1. From the PPTs, the Southeast Asia Teachers Competency Standards and the TEDx
videos that you viewed, what competencies does a great teacher possess?
The Competencies that a great teacher must posses are personal qualities and professional competency because
being a great teacher is not just always after the context of the lesson, a great teacher also touches the heart of his or
her students. Having this qualities can build a good relationship between the teacher and students, and I do believe
that a good relationship can contribute to an effective and quality learning.
Reflect
1. Which personal traits do I possess? Not possess? Where do I need improvement in?
I see myself as a good listener, someone who truly values the thoughts and feelings of others. This ability allows me
to connect deeply with people, making them feel heard and understood. I genuinely care for everyone around me,
always striving to offer support and compassion whenever it’s needed. My loving nature not only helps me build
strong relationships but also creates an environment where others feel safe and valued. I think that this personal
traits of my is I need to possess as a teacher, because I know that most of the students want’s and need this kind
traits. I do believe that this personal traits of mine can help to build a strong foundation of communication and good
relationship between my students and me. Also as a person I’m very soft hearted, for me to cry even in a smallest
things! And often I want to be alone for no reason, sometimes I’m too talkative and and lively reason for me out of
the [Link] a future educator I must handle and not possess this kind of attitude, I decided to reduce, lessen or
removed such attitude for me to build the best version of me. As a future educator I must improve my vocabulary
and how I speak in front, for me to deliver my ideas clearly and effectively, so that I will be more confident to speak
in front of people specially to my future learners.
I am very capable of demonstrating strong communication skills, which help me share ideas clearly and work well
with others. I enjoy collaborating with my team and making sure everyone feels heard and valued. When it comes to
problem-solving, I’m good at handling challenges and finding solutions that benefit the group. My leadership skills
allow me to inspire my colleagues and create a positive work environment where everyone feels motivated to
contribute their best. Time management is another area where I excel. I prioritize my tasks effectively, ensuring that
I meet deadlines while maintaining the standard of my work. I believe that staying organized and focused is key to
success. Additionally, my critical thinking abilities enable me to carefully evaluate information and make informed
decisions. By considering all the facts and different viewpoints, I can develop strategies that lead to better outcomes.
As a future educator I must develop my technical skills because I believe that developing technical skills is very
important for my growth and effectiveness as a teacher. I want to make learning fun and engaging for my students,
and having the right tools and knowledge will help me do that. By learning how to use different educational
technologies, like interactive whiteboards, online learning platforms, and educational apps, I can create lessons that
capture my students' attention and keep them interested. For example, using digital tools can help me design
activities that encourage collaboration among students. I can also use technology to track their progress and
understand how they learn best. This way, I can adjust my teaching methods to meet their individual needs, making
sure that every student feels supported and valued. Staying updated on the latest trends in educational technology is
crucial. Technology is always changing, and it’s important for me to learn about new tools that can enhance
learning. By doing this, I can prepare my students for the world they will face, where technology plays a big role in
everyday life.
For me the teachers I remember the most is the teacher who always lending hand to help students. One teacher, in
particular, was really passionate about math. I felt safe asking questions in her class because she always listened and
encouraged me. She used different strategies to deliver her lesson effectively that helped me understand the lessons
better. My teacher has a special way of connecting with us. She shared personal stories that made mathematics exist
in personal scenario. She was easy to talk to, so I felt comfortable asking for help when I didn’t understand
something. She always pushed us to think critically, which helped me express my ideas more confidently. These
experiences showed me how important it is to have a supportive and engaging teacher. She inspired me to be curious
and made me believe that learning can be enjoyable and meaningful. Looking back, I see how these teacher not only
taught me but also helped shape how I see myself and the world .
OBSERVE
1. In assisting my Resource Teacher, I observed that personal traits such as humor and
creativity and professional competencies like technical skills and time management were
least/ not displayed and as a result, students were/ class was feel bored they are not that active and
they also lose interest in the subject. For them lessons are unclear or unengaging as their teacher teach them, leading
to reduced participation and enthusiasm.
REFLECT
2. The lack of these personal traits and professional competencies (mentioned in #1)
may be caused by personal problems or facing challenges like heavy or workload that led to stress and
burnout, leaving little room for creative lesson planning. Sometimes, the rigid curriculum made it difficult to stray
from the set guidelines, which stifled the ability to incorporate engaging activities. Also struggled with limited
access to technology and resources because of short period of time, which made it challenging to develop
technical skills and effectively integrate them into teaching.
PLAN
3. I would like to address this problem (mentioned in #2) by conducting an action research
on Enhancing Student Engagement: An Action Research Study on Integrating Humor, Creativity, Technical Skills,
and Time Management in the Classroom. This action research offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth.
It allows for reflection on teaching practices, identification of areas for improvement, and the development of new
skills in humor, creativity, and technology. By experimenting with different methods, the teacher can discover
effective strategies that resonate with students, enhancing overall teaching effectiveness. Furthermore, a focus on
time management can help the teacher plan and execute lessons more efficiently, reducing stress and improving
classroom dynamics. Ultimately, this research aims to create a more engaging and supportive learning environment,
benefiting both students and the teacher.
ACT
4. a.) The main objective of my action research is The main objective of the action research titled
"Enhancing Student Engagement: An Action Research Study on Integrating Humor, Creativity, Technical Skills,
and Time Management in the Classroom" is to improve student engagement and learning outcomes through the
systematic exploration and implementation of effective teaching strategies. Specifically, the research aims to
identify the current levels of student engagement and determine areas where humor, creativity, technical skills, and
time management can be enhanced. It will implement targeted strategies that incorporate humor and creativity into
lessons, improve technical skills, and enhance time management practices. The study will also evaluate the impact
of these strategies on student engagement, participation, and academic performance. Finally, the research will reflect
on the effectiveness of these approaches to inform ongoing teaching practices and professional development. By
achieving these objectives, the research seeks to create a more dynamic and supportive learning environment that
benefits both students and the teacher.
How does the integration of humor in lessons impact student engagement and participation?
What creative teaching strategies can be implemented to enhance student understanding and interest in the
subject matter?
In what ways do improved technical skills influence the effectiveness of lesson delivery and student
interaction?
How can effective time management techniques improve lesson pacing and overall classroom dynamics?
What is the relationship between the use of humor, creativity, and students’ academic performance?
How do students perceive the changes in teaching methods regarding their learning experience?
I will follow a structured approach that includes data collection using both qualitative and quantitative methods. This
will involve administering student surveys to gauge their engagement and perceptions, conducting classroom
observations to assess participation, and analyzing academic performance records to track changes over time. I will
implement strategies that integrate humor, creative teaching methods, and technology into my lessons, such as using
storytelling to introduce humor, employing project-based learning for creativity, and incorporating educational tools
to enhance technical skills. Throughout the process, I will monitor student engagement by observing their responses
to different teaching strategies, taking notes on participation levels and the overall classroom atmosphere. After a set
period, I will evaluate the impact of these strategies by analyzing the collected data to determine any noticeable
improvements in engagement and academic performance, comparing results from before and after implementing the
changes. Reflecting on my findings, I will consider what worked well and what didn’t, taking into account student
feedback and my observations to understand the effectiveness of my approaches. Based on these insights, I will
adjust my methods as needed, further refining the use of humor, exploring new creative techniques, and enhancing
my technical skills. Finally, I will document the results, discussing how each strategy influenced student
engagement and learning, highlighting any significant changes and insights gained from the process.
Work On My Artifacts
Attach your reflections here.
Reflecting on my experiences and insights from the learning episode 1, I realize the profound
impact that personal qualities and professional competencies have on effective teaching. Great
teachers embody both personal traits like empathy, communication skills, and adaptability and
professional competencies, such as lesson planning and classroom management. These elements
work together to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment. As I consider my own
personal traits, I see strengths in being a good listener and genuinely caring for others. These
qualities are essential for building strong relationships with students, making them feel valued
and understood. However, I recognize areas for improvement, particularly in managing my
emotional responses and enhancing my public speaking skills. I aim to develop a more composed
demeanor while also expanding my vocabulary to communicate my ideas more clearly and
confidently. In terms of professional competencies, I feel strong in my communication, problem-
solving, leadership, time management, and critical thinking skills. These abilities allow me to
collaborate effectively with peers and lead in a positive way. Yet, I understand the necessity of
developing my technical skills further. Embracing educational technology will enable me to
create engaging lessons and adapt to the diverse needs of my students. Staying updated on the
latest tools will not only enhance my teaching but also prepare my students for a technology-
driven world. Reflecting on the teachers I remember most vividly, I think of one particular math
teacher who created a safe and encouraging classroom atmosphere. Her passion for the subject
and ability to connect lessons to real-life scenarios made learning enjoyable and meaningful. She
inspired curiosity and critical thinking, helping me build confidence in my abilities. This
experience reinforces my belief in the importance of being a supportive and engaging educator,
as these qualities can shape how students view themselves and their potential. Overall, my
reflections highlight the interconnectedness of personal traits and professional competencies in
teaching. I aspire to cultivate both areas as I prepare for my future role as an educator, ensuring
that I can make a lasting, positive impact on my students’ lives.

Analyze
Let us try to look into the following scenarios in the daily life of a teacher. This
scenario might also be similar to the class you have observed and noticed.
Scenario A: Miss Fely is a grade four teacher in a typical elementary school. She has forty
learners in her class. One half of them cannot classify animals into vertebrates and
invertebrates. She has been repeating the same science lesson for two weeks, yet no
progress was observed. This situation has been bothering Miss Fely.
A
What solution can solve Miss Fely's problem?
Among the two solutions I suggested to Miss Fely, I believe the use of vedio presentation with
content on the topic is the most likely to solve her problem. Because she works with fourth-grade
students, I believe students in that grade level will find it entertaining to watch vedios, and I am
confident that this solution will address Miss Fely's problem.
HOW?
Well, by putting the solution into action. First, she must select videos appreciate for fourth-grade
students. Next, she must ensure that the content does not include any violet clips that would be
inappropriate for students to watch. In add, she must present the videos to the class, and
elaborate on the topic. As a result, at the end of the presentation, she must reiterate and
emphasize key points from the lesson.
Are they matched with the problem?
Yes, I believe so. The solutions I proposed above correspond to Miss Fely's problem. Miss Fely's
problem of her students poor understanding of their topic on vertebrates and invertebrates is
addressed by the solutions provided. Furthermore, because the solution proposed includes the use
of visual and Audio-visual materials such as chart and Educational videos, these would aid her
in her elaboration of the topic to her students. Furthermore, this would allow her students to
easily assimilate information and make connections from the materials presented about their
topic.
Scenario B: Sir Ryan teaches in disadvantaged urban community. Most of his earners come
from families that are disrupted, either with single parents or with their guardians who
stand only as parents. They are deprived of the necessary food, clothing and shelter.
CanREFLEC
you identify the most probable teaching-learning problems in the class on Sir Ryan?
the mostTlikely teaching-learning issue in Sir Ryan's class would be a lack of parental assistance,
as the majority of his students came from a disrupted family, which immediately reduce time and
parenting inputs to their children. Another issue that could arise is poor attendance and
insufficient students motivation, as students in the disadvantaged urban community are deprived
of basic human needs such as food, clothing , and shelter, which has a negative impact on their
interest.
Can you propose a solution to solve one of the problems the you have identified?
Among the problems identified, I believe that holding students and parents accountable for
frequent and unjustified absence is one of the best solutions to poor attendance and inadequate
student motivation. He must also put in place a strict attendance policy that addresses the issue of
excessive absence. In terms of motivation, Sir Ryan must share motivational quotes, stories, or
videos every day before beginning the class discussion. These things will encourage his students
to value Education and recognize that their current situation is not permanent. He must make his
students realize that there are many stories of people those from to become well know and
wealthy. and that they, too can do is if they are motivated to study.
After reading the two scenarios given above, how would identifying problematic
situations and finding solutions to these problems help you to become a better teacher?
Explain: As a future teacher, you must be observant in order to identify problematic situations.
How? By Allowing yourself to pay attention to the details that occur in your surroundings.
Identifying problematic situations in the classroom and finding potential solutions will help me
become a better educator someday by improving my ability to look and observe attentively.
Aside from that, it allows me to develop and comprehend the issues that commonly arise in
classroom.

Overview
Learning Environment 2:
If the teacher is using a distance delivery of learning through the modules, where is
most likely the learning space of the students?
Google meet is mostly likely the learning space of the students.
Can you describe?
It is kind of software program that enables many participants to join to same virtual
conference at their earliest convenience, including students, business people, and other
groups. It is also less expensive than the others online application.
How can you as a teacher help to make such environment conducive for learning?
By using virtual surface apps, enhancing their options, and offering them the chance to
take other online classes of face- to-face classes, I believe I can assist the students in2
creating a Learning environment that is favorable to learning. In the modern era, we also
take into account the value of digital.
Analyze
As a teacher, in which of the two situations would you prefer to manage for
learning? Choose between Learning environment 1or Learning Environment 2.
Explain your choice: Why?
I think what I will choose is the learning environment one which is the face-
to-face set up because I can now clearly see how difficult it is for lectures to
impact knowledge on things that should be seen and experienced, exactly like
laboratory courses and OJTs. As a result of the simplicity of seeing one another
and the ease of studying, it is simple for both students and professor.
Reflect
Based on my noticing and analysis, I realized that
a. The situation and the topics above are very now and its relevant to know.
b. It's affects not just the students but also the teachers.
c. We can expand the learning options of the students.
OBSERVE
What probable problem may result from the two situations of the learning
environment?
I think the probable problem is that how sure the teacher that his/her students are learning
using this to Learning environment.
REFLECT
What solutions can I think of to solve the problem?
Always keep an eye out for each students problems and development. Make sure every
quarter the students pass the activity to demonstrate that they completed the work. You must let
the students know that in order to accomplish that, they must also focus on their own well-being
and make preparations for a positive and healthy environmentm
PLAN
Work on my Artifacts
In not less than 300 words, write an essay on the topic: “My Conducive Learning
Environment”
As a future teacher, I want to make sure that my classroom is conducive to learning. The
first quality is flexibility. I want to change the furniture in my classroom to have several roomy,
open activity areas where students can collaborate in groups. I will also supply whiteboards and
clipboards for individuals who lack access to a table or desks. Additionally, I'll make advantage
of outdoor learning areas as needed. Additionally, I'll put their work and the steps they took to
create it up on the wall to inspire students to study. I will meet with the kinds one last time to talk
about the kinds of settings they desire for their learning environment.
Openness is the second trait. I want to use Kids artwork to beautify the walls. The
children's self-esteem will rise as a result of this. For instance, providing six-year olds with a
comfortable reading area will inspire them to read more. The introduction of shared open spaces
with other classes is another way I think I can assist the kids in realizing their full physical,
intellectual, and emotional potential.
The availability of resources is the third factor. As a prospective teacher, I must keep in
my mind that maximizing my resources will not only help a child's learning and development,
but also save me time and money. I'm going to autho myself to get the materials I need to
enhance my childs educational experience. Examples include movies. PowerPoint slideshow,
worksheet, cabinets and files, novels, and dictionaries. This helps me and my students stay
organized while also enabling them to get the most out of their educational experience.
The fourth choice is real classroom. I will make sure that the placement of desks and
work areas, the aesthetics and appeal of bulletin boards, and the storage of materials and supplies
are all done properly in my future role as teachers. The Fact that the area is both clean and secure
will be evident to my kids.
The Last environment is the psychological one. I want to make my classroom friendly
and accommodating for kids when I become a teacher. They should talk about their opinions and
feelings regarding something. I'll make sure I can live up to their expectations as well.

to do before sharing it with the entire class to get them to concentrate on what they are doing in
class. If you provide your students a quiet space and time to finish their assignments, it can also
be helpful.

Title: The Face-to-Face Learning Environmen
Describe the physical environment:
The physical environment of the school reflects the significance of have secure,
hygienic, and welcoming surrounding in fostering an environment where students
learn. it evaluates the condition of the schools physical structure, ambient noise,
lighting, indoor air quality, and thermal comfort, as well as its place in the
community.

Environment Safe
and Conducive
Notice
Unlike the traditional face to face classroom environment, online or virtual
environment is a bit difficult to manage. It is because Virtual Learning Environment
(VLE) is imaginary and not in the physical sense. It has no concerns or walls and it can be
set up with the support of technology.
As a teacher, what have you discovered to be easy to implement in your virtual class?
You can easily hold a virtual class by recoding yourself while you discuss the lesson. Then speak
to the camera as through you are speaking to Children. After that, post it to social media sites
like YouTube so that everyone who views it can get knowledge from what you have said.
How did the students shows their active participation in the lesson?
By commenting on their response or feedback in the videos activities. Then I'll compare it to
another recorded video and clarify anything they don't understand.
Analyze
Which of the following is/are your analysis/analyses of on-line learning environment?
Check one or more.
Reflect
As a future teacher I feel that the on line learning environment can be safe if
During class, adults or guardians assist students in focusing on the lesson or topic discussed by
the teachers online. if the children's actions and responses to the teacher are being monitored
online by someone they respect, the students will undoubtedly focus and pay attention to the
teacher. If the children do not understand something, adults who are physically close to him/her
can him/her in understanding the lesson.
According to my observation, one of the most prominent problems in the online learning
environment is that there are numerous temptations and disruptions during online classes.
Second, students Attention spans are shorter than on a regular face-to-face basis. The third most
important requirement is an internet connection.
First, I will establish ground rules that no toys are permitted during class hours. Second, an adult
must monitor and guide the child during online classes. Third, before beginning the class, ensure
that your internet connection is of the highest quality. Finally, I will show more examples of
videos that the child can watch after the discussion. To assis children in managing their own
behavior during class hours, I must implement class rules, event if they are done online.

After doing your classroom routines and formulating your procedures; state what
you noticed by answering the following questions:
How did you feel after employing your classroom routines and establishing your
procedures in the classroom/remote learning?
I felt happy and satisfied after a week of observation, using classroom rountines, and
establising procedures because I had learned about childrens personalities and realized
that I could still manage, be flexible, and organize things. Despite the difficulties, I taught
the value of developing good habits to young minds. Recognize that established routines
and procedures are for their benefits.
How did your students respond to your classroom routines and procedures?
Students showed a great deal of interest in learning and discovering new constructive
habits. It was clarified through questions with responses. Be a good role model. Improve
your ability to learn on your own and collaboration with others. Assign basic
accountability, increased comfort and value perception.
What was the feedback of your Resource Teacher on your classroom routines and
procedures?
The resources teacher valued my initiative in helping to direct her students, Actively
participate in the class while maintaining organization. Relationship established in good
spirits. Lessen her stress and burden, whose students is obstinate. Permit yourself to focus
on other related obligations and duties. Please give me some guidance on how to keep
fostering teaching methodologies for professional development.
Positive changes have definitely occurred. Students who can act and behave

complete learning tasks. Together, teacher and student learn continuously through holistic
approaches. Preserve order in the classroom Observe clear expectations and smooth
activity transition.
Analyze
1. What factors/conditions prompted you to establish those classroom routines and
procedures?
The use of classroom rountines and procedures is based on children's natural characteristics. It is
effective to be creative and innovation in a traditional classroom given the situation. Play, games,
etc, should be included, a strategy for addressing needs, focusing attention, and promoting
learning success. They are prodded to go into great detail about what will be expected of them. A

plan because it will enable me to better manage a diverse group of students by giving me options
for rules and procedures that are more useful to students.
3. What were the significant things that you notice when you were implementing your
plan?
The most significant lesson I've learned from implementing my plan is that organization and
management of the classroom depend on planning. The classroom management plan helps
students concentrate on what they are learning and comprehend what is expected of them. The
provision of a safe and effective learning environment while minimizing distractions within our
school is one of the main objectives of this plan.
4. Were there items in your classroom/learning management plan which were not tailored
to the needs of your students? How will you improve on this?

2. Describe how you or the teacher utilized the resources/instructional materials. Narrate
your experience as you participated and assisted.
My resource teacher emphasize to her pupils the need of being responsible in completing
assignment, activities and project on time.
3. What were your feelings and thoughts while you were assisting with the use of the
resources/materials?
Everytime the resource teacher ask for our assistance, I was overjoyed. It will serve as a stepping
stone or training ground for us to become better teachers in the future. I'm planning to presenting
the lesson topic to the students everything is covered.
4. Describe how the students responded and participated.
Some students completed their assignments on time while others were unable to finish the
assignment.
Analyze
What worked well during the activity using the resources/materials?
Throughout the lessons content. These reference materials are essential for learning to occur. The
use of resource materials by both teachers and students facilities the delivery of lessons.
What would you have done differently? What would I change? What make it better next
time?
I should have use some imagine and videos to show them so they will understand more the
message of the literary text. I should have use digital songs so learners are able to sing the song
on their own.
How does this connect with what you know about selecting and using instructional
materials?
This is connected with using of instructional materials by not just disseminating them but also
studying each literature and how it should be sing or read.
Reflect
1. How ready am I in selecting and developing resources/instructional materials in the
teaching-learning process?
I still have a lot to learn about choosing and creating resources and teaching materials. Even
though I am good at choosing materials, there are times when I wonder if they are appropriate for
my students. As a teacher, I still have room to grow in items of knowledge and abilities, but I'm
confident that with the aid of professionals and first- hand experiences, I can still do so.
3. What can I do to learn more about and practice the use of resources and instructional
materials?
I'll ask my resource teacher for advice on how to choose materials and how to use them
effectively. I'll also look for professional webinars online and watch various instructional
materials-related videos on YouTube.

Learning
Analyze
Did the formative assessment tasks help students master what they were expected to
learn?
Yes. The teacher questioned the students in order to continuously gauge their
understanding. In order to assess the students level of knowledge, provide timely, helpful
feedback to students, and modify their teaching or instruction to ensure that students meet
or master the learning objectives, the teacher periodically pauses the discussion to ask the
students about their understanding of the topics being covered.
What was the effect of students assessing their own progress on their motivation to
learn?
Students can assess their own performance using a technique called self- assessment.
Students can improve and take more responsibility for their education by critically
evaluating their own learning progress and performance. This will help them become
more of their own strengths and weakness.
Reflect
How would attainment of learning outcomes be affected if there were no formative
assessments nor self-assessments?
I think the students will be unable to learn. The students will not be able to achieve the lessons
learning objectives. They may be perplexed by the activity or tasks assigned by the teacher. They
will deliver poor results m Students will also be unmotivated to learn.

Assessment for
Formative and
Summative Purposes
Analyze
1. Are the assessment tasks aligned with the learning outcomes?
Yes, since the students will be able to understand the teachers assessment and will be able to
realize that each students has gained a great deal of knowledge.
2. Did teacher make use of both traditional and authentic assessment tasks?
Yes, both traditional and authentic assessment assignment are used by the instructor.
3. Are the traditional and authentic assessment tasks (written tests) formulated in
accordance with principles of test construction?
Yes, because traditional and genuine assessment activities, such as objective answer
examinations that require students to apply ideas or synthesize and evaluate data and text in
order to be developed, require principles to better capture the learning outcome.
4. Were the assessment tasks for formative purposes also used for summative purposes?
Why or why not?
Yes, formative assessment assignment were used for summative purposes because we needed
to assess students learning. Students and instructors, on the other hand, can use feedback from
summative evaluation to direct their efforts and activities in future courses.
5. Where were assessment results students better – in the results of traditional or authentic
assessment?
In terms of assessment activities, I believed that real assessment produces the best results
because it allows students to demonstrate their creativity while also Allowing them to improve
their knowledge and abilities. They can also be based on real-life scenarios and used to teach
and improve students abilities and comprehension of course material.
6. Which assessment activity/ activities did the students like more? like least? Why?
Written assessment are generally preferred by students because they are thought to reduce stress
and exam anxiety and are simple to prepare for and take.
Reflect
How can I make the assessment-process more meaningful to and more acceptable to
students?
One of the most important aspects of learning is assessment, which is the process of informing
each student about what they know or have learned. When I consider my own definition of a
meaningful evaluation, I believe the test must meet certain criteria. As a future teacher, I will
make the assessment process more relevant and acceptable to students because the evaluation
should cover abilities that students will need in the future. My evaluation will be structured to
allow students to demonstrate their skill and knowledge in a demanding environment.
OBSERVE
1. One thing/ some things went well is/ are in the development/ use/ administration of
assessment tasks are the test was designed in accordance with the concept of test
construction, and it employs traditional and authentic assessment tasks, as well as an
understanding of each students knowledge and abilities.
2. One thing/ some things is/ are that did not go very well in the development/ use /
administration of assessment tasks are the students were unable to understand what to
do in their evaluation because they lacked a solid plan for completing the work tasks, and
the students also locked the direction.
REFLECT
This part of the assessment process went well because they completely understood what the
teacher was teaching, and the students assessment were excellent. They also achieve the learning
objectives because the instructions will use the strategies to help students improve their skills and
knowledge.
This part of the assessment process did not go well because some students and pupils do not
understand much of what the teacher is saying, while others do not understand how to complete
assessment activities.

Research Plan
Planning is an important sill that every teache3r should have Just like lesson
planning, doing research requires a double plan. It sets a direction where one is going,
how to go there, why should one go there, and above all, what is there to accomplish.
The ultimate goal of doing action research is improve teacher’s practices in order
to improve learning. It requires one to e reflective, observant, and inquiring and must be
ready to take action.
Any research action plan should be placed in writing, just like a lesson plan. This
is what we are going to do.
Use the following steps of the model. Your answer to the Key Questions in each step will
guide you in making your plan.
Step 1: OBSERVED. Observe and notice to identify the common problems.
Key questions:
What common problem have I observed and noticed?
Can I translate the problem into questions?
Why is the problem important to me as a future teacher?
Why is the problem important to the learners?
What I have I read and learned about this problem in my previous courses?
What do references say about the problem?
Step 4: ACTION on the PLAN: This step will l be done during the Teaching
Internship for FS 2 if given the time. You may collaborate with your mentor or your
classmate.
Notice
Remember: Noticing is making sense of your observations and making interpretation to adapt
to the situation. It begins with paying attention that leads to interpretation and deciding what
action should be taken.
Making a capsule Action Research Plan will prepare you to undertake an actual Action
research. You will be able to assist your mentor to do similar research together.
