INTRODUCTION

"Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself."


— John Dewey. As I begin my pre-service teaching
internship at Calamba National Comprehensive High School,
this quote by John Dewey resonates deeply with me. It
reminds me that learning isn't confined to textbooks or
classrooms—it's woven into every experience, conversation,
and challenge we face.

This portfolio captures my journey throughout the


internship. Inside, you'll find lesson plans, student
assessments, feedback from my cooperating teachers, and
personal reflections. But more than just documents, it's a
reflection of my growth as a future educator. Putting this
together helped me think critically about my teaching
choices, philosophy, and recognize areas where I can
improve, and understand the kind of teacher I aspire to be.

Embracing Dewey's philosophy, I see teaching and learning


as interconnected processes. By fully engaging in this
experience, I aim to nurture not only my students' minds but
also my own, creating a dynamic environment where
education truly becomes life itself.
