Content Standard
Demonstrates understanding of the musical characteristics of representative music from the
highlands of Luzon, Mindoro, Palawan, and the Visayas

Performance Standards
Performs selected vocal and instrumental music of Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and the Visayas
in appropriate style.

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of 45 minutes’ discussion, learner can perform the following with at least 80%
proficiency level:
a. Identifies the musical instruments and other sound sources from Cordillera, Mindoro,
Palawan and of the Visayas; MU7LV-IIa-f-2
b. detail the commonalities of Iloilo Panay Bukidnon’s sugidanon (epic-chanting) with
Indonesia’s sulukan (vocal music);
explain the intersections of sugidanon and sulukan in terms of concepts and practices.
