using analog and digital clock.
C. Presentation of the Lesson
1. Lesson Proper

What do I have here?
Now, what is clock?
clock is used to tell time and measure time. Clock.
Now, there are 2 types of clock, the digital and analog
clock.
Digital clock displays the time in numbers, rather than
by the clock/ analog hands.
-It tells you the exact time.
-clock uses numbers 0-23 or 1-12 to display the hour.
Analog clock is a tool for reading the time of day.
-The shortest hand indicates the hour.
- The longer hand indicates the minutes.
- the longest hand indicates the seconds
In reading analog clock we begin to read it clockwise. This
short hand tells hour. This number 1 to 12 tells hours. If we
used short hand to tell an hour, we also have a long hand in
telling a minute. We count the minutes by 5’s.
In writing time, we write the hour first and then colon,
followed by the minutes. We use colon to separate hour and
minutes.
For example:
the short hand point at 12 and the long hand point the 3.
Since the short hand point at 12, means that the hour is 1.
Next to it will be the colon mark (:)to be followed by the
minutes, since the longhand points at 3 it is equivalent to 15.
The time shown is written as 12:15 and it must read as
twelve: fifteen.
The face of the Analog Clock has 12 equal parts
numbered 1 to 12. From 12 o’clock midnight to 12
o’clock noon is a complete turnaround of the clock. This
is called morning or ante median (a.m.).

From 12 o’clock noon to 12 o’clock midnight it is called
afternoon/evening or post median.
Lastly, it is important to indicate if the time is in A.M. or
P.M. We say 7 o’clock A.M. if we mean 7 o’clock in the
morning.
Kids did you know that it is important for us to do our task
in time, so that we can be healthy just following the right
time for our activities.
We can Eat our Breakfast on time, eat lunch, Nap on time.
Eat Dinner and prepare to sleep, by following that simple
activities we can assure that it can help us stay healthy.

Make your own Analog clock using recyclable materials that
you can see in your home. Make sure that it includes the
numbers from 1 to 12 and its three hands that represent
the hour, minutes, and seconds.
