SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN RESOLUTION NO. 2025-001
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SANGGUNIANG
KABATAAN INTERNET LIBRARY TO PROMOTE DIGITAL LITERACY,
EDUCATIONAL ACCESS, AND YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) is committed to promoting the welfare and
development of the youth through programs and initiatives that enhance their education,
skills, and participation in community-building;
WHEREAS, access to reliable internet and digital resources is essential in today’s
education system, especially for students engaged in online or blended learning, and for
young individuals seeking knowledge and skills for their personal and professional
development;
WHEREAS, many youth in the barangay still lack access to internet services,
computers, and digital resources at home, which poses a disadvantage in academic
and employment opportunities;
WHEREAS, an Internet Library will serve as a learning hub that provides access to
computers, stable internet connection, digital educational materials, and training
programs for digital literacy;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of SK Member Hon. Lirra E. Paredes, duly seconded by
Hon. Althea Mae S. Estores, be it:
RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, that the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay
Santa Clara hereby supports and endorses the establishment of a SK Internet Library
for the benefit of the youth sector;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the SK shall coordinate with the Barangay Council, the
Municipal Government, NGOs, private donors, and other relevant stakeholders for the
sourcing of funds, equipment, and technical support necessary for the implementation
of the project;
RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be furnished to the Barangay
Council, Municipal/City Mayor’s Office, the Department of Information and
Communications Technology (DICT), the Department of Education (DepEd), and other
concerned agencies for their support and information.
