motor skill. The aim of this
prospective study was to investigate which modifiable family and home environment factors in the early
years predict children`s Fundamental motor skills at age five. Children's motor skill competency (e. g,
core motor abilities like balancing, jumping, and throwing) is essential for them to be physically active,
which reduces the risk of them developing harmful physical activity and weight trajectories.
Fundamental motor abilities become the antecedents to more specialized movement and athletic skills
during the early years, up until the age of five, when motor competence is growing. Studying the
dynamics of the development of physical qualities of preschool children will help to identify problems
and formulate a strategy for health-oriented programs for preschool institutions, to provide general and
specific ways to preserve the health of preschool children. The basis for young children to acquire the
fundamental motor skills required to participate in a wide variety of games and movement activities lies
in part on being physically active. Research findings generally point to a positive association between
preschool children's motor skill competence and their level of physical activity. Preschool-age (2-5
years) is a critical period for developing motor skills and coordination. Preschool education centers
provide early childhood specialists with an opportunity to influence the development and behavior
patterns of young children. As concern the cognitive domain, recently, positive effects of motor
programs on pre-literacy skills have been demonstrated in pre-school age (Diamond, 2015; Callcott et al,
2018).

Motor skill competence directly influences physical activity levels in preschool children as it is positively associated with higher levels of physical activity. Competency in fundamental motor skills enables children to participate in a wider variety of games and movement activities, which encourages an active lifestyle and better health outcomes as they grow .

Preschool education centers can enhance motor skill competence by providing adequate opportunities for physical activity, developing structured motor skill programs that focus on fundamental skills like balancing, jumping, and throwing, ensuring a safe and stimulating play environment, and involving parents in promoting physical activity at home. These strategies should be part of broader health-oriented programs aimed at improving the overall health and development of preschool children .

There is a positive relationship between preschool children's motor skill development and their pre-literacy skills. Research has shown that motor programs have positive effects on pre-literacy skills during early childhood. Engaging motor skills at a young age not only supports physical development but also cognitive development, which includes pre-literacy skill enhancement .

The research suggests addressing the decline in preschool children's physical condition by focusing on developing fundamental motor skills through both family and educational environment interventions. Schools and parents need to collaborate to provide environments conducive to practicing fine and gross motor skills, as well as ensuring children have the space and encouragement to be physically active to counteract trends leading to reduced physical fitness .

Developed motor skills during the preschool years have significant long-term impacts on children's health trajectories, as these skills lay the groundwork for an active lifestyle, reduce the risk of sedentary behavior, and promote healthy weight management. Proficient motor skills in early childhood become antecedents to more specialized movement skills and athletic pursuits later in life, potentially reducing risks of lifestyle-related health issues .

Preschool age is considered critical for motor skills and coordination because it is a period where fundamental motor skills, such as balancing, jumping, and throwing, rapidly develop. These skills are antecedents to more specialized movement and athletic skills, and their development ensures that children are physically active, reducing the risk of them following unhealthy physical activity and weight trajectories as they grow .

Fundamental motor skills play a crucial role in the broader context of physical education theory and practice as they form the foundation for most physical activities and sports. Their development aids in enhancing motor competence, which is a key objective in physical education. By focusing on motor skills, physical education can contribute to children’s holistic health, promoting a lifelong engagement with active lifestyles and preventing negative physical and health outcomes .

Recent trends indicating a reduction in the physical condition of preschool children can negatively impact their future health and development. A decline in physical fitness and motor skills during early childhood can lead to less physical activity and increase the risk of developing unhealthy physical activity and weight trajectories. This underscores the importance of efforts to enhance motor skills and physical fitness during preschool years to promote lifelong health and physical activity patterns .

Family and home environment factors play a crucial role in the development of fundamental motor skills in preschool children. A prospective study aimed to identify which of these modifiable factors in early childhood could predict children's fundamental motor skills by age five. Key factors include physical space for active play, parental involvement, encouragement, and access to appropriate resources and activities that promote physical activity .

Understanding the dynamics of physical qualities development in preschool children aids in formulating health-oriented strategies by providing insights into the critical areas of intervention needed to foster healthy growth trajectories. By identifying factors that influence motor skills and overall physical development, professionals can design targeted programs that maximize physical activity, improve health outcomes, and address the physical condition declines observed in recent years among this age group .
