SAFC Draft Tournament Rules (2025 Edition)

1. Tournament Format:

 8 teams will participate in total.


 4 teams will be owned by seniors (Batch 16 or earlier).
 4 teams will be part of the draft — top 4 bidders from the draft will receive team
ownership.
 The tournament includes group stages and knockouts.
 All teams must follow the squad rules and player draft system.

2. Player Eligibility:

 Players must be students of Sristy Academic School.


 Each player can only register in one team.
 All players must get a green signal (approval) from their SSC batch management
before registering.
 Player registration must be submitted before the draft day.

3. Draft System & Player Auction:

A. Team Budget

 Each draft team gets 1000 points as a virtual budget.


 Points are used to bid for players — no real money is used.

B. Player Categories

 Star Player: Base price 30 points


 Core Player: Base price 15 points
 Anchor: Base price 10 points
 Categories are decided by the organizing committee.

C. Draft Rules

 Players are announced one by one.


 Teams place bids; the highest bidder gets the player.
 Teams cannot exceed their 1000-point budget.
D. Squad Size

 Minimum: 12 players
 Maximum: 14 players (including substitute)
 Must include at least 1 Senior and 1 Newcomer.

E. Optional Rule

 If there are not enough players available during the draft, the committee may allow one
external (non-Sristy) player per batch to join via draft.

4. Match Rules:

 9-a-side (8 players + 1 goalkeeper)


 Match Time: 30 mins (2 halves of 15 minutes)
 Rolling substitutions allowed (max 3 on bench)
 No offside
 Throw-ins allowed

5. Fouls & Cards:

 5 fouls = 2-minute suspension for 1 player (sin-bin)


 Yellow Card = 3-minute suspension
 Red Card = banned for next match.

6. Points System:

 Win = 3 points
 Draw = 1 point
 Loss = 0 points
 Tiebreakers: Goal Difference → Goals Scored → Cards → Coin Toss

7. Awards:

 Champion Team
 Best Manager (Draft Strategy)
 Golden Boot (Top Scorer)
 Golden Glove (Best Goalkeeper)
 MVP
 Best Emerging Player (Newcomer)

8. Discipline & Attendance:

 If any player is absent during the tournament, they will be banned from at least 1
match in SAFC 2026.
 Their SSC batch Management will be fined 500 BDT. No arguments or excuses will be
accepted.
 If a player is absent during a match, their team can replace them with a reserve
player from the Newcomer batch, chosen beforehand (only one reserve allowed per
team).

9. Registration Policy & Fees:

 All players must:


o Fill the registration form
o Pay the registration fee
o Obtain approval from SSC batch management

 Newcomers: Free registration


 Batch 23–26: 40 BDT
 Batch 19–22: 70 BDT
 Seniors (Batch 18 and earlier): 100 BDT

10. Committee Authority:

 The organizing committee reserves the right to add, modify, or remove any rule at
any time in the best interest of the tournament.
 All decisions made by the committee will be final and binding.
 No appeals or objections will be entertained once a decision is made.
