Simple past tense:

Definition: Simple Past tense is used when we talk about an action


that started and ended at a cleat time in the past.
Structure:
Affirmative sentence:
Subject+Second form of the verb+Complement.
Example: She Bought a Book last week.
Negative Sentence:
S+did+not+Verb+Complement.
She did not buy a book last week.
Interrogative sentence:
Did+S+V+Complement.
Did she buy a book last week?
Negative interrogative sentence:
Did+S+Not+V+Complement.
Did he not buy a book last week?
Simple Future Tense:
Definition:
It is used to talk about an action that take place in the future.
Stucture: Affirmative sentence:
S+will+v+complement.
He will graduate from school next year.

Structure:
Negative Sentence:
S+will not +verb+com.
He will not graduate from school next year.
Structure:
Interrogative sentence:
Will+S+V+comp
Will he graduate from school nexr year?

Present Continous tense:
Definition: It is used to show an action which is in progress at the
moment of speaking.
Stucture: Affirmative sentence:
S+be+ving+complement.
He is speaking English now
Negative Sentence:
Stucture: S+ be + not+ ving+comp.
He is not speaking English now.
Interrogative sentence:
Structure: Be + S+ Ving+comp
Is he speaking English now?
Negative interrogative sentence:
Structure: Be + s+ Not+ ving+comp?

Past progressive tense:
Definition: It is used to show an action that was in progress at a
particular time in the past.
Stucture: Affirmative sentence:
S+was/were+ving+com.
He was studying the English book at 7pm this morning.

He was not studying the English book at 7 pm this morning

Interrogative sentence:
