operators in China.

The given bar chart compared the figures of individuals purchasing services of
three
different mobile platform providers in China, namely China Mobile, China

Unicorn, China Telecom in 14 consecutive years, initiating in 2000.

It is noticeable that the number of users of both China Mobile and China Telecom

rose each year, leading to an indispensable rise in total of subscriber figures to

three Chinese network platforms over the period in question. The purchaser
number of China Mobile experienced an upward trend and maintained at least

twice as high as the other two providers in almost every year.

In 2000, the overwhelming majority of mobile service users was made up by China

Mobile, around 700 million, while for China Unicorn and China Telecom, those

just comprised an extremely small figure, about 200 and 100 millions of people,

respectively. After that, the former increased steadily in the following eight years,

reaching under 800 million in 2008. Eventually, the number of China Mobile’s

purchasers reached a peak at closely 950 million. The latter which is the number of

individuals using mobile network service of China Telecom witnessed the same

trend as the former, shotting up above 300 million, making three time as high as

the first in 2000.

By contrast, the user number of China Unicorn went on dropping slightly to nearly

a third of the former in the last year, which also made the gap between the two

figures of China Unicorn and China Telecom had been narrowed, with both being

equal at over 300 million at the end of the period shown.
