1. Argumentative Essay còn được gọi là Opinion hoặc Agree/Disagree Essay. Dạng này sẽ đưa ra ý kiến cá nhân về các
topic quen thuộc trong xã hội và đưa ra những dạng câu hỏi như:
• Do you agree or disagree?
• To what extent do you agree or disagree?
• Is this a positive or negative development?
Some people think that all teenagers should be required to do unpaid work in their free time to help the local
community. They believe this would benefit both the individual teenager and society as a whole.

Dạng 2: Discussion Essay
Dạng bài này đưa ra hai quan điểm và yêu cầu bạn phải phân tích cả hai quan điểm, bao gồm cả quan điểm
cá nhân. Hãy lập từng đoạn Body riêng biệt cho từng quan điểm. Phần Conclusion (Kết bài) sẽ là nơi bạn
trình bày ý kiến riêng của bản thân mình. Bạn cũng có thể nêu quan điểm cá nhân ngay trong phần
Introduction (mở bài).

Dạng 3: Advantages and Disadvantages Essay
Với dạng bài này, rất dễ nhận dạng khi câu hỏi được đưa ra khá rõ ràng: “What are the advantages and
disadvantages of …?”

Dạng 4: Causes and Effects/Causes and Solutions/Problems and Solutions Essay
Đây được xem là một dạng bài dễ nhất trong phần IELTS Writing Task 2. Đề bài thường sẽ đưa ra một hiện
tượng, yêu cầu bạn giải thích nguyên nhân, và những yếu tố tác động lên nó. Đôi khi sẽ có những vấn đề và
giải pháp cho hiện tượng được nêu ra. Thông thường, đề thi thật sẽ chỉ yêu cầu bạn phân tích Causes &
Solutions, Causes & Effects, hoặc Problems & Solutions.

Dạng 5: Two-Part Question Essay
Đây là xu hướng mới khi ra đề cho phần thi IELTS Writing Task 2 hiện nay. Với đề bài này, bạn sẽ có 2 câu
hỏi, và phải lần lượt trả lời hai câu hỏi. Dạng đề này khi mới đọc có nhiều bạn sẽ thấy khá khó, tuy nhiên,
nếu đọc kĩ sẽ thấy khá dễ viết và dễ dàng có nhiều ý tưởng cho phần trả lời.

à It is widely held that access to shelter fullfills the fundamental human right. Thus, no – cost housing policy should
be launched for those who are unable to afford it. From my point of view, I totally agree with this
