How long do we keep doing this?

All day everyday

Pursuing superficial goals

Perpetually chasing something.

Yet we don’t see it like that, we call it living.

Bachelors and bachelorettes,

Independent men and women

Refuse to get distracted.

Till they meet that one someone

Here we are, watching them say their vows.

Denying the chance of a lack of love between them.

And yet the statistic remains hanging in the air.

Yielding to their love, it becomes a roulette.

Unfazed by their chances of failure

Neither one gives up

And it will work out.

Time does not corrode their will.

Here they are once again, standing together.

I’m glad that you aren't just another stranger.
