Task Guidelines
Dear Students,
To help you enjoy a productive and creative summer, the following guidelines are provided for completing your
biology activities. These will help you stay organized and get the most out of your learning!
General Instructions:
Time Management:
- Divide your work evenly across the break.
- Don’t wait until the last week to start your projects.
Presentation:
- Keep your work neat and clean.
- Label all diagrams and models clearly.
- Use colored pencils or markers to make your work visually appealing.
Research & Understanding:
- Use your textbook, internet, or library books for accurate information.
- Make sure you understand the concept before making models or writing answers.
Creativity & Effort:
- Be original—try to think creatively!
- Use recyclable materials for models.
- Add interesting facts or visuals wherever possible.
Teamwork for Group Tasks:
- Coordinate with your group members early.
- Distribute tasks fairly and help each other.
Task-Specific Guidelines:
Cell and its Organelles
- Use cardboard, clay, paper, or waste materials to build 3D models.
- Label each organelle with its name and function.
- Write a paragraph about cell specialization and how each type of cell works in the human body.
Stem Cell, Cell Cycle, Mitosis & Meiosis
- Flipbook must show all stages (e.g., Interphase, Prophase, Metaphase, etc.).
- Draw each stage clearly with captions.
- On the back of each page, write what happens in that particular stage.
Biodiversity & Classification
- Choose 5 organisms from different groups (e.g., mammals, insects, plants, etc.).
- Paste pictures or draw them.
- Mention both common and scientific names.
Three Domains of Life & Taxonomic Ranks
- Choose at least 3 organisms.
- Make flashcards showing classification (Domain, Kingdom, Phylum...).
- Write unique features of each organism on the back of the card.
Model Making (Group Projects)
Each group must create one model based on the topic assigned:
- Group 1: link of bio with other sciences
- Group 2: Cell specialization & Division of labour model.
- Group 3: Cell cycle and division stages in a creative format.
- Group 4: Mini forest or ocean ecosystem model with labels.
- Group 5: 3D Domain Tree with branches representing classification levels.
