Feature Filtering and Highlighting in BOL-Tree result lists

SAP note 2206331 provides the new feature IU_BOL_TREE_RES_FLTR_HLGHT (BOL Tree: Filtering and Highlighting in Search Result Lists,),
which you can use to influence the behaviour of the result list. First implement the corrections from SAP note 2210933 in your system,
including all required SAP Notes.
You can use transaction CRM_ISU_FEATURE to activate the new function using feature activation for the utilities industry. For more
information about the activation, see SAP Note 2206334.
As for profile IUIC_SL5, this is a special profile implementation. Here the list of premises is always reduced to the confirmed one. It is hard-
coded as such and normally this profile is used for the technical data view on the business partner overview page. So in this case the filter will
not be effective here.

If you use profile IUICMD_TO2 and the filter than apply SAP note 2270757 .
Filter icon is displayed although no business partner is confirmed. Apply SAP note 2286412.

Implement note 2243864 which should fix the filter icon being displayed when it should not be.

Feature BOL-Tree Preview overlay

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 7
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
SAP note 2422307 provides the new function that you can use to display enhanced information about objects in the business object layer
(BOL) tree using a preview overlay. The preview overlay corresponds to the function already provided in SAP Note 2314755 for the recent
items in the navigation bar. The steps required to maintain the contents of the preview overlay for the BOL tree also correspond to those for
the recent items. The procedure is described in SAP Note 2314755 or its attached documentation described.

After you implement this SAP Note, you can use the function activation for the utilities industry (SAP Note 2206334) to activate the new
feature IU_BOL_TREE_PREVIEW_OVERLAY. This creates an additional setting in Customizing for the BOL tree (transaction CRM_ISU_TREE).
With this setting, you can individually specify whether the preview overlay should be used for each column of a BOL tree profile.

To do this, select your required profile in BOL tree Customizing and switch to the dependent maintenance view "Definition of Columns". After
you activate the function IU_BOL_TREE_PREVIEW_OVERLAY, this view contains an additional "Preview" checkbox with which you can define
whether the preview overlay should be activated for the cells in each individual column of the BOL tree profile. If you activate this function for a
column, the system displays an overlay over the cell content that shows the attributes defined for the relevant UI object type (SAP Note
2314755) when you move the mouse over the cell.

Transaction CRM_ISU_FEATURE can be used to activate the new function IU_BOL_TREE_PREVIEW_OVERLAY.

Feature Sorting Search Results in the Object Workbench

SAP note 2419457 provides the new function to sorting of search results for the Object Workbench. Customizing for the new sorting
functionality has been added to the existing Object Workbench Customizing.
Now it is possible to sort search results within the Object Workbench. For every search function, it is possible to decide whether the results
should be sorted or not. The sort can be done by an attribute value of the result object, or by an attribute value of a related object.
If there are more than 100 search results, sorting will not occur due to performance reasons.
Activate ISU feature IU_OBJ_WB_SEARCH_RES_SORT using transaction CRM_ISU_FEATURE to enable the sorting functionality as per SAP
Note 2206334.

Symptom

The new feature preview overlay in the Bol tree is activated. The national special charakters within the Bol tree overlay do not display correctly.

For example " čeština" is displayed with "#e#tina".

Solution

Apply the following notes:

2438906 - PART 1 - Special characters in Recent Items preview overlay do not display correctly

2447361 - PART 2 - Special characters in Recent Items preview overlay do not display correctly

Customer made configuration is not displayed

Symptom

For the premise overview, with Z-profile ZIUIC_SL3, the system does not want to take over custom made configuration for the object with
presentation ID PREM. The premise HOUSE_NUM2.is not shown when opening the premise overview.

Solution

Delete the flag on "Re-render UI tree cell" in profil ZIUIC_SL3 for node ID PREM.. Than the house_num2 should be displayed. It can also delete
the exit class CL_CRM_IU_BT_SL3_ENH here and define an own class to display the attributes for the premise

Device is not displayed in profile IUICMD_BP

Symptom
The device is not displayed in the result list of the business partner masta data profile IUICMD_BP.

Solution

The devices are not displayed since we read in our SAP standard customizing in profile IUICMD_BP the devices indirectly via device location
for the point of delivery.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 11
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Define a device location for the device.

If no device locations are used, check the following proposal:

Instead of the IsuDeviceLocation (node IsuInstallation IUMDDET_DL ) could be inserted here (for example, as a new node ZUMDDET_IN ). The
suitable relationship from the point of delivery and from the IsuInstallation PODIsuInstallationRel to IsuDevice would be the
relation IsuInstallationDeviceRel .

Model:

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 12
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

The result would be as follows:

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 13
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Here node IUMDDET_DL was removed. The new hidden node ZUMDDET_IN was inserted below the POD node IUMDDET_PD using the
relation PODIsuInstallationRel.

For the node IUMDDET_DV the parent node has been changed to ZUMDDET_IN and the relation IsuInstallationDeviceRel is entered.

Now the devices should be displayed under node PointOfDelivery.

Premises are not displayed in the result list

Symptom

The premises automatically filtered using the search request results.

Solution

If a business partner is confirmed and an active contract can be found for this business partner the premise will be auto confirmed and
displayed in the result list. If more than one premise exist on this connection object you can select the display of the complete data
environment in the result list (profile IUICMD_TO2). An other option would be to select the connection object in the result list and click on
"More Fields" and navigate to the display of the technical object. Now the profil IUIC_SL5 is used and here all the premises under the
connection object will be displayed. This is our standard behavior.

Or use the new feature function IU_BOL_TREE_RES_FLTR_HLGHT (BOL Tree: Filtering and Highlighting in Search Result Lists.

The Check Cockpit as monitoring tool

As from several customer requested there exists the need to monitor contracts based on different contract end dates and to schedule follow-
up action items for agents or automated contact functions.

Such a need can be achieved in the check cockpit with a customer defined class. The new class shall inherit from class
CL_CRM_ISU_CM_ORDER_CHECK. Method IF_CRM_ISU_CM_CHECK~EXECUTE_CHECK is where you should perform your contract
selection. Contracts eligible for follow-up actions are displayed as issues in the check cockpit. An Issue is created by adding a message linked
to a contract inside method EXECUTE_CHECK. You can use different messages for different follow-up actions to be performed. The follow-up
actions are performed in method IF_CRM_ISU_CM_CHECK~CORRECT. Depending on the issue message
(CL_CRM_ISU_CM=>GET_ISSUE_MSGTEXT_STATIC), you can trigger different actions on the contract, e.g. triggering an alert, sending an
email or notification.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 20
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
Instead of mixing different follow-up actions in one check class on different messages, we recommend one check class per action type. This
allows you to use a generic message across different classes. For example, you can define a message ZMSG001 with text ‘Follow-up &1
required’.

As explained in section "Run the Check Cockpit" the check can be scheduled for execution hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.

Search Logic

Search for Business Partners:

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 22
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
A Business Partner (BP) is confirmed if exactly one BP is found by the search criteria.

Search for Premise:

The link between the BP and Premise is done first over the active contracts/quotations and then over the BP address.
When a BP is identified the system search in the table CRMD_ISUEXTA4 for existing active contracts/quotations.
Based on the active contracts/quotations the respective Point of Delivery (POD) is retrieved, the Premise will be confirmed and the technical
environment for the Premise will be displayed in the result list.
If there was no active contract found for the BP then the system search for Premises with the Business Partner address as "Back Up Search
Logic" and confirms the Premise if one was found.
The same strategy is used if you search for technical objects. If there was no active contract found for the Premise then the system search for
BP with Premise address as "Back Up Search Logic"and confirms the BP if one was found.
New Feature to disable "Back Up Search Logic":
Set user paramter "CRM_IUIC_NO_ADDR_S" to "X" the Premise address will not be used to find a related BP and also the BP Address will not
be used to find related premises.
See notes 2422064 and 2420380.

What are active contracts in query PDBYBP_Active_Query (CL_ECRM_ISU_SI_SEARCH_DETAILS GET_T_OBJS_FOR_ACTIVE_CONTRACT

Active contracts are contracts were the contract end date is higher than the current system date and where the contract start date is
lower than current system date.
Active quotations are quotations for which the requested start date is in the past and the end date is not yet reached.
Not considered were:
Contracts which are ended or contracts with a future contract start date.
For ended contracts the reason is that the contract end date is lower than the current system date.
For future contracts the reason is that there is a time slot between the current system date and the future contract start date.
Cancelled contracts.

Search for contacts which have been move out and also have a future move in:

Note 1989733 provide a new method SEARCH_ACTIVE_CONTRACTS class CL_IUICMD_CUCOMD_IMPL to Auto-Search for move-out
contracts or future contracts.
In this case the method SEARCH_ACTIVE_CONTRACTS gets redefined on project base, the system will search for those kinds of contracts as
well and possibly autoconfirm a Point of Delivery.
See also KBA 1876214 - CRM-IU: During the Identification of a Business Partner no Premise is found

Use Cases:

1. Unconfirm Premise:
A business partner is confirmed and over an active contract the dependent business agreement and premise is confirmed as well. Now
the business agreement and the premise are unconfirmed. Only the business partner is now confirmed. If a premise is searched and
confirmed where a contract (active or non active) is assigned the dependent business agreement is not confirmed.

2. Uconfirm Business Agreement:

A business partner is confirmed that has several business agreements and contracts. Then a business agreement is confirmed , the
system also automatically confirms the technical environment for this. Now the business agreement is unconfirmed. The confirmed
premise will not be unconfirmed automatically because some processes can be executed for this premise already.
Then confirm another business agreement for the confirmed business partner. Note 2200110 provides the basis for aligning the
technical environment within the identification based on the respective confirmed business agreement. The premise need to be
unconfirmed and about the click on the new button "Search Automatically" a new search is executed. If a contract is assigned for the
new business agreement the premise should be confirmed.
In release 7.14 the new button ""Search Automatically" is available by default. In release 7.13 the button need to be activated by
customer enhancement on page framents of [Link] in the component workbench.
Apply note 2452124 to avoid dumps when pressing button "Search Automatically".

Refactoring class CL_IUICOBJS_SEARCHVS_IMPL

The methods of the class CL_IUICOBJS_SEARCHVS_IMPL have constantly been developed over time and, as a result, gradually increased in
length. When customers want to enhance a specific part of the class, they also have to redefine these long classes. Customers have to
manually adapt to all subsequent modifications made by SAP since there is currently no option to let the customers' redefined method inherit
from the original class.
Note 2061703 provide new class CL_IUICOBJS_SEARCHVS2_IMPL.

Free Text Search

Purpose

Gives an overview about the Free Text Search.

Overview
Within the Interaction Center for SAP CRM for Utilities, when identifying a business partner or a premise, you have to be able to quickly search
for a business partner or a premise. With a single search field and suggestion list, you can now enter any information for the business partner
or premise to identify the correct object. The suggestion list is proposed as soon as you have entered a minimum number of characters. You
can also view the business partner or premise information by selecting one of the rows in the suggestion list. In addition, it is possible to use
the NarrowBy function to limit the searched fields to ensure even more accurate results. Right from the suggestion list a business partner or
premise can be confirmed.
FTS is not a word completion tool, it’s a FUZZY search with a required % threshold. If it’s at 70% that means that 7 out of 10 characters must
match or 4 out of 5 since 3 out of 5 is 60%

Whenever a note is create for a UI Fix for the Free Text Search then it would be good precaution to clear the cache of the browser as the
changes might not take effect immediately since the browser caches.
Whenever a note is applied where a change was done within the entreprise search then it’s possible the connectors need to up updated or
deleted and recreated.
To update the connectors run TA: /IWFND/CACHE_CLEANUP in CRM and ERP system and and TA:/IWBEP/CACHE_CLEANUP in CRM
system.
To perform this activity at regular intervals or jobs as scheduled batch is not necessarry.
If no changes are done specifically to the FTS then clearing the cache should not be necessary.

2. The connectors are not be properly generated. See solution described in the KBA note 2231512.

Free Text Search not return correct results

Symptom

After update the support package stack to SAPKU71310 or higher the free text search do not display the correct results.

Solution

Apply note "2205402 - Wrong values in select options table".

After implementation of support package 13 of SAP_GWFND 7.40 the system behavior (still) shows the symptoms described in note
'2205402", apply note "2232883 - Wrong values in select options table"

Apply also SAP note "2256525 -- Incorrect internal length is calculated for properties" in your front end and your back end system.
After having applied this SAP note, you have to clean up the metadata cache on in your front end and your back end system via transactions
/IWFND/CACHE_CLEANUP and /IWBEP/CACHE_CLEANUP.

2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Solution

Add the system alias for service CRM_IU_HSS_SRV in transaction /N/IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE.

Refer to FTS setup guide section "Activate SAP Gateway Service" on how to add it.

Or go to [Link] and follow -> Industries & Solutions-> Utilities-> SAP for Utilities – Product Information-> SAP CRM for
Utilities-> Cookbooks & Guidelines.

See also KBA note 2035971 - CRM-IU: Free Text Search is not shown in the UI

It only works on IE9 and above. If on a Citrix client Enterprise Mode enabled is used, IE will emulate the environment of IE7/IE8 , so the FTS
won't be able to use.

No search result is displayed

Symptom

No search results are displayed.

For example search for business partner name by general:

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 32
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Busines partners with name "LANNISTER" exist in the search table BUTADRSEARCH.

Solution
The reason that no results are displayed is because of the provided customizing values for the Free Text Search.

Here are the customizing settings for the search object PARTNER:

The default search has fuzzy percentage of 70% and this profil has 90%. What does this mean? It means that need at least 90% of the word
to be correct to get results, in addition at least 4 letters are required.

The percentage in the fuzzy search for example 90%, means that a field in the table needs to match 90% of the criteria entered in the search
field.

In this example a search with "LANNESTER" or "LANNISTERE" find the correct business partners with name "LANNISTER" .

Which such a high fuzzy percentage than the results will be really rare:

3 out of 4 letters = 75%

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 33
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
4 out of 5 letters = 80%

9 out of 10 letters = 90%

In this example make a typo or miss a letter at 10 letters to get 90%. This fuzzy score is almost like an exact search.

Decrease the fuzzy percentage for the search object business partner in the Free Text Search profil.

Premise search by address no results

Symptom
Search in the Free Text Search for premises by address and no search results are displayed.

Solution

Our premise search model CRM_IU_HSS_PREMISE in Entreprise Search has a restriction to search only technical objects which belong to ISU
address group called "ISUB". This ensures that we don’t search for any Technical Object (Installed Base) but only the ones that belong to ISU
objects and not all possible Technical Objects.

Check if the premise was created by using the address group "IB01" in table ADRC.

If the premise address was created with address group "IB01" in table ADRC we recommend to activate the new address groups for
connection object "ISUA" and premise/POD "ISUB".

The address groups needs to be activate with report ECRM_ISU_FILL_TO_INDEX.

See also note 1585870 - ICWC: Technical objects not visible in Web UI.

Quick view not displayed in Free Text Search

Symptom

A) Quick view for premise is empty

B) Quick view is empty after copying OData services.

C) Quick view not display for business partner and premise

D) Customer Quick view for premise not displayed.

Solution

A) Check that you have BBPCRM 713, SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SP06, Activate the Business Function CRM_UT_HANA_SCH_4.
Check also the solution in the Wiki page: Free Text Search not return correct results.

B) Apply note 2333442.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 34
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
C) The BADI CRM_IU_HSS_EXT_DATA_PROVIDER is implemented. In one of the enhancement of ZUT_GET_ADD_PARNER_INFO or
ZUT_READ_ADD_PREM_INFO an
error message is raised. Correct the BADI implementation.

D) Define the description in the same language as the user will use to login the WebIC. Configure the description for the customers own Quick
view set ID
( table CRMV_ISU_HSS_QS field DESCRIPTION) in the same language which is used in the free text search.

Quick view shows no Point of Delivery information

Symptom

In the quick view for the technical objects no data is displayed for the Point of Delivery (PoD) and device.

Solution
1. Run Report: ECRM_ISU_FILL_TO_INDEX and go through steps in note 15815870 .
2. If the data not displayed load the PoD by request load ( TA: R3AR4) to CRM.

Quick view shows not the customer specific label

Symptom
A customer specific label was renamed in the quick view by implementation of BADI CRM_IU_HSS_EXT_ODATA method
IF_CRM_IU_HSS_EXT_ODATA ENHANCE_MODEL_ENTITY .
For example the description of “Default Address” was changed to “Standard Address”, but still shows the value of “Default Address” on the
quick view screen.

Solution

Close the browser and run transaction /IWBEP/CACHE_CLEANUP. Than login again the customer label should appear correctly on the Free
Text quick view screen.

Here all the "NarrowBy" options are displayed.

Solution

If you want to have less narrow by (for example, business partner), what you have to do is in customizing:

- Data Providers

Copy the data provider PARTNER_DATA_PROV to Z_PARTNER_DATA_PROV

Remove unused narrow by under Z_ PARTNER_DATA_PROV

- OData Services

Copy OData service PARTNER_ODATA_SRV to Z_ PARTNER_ODATA_SRV

Change the data provider ID (of OData service Z_PARTNER_ODATA_SRV) to Z_PARTNER_DATA_PROV

- Search Objects

Identification: Common problems in CRM

Country is predefined in the identification

Symptom

An upgrade to CRM 7.0 EhP3 was done. In the Identification for the Business Partner search the field country is prefilled.

Image/data in this document are from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely
coincidental.

Solution
The country is preassign using the SET/GET parameter LND in the transaction SU01.

If no country is assigned to the user parameter "LND", the country is predefined about the address of the company which is assigned to the
user in transaction SU01.

Because the most of customer wants to predefine the country when searching for business partners and technical objects the logic to set the
country will not be changed in the SAP standard.

In customer specific processes the country should no be predefine in business partner search. In this case two options are possible

A) Use BADI CRM_IUICMD_BADI

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 39
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
B) Enhance the CL_IUICMD_SEARCHACCOUNT_IMPL (Nonsplitscreen) or CL_IUICOBJS_BUILHEADERSE0_IMPL
(Splitscreen)DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT. Here define own logic to call the 'ADDR_DEFAULT_SENDER_COUNTRY' where the country is
read from company address assigned to the user.

Premise by address search fields not displayed

Symptom

Issue 1:

Search for Premise by "Premise by Address" (PREBYADDR1). On confirming a business partner, Premise is auto confirmed. Unconfirm the
confirmed Premise and do a new search, the search option defaults to "PoD by Business Partner (Active Orders)" (TO_PODBYBUPA2).

OR:
No premise is found and then a search is exceuted for a business partner and it is confirmed. The search option defaults to "PoD by Business
Partner" (TO_PODBYBUPA2).

OR:
When start session search business partner by "Business Partner by Premise" (BUIL3) and a business partner and premise is confirmed. Then
unconfirm the premise and search for a new premise the search option defaults to "PoD by Business Partner (Active Orders)"
(TO_PODBYBUPA2).

Issue 2:

If this search option "PoD by Business Partner (ActiveOrders)" (TO_PODBYBUPA2) is not available in the workbench profile wrong
search fields are displayed:

Image/data in this document are from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely
coincidental.

Solution

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 40
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
This is our SAP standard logic for the case of fallback. This means the search is executed in the backround. The used search is shown in the
WebUI as displayed in the screenshot above.
If a business partner is confirmed and already a confirmed premise is unconfirm, the new premise search defaults to search option "PoD by
Business Partner (ActiveOrders)". The search "PoD by Business Partner (Active Orders)" is used when the business partner is confirmed to
retrieve over an active contract the assigned premise.

To solve the issues assign the search function TO_PODBYBUPA2 to the customer workbench profile. See also KBA note 1884684 and
2360574.

Otherwise enhance UI component IUICOBJS CL_IUICOBJS_SEARCHVS_IMPL->IF_CRM_IC_EVENT_LISTENER~HANDLE_EVENT( ).Here

exchange the fallback 'TO_PODBYBUPA2' with the customer one.

Wrong BOL Tree Profile used in the Search

Symptom

Standard BOL Tree Profile is used for the search instead of a custom own one.

Initially for a search like "Find Business Agreement" the custom defined BOL Tree profile is shown.

But when a business agreement is searched in the result set the standard BOL Tree profile is shown.

Solution
Here in the customizing under transaction crm_isu_img → Settings for User Interfaces → Settings for Object Workbench → Define Object
Workbench Profiles select the search.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 41
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

For the search the custom own profile needs to be maintained, which is then used for the search results.

Premise Overview: Common Problems

Device information not displayed in consumption table

Symptom

The device information are not displayed in the consumption table when selecting contract node in the Premise Overview tree.

Solution
The consumption is determined in the corresponding ERP system by reading at first all billing documents belonging to a contract.
Then it is checked if a corresponding entry exist in table DBERCHV. If that's the case this entry is taken to provide the information about the
consumption.
As table DBERCHV contains aggregated data of a billing period, detailed information for i.e. about the device are not available.

This logic of consumption determination is part of the default implementation for BAdI ISU_PROVIDE_BILLED_CONSUMPT (method
IF_EX_ISU_BILLED_CONSUMPT~GET_BILLED_CONSUMPTION).
If it is wished to get other / more detailed information about the consumption a customer own implementation of this BAdI can be applied.

Related KBA's

No data displayed in the premise overview

Symptom
No data displayed in the premise overview.

Solution
The wrong workbench profile, for example ZIUICMD_BP is assign to the role using the function profile IUICOBJ.

It is not possible to use a workbench profile which has the business partner as root object. A premise related workbench profile is needed.

Use our standard or a copy of workbenchprofils IUIC_TDDEV which is assigned to the profile. IUIC_SL2.

It is also possible to use IUIC_SL5 with workbenchprofil IUIC_PR_OVW_UTIL_IC which is available with CRM 7.0 EhP3.

Premise Overview - Exception on navigate to device link

Symptom

Click on the premise overview work center and select the device context node and select device number. An exception with message
"Dereferencing of the NULL reference" is raised.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 49
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Solution
Add the "MeterStatusVS" assignment block to the customer view configuration of IUICDED/DeviceDetailsOV.

Premise overview consumption graph is not opening due to Adobe Flash EoL

Symptom

Display consumption graph and activity in premise overview is not opening in business role UTIL_IC or a copy of them.

As announced by Adobe, the update and distribution of the Flash Player was stopped at the end of 2020. Microsoft, Google, and Mozilla have
announced to stop the support of Adobe Flash end of 2020 as well.
Here see also the blogs "Flash & The Future of Interactive Content" and "How to keep Enterprise Flash Applications accessible in 2021"

Solution
For CRM 7.0 EHP4 apply note 2983030 to switch to UI5 based graphs.
Implement also notes 3015141 and 3031050.

See also the note 2885192.

Ensure that the SICF service node CRM_IU_UI5_CHRT is active under: /sap/public/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/ in TA: SICF.

Note: Our new UI5 graph doesn't support IE since Microsoft will end support for IE in Aug. 2021. Use other browsers instead.

Add customer fields to Business Agreement

Purpose
The purpose of this page is to describe how to add customer fields to business agreement.

Overview
The guide "How to Add Further Fields to Business Agreements" describes how to add further fields to Business Agreement (German version
can be found here).

General
The structures FKKVKP and FKKVKP_S_DI contains several special CI_* includes intended for customer changes where own fields can be
enhanced.
But there are strict rules driving to which include have to place a new field corresponding to the data type:

a) structure FKKVKP & include CI_FKKVKP - intended ONLY for char fields!
b) structure FKKVKP & include CI_FKKVKP2 - intended ONLY for non-char fields
c) structure FKKVKP_S_DI & include CI_FKKVKP - intended ONLY for char fields shared with a)
d) structure FKKVKP_S_DI & include CI_FKKVKP2_DI - intended ONLY for character equivalents(!!) of non-char fields in b)

Therefore adjust own customer include CI_FKKVKP according to the named rules to prevent errors.

CRM 7.0 / IS-U: adding custom fields to Business agreement for replication

Common Problems
Symptom

Custom fields added in CRMM_BUAG_H and/or CRMM_BABR_H are not replicated in ISU.

The customer fields are missing in the ERP structure BAPI_TE_FKKVKP or BAPI_TE_FKKVK.

Or

The field is missing in the CRM and also ERP structures CRMT_BUAGS_EI_SPEC_DATA and CRMT_BUAGS_EI_SPEC_DATA_X.

Solution

Add the customer fields in the ERP structure BAPI_TE_FKKVKP or BAPI_TE_FKKVK

This fields can be filled using the parameter EXTENSIONIN (Reference Structure for BAPI Parameters ExtensionIn/Extension).

You may read the SAPHelp "Actions by the BAPI Developer" and "Actions by the Customer"

Table extension BAPI_TE_FKKVK is supported for table FKKVK and BAPI_TE_FKKVKP is supported for table FKKVKP."

You may append these customer fields in structure BAPI_TE_FKKVK or BAPI_TE_FKKVKP via a customer append structure.

Afterwards you may use the BAPI Parameters ExtensionIn to fill it.

Check that the correction of the note 1759289 is applied.

Or

Add the customer fields to the CRM and also ERP structures CRMT_BUAGS_EI_SPEC_DATA and CRMT_BUAGS_EI_SPEC_DATA_X.

Business Agreement in Contract and Quotation process

Purpose

The purpose of this page is to describe how to handle business agreements in the contract and quotation processes.

Overview

BUAG_MAIN BDOC error COM_PMNTTRMS 001

Symptom
A Business agreement is replicated from ERP to CRM and here a BDOC error for BUAG_MAIN is raised. The error message
is COM_PMNTTRMS001 "Terms of payment 0003 not available".

The payment term is missing in the CRM customizing table CRMC_PMNTTRMS:

Solution

For the mapping of the payment terms check also the settings in the ERP table TFK_MAP_ZAHLKOND or TFSC_MAP_ZAHLKD (Application
component FI-CAX).

BUAG_MAIN BDOC error R11 123

Symptom

A Business agreement is replicated from ERP to CRM and here a BDOC error for BUAG_MAIN is raised. The error message is R11 123 "Specify
at least one number for the business partner".

Solution
The business partner assigned to contract account or the partner functions for example "Alternative Invoice Recipient" or "Alternative
dunning recipient" is not correct updated on the CRM system.

Load the business partner assigned to the contract account with CRM transaction BUPA_SEND to CRM and update for example the address
data.

Then restart the error BDOC BUAG_MAIN in transaction SMW01.

Business Agreement creates twices in contract process

Symptom
A business partner without business agreement is confirmed. Then a new contrat is created. Within the view "Account and Payment Data" a
new business agreement will be created automatically if no business agremeent exist on the confirmed business partner. Then the user click
on button "New Business Agreement" and a second new business agreement is created. But no second one sould be created.

Solution
This is customizing issue. There is duplicate check flag in customizing which need to set if no new BUAG should be created. Please perform
the following steps to change the customizing:

Run SPRO:Select Customer Relationship Management->Master Data->Business Partner->Business Agreement->Creation of Business

Agreement->Allocate Business Agreement Class

For Channel ICW, Please check the "duplic." flag for your defined business agreement class . Please check that flag and test the issue again.
You should not get any new BUAG created if there is already new BUAG exist.

Business Agreement not confirmed and no changes saved

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 58
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Symptom
1. Business agreement is not auto confirmed even if there is only a single buag assigned to the business partner.
2. A selected business agreement is changed and the fields for example description or reference ID are not saved.

Solution
The issue was observed in system with a very low support package level. Here first ensure that the notes 1505636, 1809983 and 1995587 are
applied so the relation BuilBuAgRelis properly used.

Then use transaction SM34 and check whether in the view cluster CRMVC_BUIL_CUST for object buag the object type “Access Object” is
maintained.

CRM Business partner address not updated on contract account in IS-U

Symptom
A future dated move-in is created in the Web-IC and the premise address was taken over as new business partner standard address. This
address is not updated on the contract account address.

Solution
Update the planned address changes to the contract account with the report BUSPCDACT.
We recommend to run this report for the application object FICA as background job every day in your system .
Than the system will update automatically the new move-in business partner standard address into the contract account.
To check if a future dated address is assigned to the contract account call transaction CAA3. Insert the move-in date then displayed the F4-
help on the address field and here you should see the new business partner address.

Related Notes/KBA's
Note 1879727 - Address not updated properly during move in of contract account, if multiple application servers are involved
Note 1228662 - Upgrade: Time dependency business partner, conversion
After the upgrade, the system uses the report BUSPCDACT now only to activate planned changes to the contract account

Delete Business Agreement in CRM

Symptom

In CRM, obsolete business agreements which are not exists in the ERP system should be deleted.
No report exists to delete business agreements.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 59
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Solution

There is an option to archive the business agreements. Here set the deletion flag in table CRMM_BUAG for the respective buag.
With the notes 1485570 and 1477485 the delete flag was introduced also on UI level to prevent the usage of those business agrements in
the contract management on crm side.
When the deletion flag is set on database level the business agreement will be deleted in the archiving run for the business partner. This
means that the business agreement is deleted when the business partner is archived.

In general we do not recommend to delete business agreements.

Field BUAG_ID_LEGACY not editable on business agreement

Symptom
1. The business agreement field BUAG_ID_LEGACY is not editable in view BUAG_DETAIL/BuAgMoreFields in CRM.
or
2. Not able to change SAP standard field BUAG_ID_LEGACY on CRM side as here the error message "Changing the BA number in legacy
system is only allowed in SAP ERP" is shown
(message class CRM_BUPA_FRG0130 number 238).

Solution

The edit of field buag_id_legacy on business agreement views is not supported in the WebUI
Therefore it is not recommend to change the values in the field BUAG_ID_LEGACY.

A brief explanation why Contract Account's DI coding doesn't support such reinitialization of VKONA:

VKONA field is a part of DI header structure FKKVK_DI_HDRINIT. The 'key' fields there don't support NO-DATA indicator like the fields
in further data DI-includes (i.e. FKKVK_S_DI, FKKVKP_S_DI, FKKVKLOCK_S_DI, etc.). Please note that it's impossible to distinguish
whether SPACE is valid value to be updated or if it just means "we don't take care about this field this time" without the functionality of
NO-DATA indicator.
This is the reason why Contract Account coding had to accept this 'small' obstacle that SPACE in VKONA isn't the valid value to be
updated.
Be aware that the additional change of FKKVK_DI_HDRINIT-VKONA meaning and supporting NO-DATA indicator inside isn't also
possible.
This would cause the considerable (and wrong) change of functionality for most of current customers that weren't used to fill VKONA
during Direct Input at all. If they would leave VKONA empty like before it would be erased from the database.

Change or reinitialize VKONA field manually in the dialog transaction CAA2 if necessary.

To replicate a reference number on business agreement the field REF_NUMBER on view BUAG_DETAIL can be used. This field will me mapped
to the SAP ERP standard field reference number EXVKO in table FKKVKP.

Filter based on contract account category is not working

Symptom
In CRM, set up filter in R3AC1 on BUAG_MAIN object on contract account category ( FKVVK-VKTYP).
Create contract account in ISU transacation CAA1 with contract account category where a filter is set.
Contract account is replicated to CRM even though filter is created.

Solution
Check the solution in the note 1974614 - Filter for contract accound replication not working for field VKTYP.

There are a couple of known performance issue about the business agreement in the BOL tree or in the search.
We recommend to implement them all to avoid the known issues especially for large data constructs with a huge amount of business
agreements.
A standard ST12 trace will reveal where the performance issue arise.
Here see the KBA 2436955 - How to collect and analyze traces using ST12 (single transaction analysis).

Solution

Collective Bill Business Agreement

Purpose
Gives an overview about the Collective Bill Business Agreement.

Overview
To create a collective bill, meaning that individual documents for a collective bill posting document (CB document) are combined to be
processed collectively (for example during bill creation or payment), create a collective bill business agreement to which you assign specfic
business agreements. This collective bill business agreement is also replicated to the ERP System with the referencing business agreements
for the contract account master that have been assigned.

Prerequisites
Installation of SAP CRM (CRM for Utilities) 7.0 EHP2 or higher
Installation of SAP ERP 6.0 EhP6 or higher
Activation of switch CRM: CRM_COLL_BUAG and ERP:FICA_EHP6_COLL_BUAG

Data Comparision Tool (DIMA)

Purpose

The aim is to compare the Business Agreements between CRM and ERP to ensure first that all objects are loaded and second that all
transferred fields are consistent.

There are two compare types available in the Data Integrity Manager: header compare and detail compare. A header compare checks if an
object instance exists in both databases. A detail compare compares all data of an object instance found in both databases.

In a second step data inconsistencies can be repaired.

Customizing on CRM side

Ensure that table SDIMABASIC is filled with the following information:

DIMA OBJECT BUAG_MAIN

OBJNAME BUAG_MAIN
LOAD SYS SMOF_ERPSITE
REL SBDOC BUAG_MAIN
CMP HEAD X
CMP DET X
SIZE HEAD 100
SIZE DET 100
SYS REL
LOAD TOCRM X
DEL INCRM
LOAD TOSYS X
DEL INSYS
CLASS CL_BUAG_DIMA_MAIN

Feature CRM_BUAG_ISU_BB_PROCEDURE

Purpose
Gives an overview about this new feature.

Overview
It is now allowed to maintain a different Budget Billing Plan procedure in Business Agreements.

Prerequisites
This feature is only valid for Utilities Industry and it is delivered via Support Package only.

This feature exists since versions CRM EHP4 SP01 and CRM EHP3 SP11.

Only for CRM EHP4 SP01, the report ECRM_ISU_KZABSVER_TO_ACT_BBP is delivered via SAP notes 2239616 & 2243757.
To enhance the ERP structure CRMT_BUAGS_EI_SPEC_DATA2 apply note 2234334 and the manual steps from note 2590275.

Activation
To be able to use this feature, you have to first to run report ECRM_ISU_KZABSVER_TO_ACT_BBP in CRM and then to activate switch
CRM_BUAG_ISU_BB_PROCEDURE in TA: SFW5.
Read documentation related to this report, provided with note 2239616.
If the exeption CALL_FUNCTION_REMOTE_ERROR is raised apply note 2393418.

Activate the feature CRM_BUAG_ISU_BB_PROCEDURE in the Utilities Features tool TA:. CRM_ISU_FEATURE.

Apply note 2234334, 2243757 and the manual steps from note 2590275 in the ERP system.

Possible business scenario

A utility company normally bills for its services at the end of a supply period, for example, during annual
consumption billing. Throughout the current period, it therefore charges budget billing amounts instead of the actual amount owed, in order to
remain solvent. You define the dates and the amount of the budget billing amounts in the budget billing plan. The budget billing plan forms the
basis for the increase in the budget billing amount.

You can use several budget billing procedures. Each of these have different ways of determining budget billing dates and amounts, managing
budget billing data and posting procedures.

Statistical budget billing procedure

Partial bill procedure
Payment plan procedure
Payment scheme

Please note: this new feature is available for changing Budget Billing Procedure 0 to any other valid Budget billing Procedure. Existing
limitations for changes of Budget Billing procedures on Contract Account within ERP IS-U are the same limitations for changes of BBP in CRM
Business agreement.

BRF plus for Utilities

How to use BRFplus system function IU_BRF_EXEC_TIMESTAMP_ADJUST, an example

With this Document we will show you the steps needed to use the BRFplus Function introduced with note2156070

Your are in a situation where you have created a BRFplus function assigned it to a product and released this version. After that you have seen
that the BRFplus function has an failure. If you now correct this failure, it will not work for the released version of that product only for later
version. With this note and the BRFplus function introduced with it, you have the possibility to run a product with a later version.

Lets go through the steps needed.

1. Correct the wrong BRFplus function which is already assigned to a released product version

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 70
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
2. Open BRFplus workbench by entering transaction brfplus and search for function IU_BRF_EXEC_TIMESTAMP_ADJUST

3. If you have already created a own ruleset, you can use this one.

4. To create a new ruleset, you need a new BRFplus application

Therefore please go to the menu "Workbench" and "Create Application".

Assign a name and decide whether you only need a local copy or you want to transport it to an other system

5. Go inside of the new application to "Details" and here to "Default Settings". On this tab you need to activate the Versioning Mode and to
check the flag "Numeric Comparison for NUMC fields".
This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 71
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

6. Now go back to the assigned rulesets and open the ruleset IU_BRF_EXEC_TS_ADJUST_TEMPLATE

Now make a copy of that ruleset using the menu "more" and here "Copy".

Select your own application on the shown pop up and click "apply".

On the following pop up assign a new name and make sure the flag at "Include Referenced Objects" is NOT set.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 72
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

7. Activate the new Ruleset.

To do this you need to open the Ruleset Header on the Deteil Screen and set the flag Enabled, after this click the "Activate" Button from
the Toolbar.

8. After the activation you can go to the rule means to the decision table

After you have insert a new row, you can fill out the decision table by selecting each entry.

This row means that the function assigned to the product (first column) runs in the version which was actual at the time shown in the
column "Executing Timestamp". If you want to use this rule for every product in your system, you can leave the "Product ID" and
"Product Version" blanc.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 73
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

If you want to run your function always with the newest version, you need to use a time stamp within the future like you see in the
following picture

Product Transport

Transporting Utilities Products

Product Transport: Common Issues

The original version is not filled in target system when execute function 'update assigned
products'

Symptom

When transport products from a source system to a target system using the standard 'Transport' button from the product's overview page,
the original version is always filled in the target system. But when transport new version of a product module and afterwards 'update assigned
products' by clicking on the respective button in the product module's view a new version of the assigned product is automatically created. In
that new product's version, the original version is not filled anymore.

Steps:

1. Create product and product module in source system.

Product: Z_TRANSPORT_SP Version 001
Product Module: Z_TRANSPORT_PM1 Version 001
2. Assign product module to product.
Create a new version for product Z_TRANSPORT_SP -> Version 002

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 74
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

3. Transport product Z_ TRANSPORT_SP to the target system.

(before it is necessary to transport the assigned product module Z_TRANSPORT_PM1)
4. Check the product Z_ TRANSPORT_SP in the target system.
→ Field ‘Original System/Version’ is filled

5. Create a new version for the product module Z_TRANSPORT_PM1- Version 002 in the source system.
6. Then press on ‘Update Assigned Products’.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 75
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

7. Transport this new modules version to target system.

The assigned products are not updated, only the product module was transported.
8. ‘Update assigned Products’ in the target system.
9. Check product Z_TRANSPORT_SP.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 76
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

-> A new product version is created, original version is not filled, because the new version was created in the target system
automatically by the ’Update Assigned Product’ function

Solution
Different system behavior when transport products after using the ‘Update Assigned Product’ function separately to the target system

1. New version of product module Z_TRANSPORT_PM1 created in source system.

2. ’Update Assigned Product’ function raised the version number for product Z_TRANSPORT_SP
3. Transport the new version of product Z_TRANSPORT_PM1 to the target system
This new version belongs to the current version in source system.
4. Transport the new version of product Z_TRANSPORT_SP to the target system.
This new version also belongs to the current version in source system.

When after transport a new version of a product module after that the 'update assigned products' function is triggered by clicking on the
respective button, the product is automatically identified as changed in target system and doesn't belongs longer to the version in the source
system. So the connection between the both systems in the product is lost which is correct.

Following procedure for this process is suggested:

- New version of product module is created in the source system.
- Then update assigned products by clicking on the respective button in the source system.
- Transport the new product module version to the target system -> new version xxx which belongs to version yyy in source system.
- Then transport new saleable product version to target system -> new version xxx which belongs to version yyy in source system.

The system doesnt realize the transport of the 'update his assigned products' function. So the transport needs to execute seperatly after
using this function in the source system.

Product Version in Contract and Quotation Management

This article will give information about the version handling of products in Contract and Quotation Management.

1.) A contract should be created out of an existing quotation

The Quotation was created with product PRD in version 01. In the meantime, the product PRD got a new version 02.
The new contract gets the product PRD in version 01, since customer expect to have the same conditions within the contract as offered
within the quotation.

QUOTATION → CONTRACT
Product PRD (01) → Product PRD (01)

2.) A quotation should be created out of an existing contract

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 77
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
The quotation exist with product PRD in version 01 and the product PRD exist now in version 02.
The new quotation gets the product in the actual version 02, since customer expect to get new conditions offered instead of the existing
conditions of the contract.

CONTRACT → QUOTATION
PRODUCT PRD (01) → PRODUCT PRD (02)

3.) A contract should be changed by using correct contract

If the following steps are done the new version of a product is used:
Remove the product and start a roundtrip by pressing "enter" (system makes a roundtrip when the product field is empty).
Insert the product again → the newest version is used now.

PRODUCT PRD (01) → Roundtrip → PRODUCT PRD (02)

When no roundtrip was raised the product stais in his version.

This means when the product is just removed and inserted immediately again, nothing will change.

PRODUCT PRD (01) → no Roundtrip → PRODUCT PRD (01)

4.) A product change is done and the same product is used again
If the following steps are done the new version of a product is used:
Remove the product and start a roundtrip by pressing "enter" (system makes a roundtrip when the product field is
empty).
Insert the product again → the newest version is used now.

PRODUCT PRD (01) → Roundtrip → PRODUCT PRD (02)

When no roundtrip was raised the product stays in his version.

PRODUCT PRD (01) → no Roundtrip → PRODUCT PRD (01)

Recommendation: For utilities products (like electricity, gas,) SAP strongly recommends to
use PMU instead of PME
With CRM 7.0 EhP3 SAP developed a very powerful tool called the Product Modeling for Utilities (PMU).

The PMU provides you with a framework that integrates numerous new functions like the configuration, price object, status- and version
management, product transport, different usages, etc. in one UI.

With the fully and seamlessly integrated BRFplus framework you have a modern and open rule engine at hand where you can implement your
own logic according to your business needs without any modification.

This also means that with CRM 7.0 EhP3 the ‘classical’ Product Modeling Engine (PME) should be only used for the non-utilities products like
materials!

Of course the IPC is still supported also for utilities products (like electricity, gas, …) and can be maintained using the PME functionality.
Nevertheless for the utilities products (like electricity, gas, …) SAP strongly recommends to use PMU instead of PME!

Be aware that very many major functions like the Product Transport, BRFplus rule framework, Price Object, Reference Products, etc.…to name
just a few are available in PMU and not in PME with CRM 7.0 EhP3 already!

Also keep in mind that any future development will be done in the context of the PMU and not in the PME!

Materials configured with PME can be seamlessly integrated into the PMU via redefinition techniques without changing the materials and it’s
configurations!

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 78
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
One special situation you have to keep in mind though: Assume you used utilities products (like electricity, gas, …) in lower releases than CRM
7.0 EhP3 with PME configuration. SAP does not provide a mass switch for all the contracts in the system using products with PME
configuration to products with PMU!

The switch in these contracts rather takes place on a one-to-one basis when the product in the contract will be changed ( via product
change). In case you don’t touch the old contract at all and create a new contract the old contact stays at it is, but the new contract should get
a product configured with PMU. This procedure ensures that gradually all you legacy data will be switched to the new technology!

The new PMU (Product Modeling for Utilities)

Note: For more details follow the links below:

Technical Requirements for PMU

Using of old products in EHP3

Old products can be furthermore used even if EHP3 when all related switches are active.
Also if products are existing for a long time in the system they can still be used to create new contracts/quotations.
Here note 2111557 (or patch 8) needs to be implemented.
However those old products are not changeable. If this is required the attributes needs to be migrated.
New products are created directly with the help of the PMU (if the switch CRM_UT_ER_3 is active)
Generally it is recommended to migrate the old products for a consistent handling.

Absolute required Set Types are:

CRM_ISU_ATTR2
CRM_ISU_BRF
CRM_ISU_GROUPS
CRM_ISU_PROD
CRM_ISU_VALCON
CRM_ISU_VERS
CRM_ISU_VALRNG

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 79
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
Further information’s are available in the Cookbook 'Defining Product and Product Packages CRM 7.0 EHP1 and EHP2' or in the SCN Key
Topic: SAP CRM for Utilities

Following are some information’s how the migration should work:

1. During migration, if the attribute is marked with Product-related usage in CRMC_IU_FLDMAP, then its View ID, Mandatory fields are
copied from table CRMC_IU_FLDMAP to the new set type CRM_ISU_ATTR2. For attributes which are not product related (e.g. item
category related), those fields won't be copied.
2. After migration, when you display the product in the product maintenance view, it always shows what is inside set type
CRM_ISU_ATTR2 regardless what changes were made in table CRMC_IU_FLDMAP.
3. When the product is used in an order, the attribute usage plays an important role. If the attribute marked as product related
in CRMC_IU_FLDMAP, then information like ViewID, Mandatory field are read from CRM_ISU_ATTR2; otherwise they will be read from
CRMC_IU_FLDMAP.

Delete Point of Delivery, Premise or Connection Object

Purpose

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 83
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
The purpose of this page is to describe how the Point of Delivery (POD), Premise or Connection Object can be deleted. For the inheritance for
deletion flags see the badi ISU_LOEVM_CASCADE on ERP side.

Set Deletion flag on POD, Premise, Connection Object and Installation

1. POD
The deletion flag can be set on IS-U side in TA: EEDM10 or in the CRM WebUI view IUICOBJD/PointOfDelivery STRUCT.PD_LOEVM.
The flag on database level is EUIHEAD-LOEVM in IS-U and ISU_POD-LOEVM in CRM.
Note: Available with note 2385582.
2. Premise
The deletion flag can be set on IS-U side in TA: ES61 or in the CRM WebUI view IUICOBJD/Premise node premise STRUCT.VS_LOEVM.
For the premise the field on database level is EVBS-LOEVM in IS-U and ECRM_ISU_EVBS-LOEVM in CRM.
Note: The deletion flag can be used only if the premise is activated as own object in CRM.
3. Connection object
The deletion flag can be set on IS-U side in TA: ES56 or in the CRM WebUI view IUICOBJD/ConnectionObject node connection object
STRUCT.CO_LOEVM.
The flag on database level is EHAU-LVORM in IS-U and ISU_CONNOBJ-LOEVM in CRM.
4. For the installation on ERP side the deletion flag can be inherited to the point of delivery. For the premise the inheritance is to the
installation and point of delivery. Here see note 2475083.

Replication of deletion flag for Technical Objects

This feature exists since version CRM 700 EhP3.

To activate the feature in CRM implement SAP Note 2236700, 2234374 and in IS-U implement SAP Note 2229455.

Additionally you need to adopt the used master data templates and maintain the new fields:

Connection Object: LVORM Parameter EHAU_LOEVM

Premise: LOEVM Parameter EUI_VS_LOEVM
Point of Delivery: LOEVM Parameter EUI_LOEVM

Delete technical objects

Report ECRM_ISU_PROCESS_DELETED_IBASE or ECRM_ISU_PROCESS_DELETED_IB should be used to have the functionality to mark the
IBASE for deletion, so the IBASE can be removed during the archiving process. Two criteria’s needs to be fulfilled that report
ECRM_ISU_PROCESS_DELETED_IBASE deletes technical data (Connection Object, Premise, Point of Delivery) including the ibase which can
also marked for archiving:

1. The deletion flag need to be set on database level.

2. No active quotations or contracts should exists for the given Connection Object or Point of Delivery.

See note 2421513 - Program to reconcile CRM IBASE with ISU Service Address and mark IBASE for deletion

Premise own object

Purpose

The purpose of this page is to clarify the understanding of the system logic and requirements to use premise as own object the WebIC.

Activation

Following the steps to activate premise as own object:

1) Adjust the number range object ISU_NUMPRM. Here see information in the KBA note 1927349.

2) Activate trough Report ECRM_ISU_FILL_TO_INDEX Fill premise table ECRM_ISU_EVBS.

Click on "Execute".

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 84
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Check that the flag PRMTAB_ACT in table ECRM_ISU_PAR_TO is set and the table ECRM_ISU_EVBS is updated with the premises.

Note: Make sure that the report to fill index table ECRM_ISU_TO_IDX has been run for you before starting the report to fill premise table
ECRM_ISU_EVBS to avoid performance issue.
This can be determined by whether entries already exist in the table ECRM_ISU_TO_IDX.

3) Map new attribute VST_NEW_KEY in ISU MDG template CRM_POD_INST.

COM_PRODUCT 713

Symptom
The symptom occurs only in very rare cases and need special steps. Basically the issue occurs if you perform the following steps:

1. Search for premise with address. Identify the existing premise.

2. Change e.g. a customer field of the point of delivery.

3. Change the address of premise.

4. Choose the connection object and press save.

5. An error appears COM_PRODUCT 713 and the changes are not saved.

Solution

Apply note 2059922 and 1831474.

Data cannot be saved for customer own fields added to the Point of Delivery

Symptom

The point of delivery was enhanced with customer own fields using standard enhancement tool provided in IMG:

TA: CRM_ISU_IMG > Technical Object > Enhancement of Technical Objects > Enhancement of Points of Delivery

From the configuration of set ypes and execution of the report, the customer own fields are display in the view IUICOBJD/PointOfDelivery .

But when it comes to data saving to those fields, it does not save the data.

Solution

The customer fields are available in the include CI_POD but missing as append in the structure COMT_PROD_MAT_MAINTAIN_API.

Transport the fields to the structure COMT_PROD_MAT_MAINTAIN_API.

Call Transaktion COMM_ATTRSET and go to menu Set Types/Attributes select link Transport -->Set Type.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 86
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
Insert the set type and set the flag on "Create API Append".

Checking the structure COMT_PROD_MAT_MAINTAIN_API about TA:SE11, here the set type has to be found as an append.

Details for Premise and PoD not displayed in the result list for connection object

Symptom

When you search for premise with connection object by address in the view IUICOBJS/COBYADDR no premise is found and displayed in the
result list.

Test the query with transaction code: CRM_ISU_BOL_BROWSER.

Select the query COBYADDRQuery and insert the search criteria city, street, housenumber and click on "Find". The connection object is found
but the relation PremiseRel is empty:

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 87
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Solution

Check first if the flag for the index for technical objects is active. Call transaction SE16 and insert table ECRM_ISU_PAR_TO. If the flag for the
index INDXTO_ACT is missing run the upgrade report ECRM_ISU_FILL_TO_INDEX.

Steps:

1. Go to Transaction: SPRO --> Customer Relationship Management --> Industry-Specific Solutions --> Utility Industries --> Technical
Objects --> Implement New Address Types and Performance Improvements
2. Block "Fill index table ECRM_ISU_TO_IDX for a better search performance" and execute with blocksize 500 to fill or update table
ECRM_ISU_TO_IDX.

3. You can trigger the report several times for example to correct data inconsistencies.

Symptom

Execute the section "Enhance CI POD query to enable searching by customer fields" in the node "Enhance the Point of Delivery", get a dump in
program "SAPLECRM_ISU_WSP_INDICATOR" on run of report ECRM_ISU_TO_ENH_POD..

Solution

The reason of the dump is the data type of customer own attribute assigned to own set type.

The attribute data type is set to SSTR (SSTRING). This attribute type is not supported by the structure ECRM_ISU_NAV_COMPLETE.

Change the attribute type on own attribute to CHAR for example.

Dump with report ECRM_ISU_FILL_TO_INDEX

Symptom

When the report ECRM_ISU_FILL_TO_INDEX is executed and an ST21 dump with CONVT_OVERFLOW/CX_SY_CONVERSATION_OVERFLOW is
observed.

Solution

Then please check the parameter rdisp/max_gateways whether here a value over 32767 is maintained. If so please reduce the value to e.g.
32000.

Error CRM_IB 051: Master data does not exist for IBase objects

Symptom

The connection object and point of delivery was enhanced with customer own set types. The set types are created in a customizing client and
transported into a test or demo client.

In the test or demo client new technical objects are created in the WebIC. But it is not possible to save all objects successfully because of
error message:

Error CRM_IB 051: Master data does not exist for IBase objects

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 89
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Solution

The transport was not successfully. Therefore import all related transports including the standard and customer own set types with flag "API
append" again.

We recommend also to run report ECRM_ISU_TO_ENH_POD in each client because the table ECRM_ISU_DIV_SET is client specific

No update of technical objects after reassign in transaction ES64

Symptom

When a premise or point of delivery (POD) is reassigned with the IS-U transaction ES64 the changes are not replicated to CRM.
This occures if more then one point of delivery exist for the premise for eample a POD with type MaLo and type MeLo and a filter is used on
BAdI IBSSI_SEND_TO_DWN with method CL_IM_SEND_TO_DWN IF_EX_IBSSI_SEND_TO_DWN~FILTER_DATA to filter out the MeLo POD.

Solution

Apply note 2689145.

The functionality can be activated via Feature Framework. To activate it, perform the following steps:

1. Open transaction FKK_FEATURE_ADMIN.

2. Expand the node IS-U-CS-CRM.
3. Check whether the feature ISU_FEATURE_EUIINSTLN_COMPL is already activated.
4. If it is not active, press the button 'Feature Activation' which will jump into BRF+ (Business Rule Framework plus). If the feature is not
present in the table, insert it into it. Activate the feature by setting the value to 'true'.

Search for Street_long

Symptom

Why is the Search for Street_long not used and only Streets with 25 digits are considered

Solution
Workaround If you want to search for street names longer then 25 digits in the Premise Search then you need to add a Premise search
field additionally.

In the search view for premise (IUICOBJS/VSBYADDR) the field "STRUCT.STREET_LNG" is used. You search for an address with country,
city, postal code, region and street only. Then the search field MC_Street is used which limits the search to 25 digits.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 90
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

With Note 1997998 the field "STREET_LNG" is mapped to the database field "Street". When you add one of the search fields "Street 2",
"Street 4", "Floor", or "Apartment Number" then field street with 60 digits is used in the search.

Note:

A F4-help on field STRUCT.STREET_LNG field in IUICOBJS/VSBYADDR cannot be provided because the field [Link] should be used
to search for street.

An other option will to search with 24 characters together with "*" at the end.

VSBYADDRQuery does not work with HOUSE_NUM2

Symptom

When searching for premise with supplement number (attribute STRUCT.VS_HOUSE_NUM2) in the view IUICOBJS/VSBYADDR no premise is
found.

Test the query with transaction code: CRM_ISU_BOL_BROWSER.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 91
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
Select the query VSBYADDRQuery and insert the search criteria city, street, housenumber and click on "Find"

No premise search results are displayed.

Solution

The premise address was not created with supplement number. Check the address data for the premise in table ADRC.

Here you can see that only a connection object address exists with HOUSE_NUM2 = "A". No address with HOUSE_NUM2 = "A" exist for
premise. The premise addresses are created with ADDR_GROUP "ISUB" and the connection objects with "ISUA".

Change the premise in the WebIC, add the missing supplement number and save the premise.

Search the premise with supplement number and the premise will be found and confirmed.

Contract Management - Common Problems

Cancel New Contract is not reversing Forced Move-Out Contract

Symptom

A new contract is created which forces the move-out of an existing contract. Later on the new contract is cancelled.
The expectation is that the reversal of new contract triggers also the reversal of the forced move-out contract.

Solution
In standard there is no automatic process available to reactivate a contract which was ended due to a forced move-
out when the new contract is cancelled.
This has to be done in two separate steps; first cancel the new contract and second cancel the contract end to get the old contract reactivated.

It is possible to implement a check within the process check framework.

Example:
During the cancellation of the new contract this check can determine if there exist a former forced move-out contract.
If so a warning message can be displayed that the forced move-out needs to be cancelled, too.

Exception DATREF_NOT_ASSIGNED or CRM_IU_IC_6X_SI_PROC 203

Symptom
During selection of a line item in a quotation or contract process an exception is raised with "Access using a 'Null' data reference is not
possible" .
Within the CRM IU solution the IPC based product definition is used instead of the for utilities rather recommended lean configuration.

Or

A product change process (PROD_CHANGE_CURR) is executed and error messages CRM_IU_IC_6X_SI_PROC 203 and
CRM_ORDER_MISC 207 are raised.

Or

When trying to end a contract the customized fields are not updated in the database.

An upgrade of CRM 7.0 EHP3 was done. No entry is maintain in the utilities lean product attribute configuration ( table CRMC_IU_FLDMAP).

Solution

To avoid exception "Access using a 'Null' data reference is not possible" either note 2364529 can be applied, or alternatively at least one entry
in the Utilities Lean Product Attribute Configuration needs to be maintained even when IPC is used.
Reason:
The application implementation has been changed. A new method GET_BUFFER for class CL_CRM_ISU_PROD_BUFFER is introduced which
reads all the product attributes.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 97
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
Therefore at least one entry in customizing table CRMC_IU_FLDMAP is needed (Transaction: CRM-ISU-IMG Path: Transactions -> Simplified
Configuration -> Maintain Simplified Configuration Attributes)
Recommendation:
Add one dummy entry, similar to the one below
DUMMY dummy INT4 Product | Visible if Parameters Allocated to Product Modifiable Do not display

Product change processes

Symptom
Product change process doesn't work as expected, especially when using UTIL_SALES business role

Solution

The product change processes PROD_CHANGE_CURR and PROD_CHANGE_NEW were developed and intended to be used for business role
UTIL_IC only. In business role UTIL_SALES a product change is achieved via quotation accept process.

Over the years, there were made changes on the product change processes. For now process PROD_CHANGE_CURR is also supported in
UTIL_SALES role, but furthermore not process PROD_CHANGE_NEW. This is because on the UI side there is no handling of the new header
generated from PROD_CHANGE_NEW, thus there is no new time slice saved.

Beside the product change processes there are two types of product change via quotation accept process:

1. Explicit:
Create a quotation out of an existing contract, then accept the quotation.
2. Implicit:
Create a standalone quotation with an occupied Point of Delivery (PoD) by an active contract. If the quotation has the same business
agreement as the contract, then the product change is triggered upon quotation accept.
Or in UTIL_IC role:
Confirm an account and premise with active contract. Start the New Contract process and use the same Business Agreement. After
submitting the new contract the product change process is triggered.

As this is a kind of product change in new document it is only working in UTIL_IC role (process QUOTATION_ACCEPT) and is not
intended to be used in role UTIL_SALES (process QUOT_ACC_ALL_CI).

As soon as the Business Agreement OR the PoD is changed it is no longer treated as a product change process but a new contract is created.
→ In UTIL_IC role the old contract will be ended due to a forced move-out automatically and the new contract will be created.
→ In UTIL_SALES role process forced move-out is not supported and the old contract need to be ended separately.
If this is not done before the new contract is created then the new contract is saved with error "PoD is occupied" (ECRM_ISU 034). This can

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 98
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
be resolved by ending the old contract and saving a dummy change in the new contract afterwards.
This is valid for explicit and implicit product change.

Symptom
Product change process: Several fields can't be changed anymore

Solution

Please read SAP KBA 2439313 about the solution for several fields

Symptom

Only last time slice of a product change is shown in contract management

Solution
Within the Contract management work center only those contracts or contract time slices were displayed where it is possible to perform a
process action. That's why only the newest time slice of the contract with product change is visible (where it is possible to create a new
product change or cancel the existing one or to end the contract). As no actions were possible for the first time slice of product change it is
not displayed here. It would be displayed again when the product change is cancelled.
To get an overview over the whole contract history either the Account Overview (to display history for one account) or Premise Overview (to
display history for one premise) can be used.

Replication of a new contract in case a forced move-out is involved

Symtom

A new contract is blocked in CRM and is not replicated to IS-U.

Solution
When a new contract is created which forces the move-out of an existing contract the new contract gets status I2413 (wait for end of supply).
This status prevents the replication of the new contract (is blocked) as long as the forced move-out isn't replicated successfully and as long as
this is not communicated back to CRM.
Often the old contract gets stuck in transaction ECRMREPL in ERP and needs to be reprocessed. The status I2413 is cleared in function
module CRM_ISU_DOWNLOAD_BTMBDOC_VAL. This function module is called during the re-replication of moved-out contract from IS-U and
should reset status I2413 and initiate the processing of new contract.

If for some reasons the re-replication of forced moved-out contract doesn't clear the status report ECRM_ISU_CHECK_I2413 can be used to
correct contracts with wrong I2413 status to get them replicated.

The Copy Business Partner Address Button is inactive

Symptom
Create a quotation or contract in business role UTIL_SALES or a copy of it. Then assign a new Point of Delivery (POD) to an item. Afterwards
create a new connection object, premise and POD. Now you want to copy the business partner address assigned to the quotation or contract.

The button "Copy Business Partner Address" is not active.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 99
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Solution
In role UTIL_SALES the button is inactive because no business partner is confirmed.

See the SAP Help Object Workbench in the Interaction Center:

The pushbutton "Copy Business Partner Address" enables the system to use the business partner address of a confirmed business partner
as the address of a new connection object if the workbench was started to create an object using a template.

Technical Implementation Description

Header Implementation

The implementation class for the header process class is CL_CRM_IU_PR_CNTR_COMPLETE_HD. This class is inherited from
CL_CRM_IU_PR_CNTR_START_HD_I of the Contract Start process.

Method IS_EXECUTABLE

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 106
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
Since nothing is to be checked at the header level, this always returns TRUE.
Packages were registered here for sub processes.

Method START

Retrieve header GUID and store it in the context so that it can be processed later by the BEFORE_FINISH event handler.

Method CANCEL

Since the item has already been saved, the header item should not be deleted. Instead the one order buffer is cleared.

Item Implementation

The implementation class for the item process class is CL_CRM_IU_PR_CNTR_COMPLETE. This class is inherited from
CL_CRM_IU_PR_CNTR_START_I of the Contract Start process. So mainly the same methods of Contract Start process are used.

Method IS_EXECUTABLE

Checks that the item processed has the status I2417 (Incomplete).
Authority objects should also be configured to allow process CONTRACT_CMPLT to be executable.

Method START

Checks for an existing item.

Determines if a sub-process exist.
Creates a switch message when no product change sub-process is determined.

Process CONTRACT_CORRECT

What does this process do?

After a contract has been replicated, the Correct Contract (CONTRACT_CORRECT) process can be used to make modifications.
It is similar to the Contract Start or Complete Contract process, but does not allow deletion of items, reassignment of PoD’s (Point of
Deliveries), or modification to the Business Agreement.
It is not intended to change the contract start date as here an own process CONTSTART_CHANGE (Change contract start date) is provided
for that.
At this point of time, the process does not support Selling Packages.

In this activity you determine which status is displayed in the IC WebClient. You can use a ranking sequence to specify a priority for
each individual status of an object, whereby the lowest value represents the highest priority. If a transaction has multiple statuses, the system
displays the status to which you gave highest priority.

In CRM Release 6.0 user status are ignored.

In CRM 7.0 and higher releases user status were considered as long as they are defined item type specific; otherwise it will be ignored.

Handling of status in deregulated environment

Move-in CRM:

New contract process -> status I2401 is set ->Maintain switch message and contract -> Submit

After Submit:

1. If both switch message and contract are error free, I2401 is removed and I2402 is set. Start of supply is triggered in IS-U. The new
contract is blocked.
2. If either switch message or contract is in error, I2401 remains and I2402 won’t be set. No start of supply is triggered in IS-U. The new
contract is blocked.

Assuming start of supply is successfully triggered in IS-U, there are two outcomes:

1. If approved, I2403 is sent back to CRM and I2402 will be removed. Now the contract in CRM is unblocked, the replication to IS-U starts.
2. If rejected, I2404 is sent back to CRM and I2402 will be removed. It is up to the customer to decide if to cancel the contract or not. If
the contract is not cancel, it will continue to be blocked by the new status I2404.

Cancel contract start and switch document

The cancellation of contract start is only possible as long as the contract is in status In Activation (I2402).
In this status only the switch document is present in IS-U and the contract is blocked in CRM.

As soon as the activation is accepted from the market partner status Activation accepted (I2403) is set and the contract gets replicated to IS-
U.
At this point of time process cancel contract is no longer possible but a supply end needs to be created.

Move-out in CRM

End contract -> status I2406 is set ->Maintain contract end (No UI for switch message) -> Submit
At this time the contract is still active (CONTEND is furthermore 31.12.9999). The contract end date is only present in date type
ISURQCONTEND.

After Submit:

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 123

1. If both switch message and contract are error free, I2406 is removed and I2407 is set. End of supply is triggered in IS-U. The contract
end is blocked (contract is still active in IS-U).
2. If either switch message or contract is in error, I2406 remains and I2407 won’t be set. No end of supply is triggered in IS-U. The
contract end is blocked.

Assuming end of supply is successfully triggered in IS-U, there are two outcomes:

1. If approved, I2408 is sent back to CRM and I2407 will be removed. Now the contract in CRM is unblocked and CONTEND is set from
ISURQCONTEND.
The replication of contract end to IS-U starts.
2. If rejected, I2409 is sent back to CRM and I2407 will be removed. The contract end should be reversed in CRM. I2409 doesn’t block the
replication, so the contract will be replicated to ERP even though nothing is changed

Move-in with FMO in CRM

The move-in and FMO will behave almost the same as they are executed as a standalone process except that:

A new blocked status I2413 is added to the new contract. This I2413 can be only removed by the response of the contract end from ERP, i.e. the
end of supply is approved and the contract end from FMO is replicated to ERP successfully, its response to CRM will remove I2413 from the
new contract.
See also:
Replication of a new contract in case a forced move-out is involved

Detailed description:

1. In CRM, a new move-in is created, which trigger a forced move- out.

Two switch documents are created in ERP; one (start of supply) for the new move-in; the other (end of supply) for the forced move-out.
The replication of new move-in is blocked by status I2402 (In Activation) and I2413 (Waiting for End of Supply), and the replication of forced
move-out is blocked by status I2407 (In Deactivation).

2. If the confirmation of end of supply is reached from ERP system, status I2407 will be removed from the forced move-out and new status
I2408 (Deactivation Accepted) is set.
Afterwards the replication of the forced move-out to EPR starts.
Once the response is coming back to CRM, status I2413 is removed from the new move-in, but the replication of the new move-in is still
blocked by status I2402.

3. Now the confirmation of start of supply is reached from ERP system. Status I2402 will be removed from the new move-in, and I2403
(Acctivation Accepted) is set. The replication of new move-in starts.

Contract Replication: Common Problems

Contract changes in ERP are not replicated to CRM

Symptom
Contract changes which are done directly in IS-U using transaction ES21 are not replicated to CRM.

Solution

Direct changes in the contract in IS-U won't trigger any replication back to CRM.
This is only the case when contract processes like Move-in our Move-out are performed in ERP system.

In case changes are done using transaction ES21 then the request load can be used to replicate these changes to CRM.
This is similar to the changes of installation facts in the IS-U system.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 126

Error Handling - Transaction ECRMREPL

Error Handling: Common Problems

ECRMREPL: Error E9 029 and ECRM_CONTR 120

If the contract is replicated from CRM to IS-U an ecrmrepl entry is created if the contract processing on IS-U failes as an Object like
installation or Contract Account is locked by a different User. Here the error E9 029 "Object is currently locked by User" is raised. On IS-U side
a restart will resolve the issue. To automate this the restart customizing can be used. This means that error prone ecrmrepl entries will be
automatically reprocess if predefined errors were encountered.

If the contract is replicated along with the Business Agreement (Buag) from CRM to IS-U an ecrmrepl entry is created if the contract is
replicated earlier than the Buag. Here the error ECRM_CONTR 120 "CRM transaction &1: Contract account &2 not yet replicated" is raised. On
IS-U side a restart will resolve the issue because at this time the Buag is replicated. To automate this the restart customizing can be used. This
means that error prone ecrmrepl entries will be automatically reprocess if predefined errors were encountered.

The customizing is available under:

1) Set Delayed Restart in IS-U Error Monitor.

Here the number of restarts and the time delay between each restart can be maintained. There are 3 restart attemps maintained. If 3
attempts fail then the entry remains permanently in ECRMREPL and will no longer be processed automatically.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 127
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

2) Maintain Message Tables for Delayed IS-U Error Monitor Restart

Here the message class and message numner is mainted for which the restart shall be done (shown for the E9 029 error).

Process Contract_End ends with error in ECMREPL

Symptom
In transaction ECRMREPL no installation is linked to a failed contract replication.

Error message "Invalid date in EVER" (E9 885) is displayed.

Solution

It is a miss match between the installation and the MDT which is used.
In the MDT in node INSTALLATION the attribute SERVICE is not defined but it is maintained in the installation itself.
OR
The SERVICE is maintained in the MDT but not in the installation.

In this case the system isn't able to determine the installation.

To correct it the service type for the installation need to be defined as a identifying constant (if necessary with an "empty" value) in the MDT.
Furthermore note 2293884 can be applied.

This document describes how facts are handled during the replication of CRM processes into IS-U.

General remarks
Contract related operands versus product related operands
This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 128
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
Contract related operands get inactive time slices in ETTIFN during move out. This means that the system "remembers" the old situation and
when the move- out is reversed than the old situation is rebuilt again by using inactive time slice from ETTIFN and reactivating it.

For product related operands table ETTIFN doesn't play this big role. During move-out the time slice in ETTIFN gets an end date (which is the
move-out date), but no inactive time slices will be created and therefore no reactivation takes place. That's the case because during cancelling
of move-out the MDT is processed and the time slices are created according to the settings in MDT.

When an operand is marked as contract AND product related than the product relation has higher priority and hence such an operand is
treated like an operand which is only marked as product related.

It is recommended to set all operands used in the Master data templates (MDTs) as product related. This ensures that the maintenance of it is
only possible during MDT processing and not in IS-U directly which can help to avoid data base inconsistencies.
Furthermore, contract related operands are not considered from all processes (for i.e. product change process) during the processing of MDTs
using the master data generator (MDG).

In case product related and contract related operands are used within the MDT, the last processed operation is MDT processing. In case a
move-out reversal is executed at first the contract related operands are restored directly at DB level but afterwards might be changed again
due to MDT processing.

Generation period

The generation period must not be necessarily the contract validity time. It depends on the process which time slice is (re)generated
processing the MDTs. This is important when a date is determined over a virtual attribute in the MDT. When the start or end date is outside of
the date range of the generation period - they will be not considered and the generation period will be taken at all.

External Attributes in MDT

An MDT is assigned to an utilities product. All parameters from the utility product are marked as external (see tab header data). That’s
important as some processes only consider external parameters assigned to an attribute in MDT. When a parameter is assigned to an
attribute within the MDT it gets a green status.

Determination of full generation

In some processes the generation isn’t triggered in standard as it is not needed. In this case the system always checks if a full generation
should be done.
This is done by taking the values for the external attributes of MDT from the database and comparing those values with the values sent from
CRM container.
If they are the same the system decides that nothing is to be changed/generated. Only in case there is a difference a full replication is
triggered and then the MDT is called.
If prices are replicated from CRM, always a full generation is triggered.
To influence the container BAdI ECRM_CRM_UPLOAD with method IF_EX_ECRM_CRM_UPLOAD~ECRM_UPLOAD_FILL_CONTAINER can be
used.

Handling of installation facts during replication in several processes

The description is valid for operands marked as product related. In case of contract related operands the handling can differ.

New Contract – Move-in

The MDT is always triggered and facts are generated starting with contract start date.
Generation period: Contract start date until 31.12.9999

Contract end – Move-out

Per default the MDT isn’t triggered (except the price replication is used) and the facts are just cut off to the contract end date.
When a full generation is determined the generation period is:
Contract start date until contract end date

Product change

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 129
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
The facts were changed in two steps:
1) The existing time slice is limited to the product change date – 1 day
2) The new time slice is generated starting with the product change date
Generation Period: Date of product change until 31.12.9999

Product change cancel

The facts were changed in two steps:

1) The new installation fact time slice which has been created during the product change is deleted.
2) Starting from this date the fact is re-generated according to the settings of MDT which is used from the old product.
Generation period: Date of product change until 31.12.9999

One important thing is to mark the operands as product related, otherwise they will not be considered correctly (also during the deletion
process).

Cancel contract start

All operands which are created by using the external attributes as parameter in the MDT are deleted. All operands were the attributes are
defined as constant just remain as they are.
The installation history is not changed (see KBA 1998263).

RGEN cases

Basically the RGEN case is treated 100% equally between CRM and IS-U, no matter where the process is started, no matter how much
additional attributes are sent from CRM.
The system determines the database value for all external attributes of MDT and puts those in a container. The container sent from CRM is
totally ignored.
The product attributes should be available in the container as long as they are well defined in MDT and also assigned to the product in CRM.
This means all external attributes of the used MDT should be available.
To influence the container BAdI ECRM_CRM_UPLOAD with method IF_EX_ECRM_CRM_UPLOAD~ECRM_FILL_CONTAINER_RGEN can be
used.
Basically there are the following RGEN scenarios:

Move out date is extended (e.g. 15.10. to 31.10.)

Move out date is extended to 31.12.9999 (move out reversal)
Move-in date is shifted prior to the previous move-in date (e.g. 15.10. to 01.10.)

To influence the processing BAdI ECRM_CRM_UPLOAD with methods IF_EX_ECRM_CRM_UPLOAD~MOVEOUTDATE_CHANGED or

IF_EX_ECRM_CRM_UPLOAD~MOVEINDATE_CHANGED can be used to define Follow up actions after the processes were executed.

Change move-in date

If the move-in date is changed to the future the data already exists and so the date is just shifted to the new move-in date an no data in
installation history nor installation facts are changed.
If the move-in date is changed in the past than the data starting from new move-in date has to be generated using MDT processing.
Generation period: New move-in date until old move-in date – 1 day

Change move-out date

In case move-out date is changed to the future: See process cancel contract end.
In case move-out date is changed to the past, time slices are just cut off to the new move-out date as all data already exist.

Cancel contract end

A Cancel Contract End is nothing more than a change of move-out date to 31.12.9999.
In general the system keeps the already existing data and generates starting with move-out date + 1 until 31.12.9999.
Generation period: Old Move-out date + 1 day until 31.12.9999

Contract correct or Contract change

The facts were adapted with the new values starting with (new) contract start date. Facts already created (wrongly) will not be deleted but just
remain as they are.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 130

Handling of installation facts: Common Problems

Installation fact node is processed even though it is marked as dynamic node

Symptom

An attribute is sent with initial value from CRM. It is expected that the installation facts were not created as the node is marked as dynamic
node.

Solution
A dynamic node should not be processed if the values are initial.
The system executes the node if, at runtime, there is at least one attribute, in which the indicator has been set, contains a value that differs
from the initial value.
As soon as any of these attributes contain a value the whole node is processed.

For operand types FACTOR, INTEGER, QUANT, TQUANT, DEMAND and AMOUNT it can't be distinguished between initial value and real value
0.000 entered.
The requirements of many customers is to use dynamic nodes but also to replicate a real value of 0.000 from CRM.
When it isn’t considered that 0.000 is equal to initial value the system always decides it's the initial value and therefore node will not be
executed and real 0.000 value will not be created.

Another attribute needs to be found which decides about the node execution as in this case the attribute value is not suitable to decide if a
dynamic node should be executed or not. .

Installation fact values changed in IS-U are not replicated to CRM

Symptom

Installation facts were maintained directly in IS-U using transaction ES31. These changes are not replicated to CRM.

Solution
Direct changes of installation facts or also Rate Category in IS-U won't trigger any replication back to CRM.
With integrated environment (i.e. front-end CRM with back-end IS-U), changes to the installation facts shouldn't be done directly in IS-
U. Otherwise this can cause issues and ECRMREPL errors when the attribute is changed outside of CRM in the future (time slice miss match,
overwriting manually entered values).
When the operand is marked and used as product related operand than it is read only in IS-U and can't be changed directly.
The recommendation is to change attribute values in CRM and replicate it to IS-U.
But if it is absolutely needed the replication can be triggered manually by using the request load of contracts in transaction R3AR4 in CRM for
single contracts.
To ensure that the installation facts which are changed are taken into account, they have to be defined either in the corresponding Master
Data Template as external parameter. Or BAdI CRM_BTX_EXTENSIONS can be used. This BAdI contains an IS-U specific implementation class
CL_IM_CRM_ISU_EXT with methods to fill the IS-U specific extension tables.

This is similar to contract changes in ERP system.

Part:
Not recommended: Rate change in the ERP system

Operand isn’t created according to the MDT settings

Symptom

In the MDT a node of installation facts is defined as follows (example):

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 131
2/19/25, 1:41 PM

Name Definition Value

Operand Parameter Operand key

AB Parameter CONTSTART

BIS Parameter CONTSTART

BETRAG Parameter VALUE

It is expected that the operand will be created with a valid-from and valid-to as CONTSTART.
But that's not the case: The operand is created with valid-from and valid-to of contract.

Solution

This is valid for all kinds of installation facts (except FACTOR) and will also affect handling during move-out or product change.
It's because the generation period is weighted higher than parameter definition of attribute.
In such a case the AB and BIS needs to be either defined as virtual attributes or as of note 1788494 Function Module
ISU_PDSCR_INST_FACTS_MODIFY_P can be used.
This one needs to be replaced in the respective master data template categories (in table EPDTYPE).

Several time slices remain with identical values

Symptom

After process replication the installation facts contain two time slices with identical values.

Solution

Some processes like product change cancel or cancel contract end create two installation facts time slices. This is caused because the system
keeps the already existing data and just generates missing data.
To merge these time slices together attribute AUTO_MERGE needs to be set in the corresponding MDT node. The system determines the
attribute AUTO_MERGE. If this one exist and it is marked the system compares the values of the time slices. When the values are identical the
time slices will be merged together so that only one time slice remains for the whole period.

Important table entries for contract replication

The following table entries should be maintained in ERP system for a working contract replication.

The contracts have to be replicated to CRM via the same queue, where the BP and BuAg are replicated.
That's why the BUPA-queue is used.
If a BP has two contracts they will be replicated serial in the same queue.

An object set is a collective document for business objects. It is used to collect and classify objects and to create follow-on documents from
these objects.

Overview

Object sets are part of the functions for the Key Account Manager (Utilities Industry) - standard business role UTIL_SALES.

The object set describes the customers (or prospective customers), the objects classified by labels, and other detailed information.
Object sets are classified using categories for different objects. The following categories are provided as standard:

Point of Delivery Set: Allocation of Points of Delivery

Contract Set: Allocation of Contract Items
BP Set: Allocation of Business Partners

Object sets are fully integrated into Utilities Process Framework.

As of SAP enhancement package 3 (SP05) for SAP CRM 7.0, the business function Label Determination in Object Set (CRM_UT_LABEL_DET)
is available.
This business function provides you with the following functions:

Objects in an object set can be displayed in a new hierarchy or list view.

Objects in the tree can be rearranged using a drag and drop function.
A display preview can be calledof the objects.
Using the BRFplus integration provided, own structuring/labeling functions can be generated for the object set.

Technical information

As the Utilities Process Framework is used all process related technical objects mentioned in Contract Management are also valid here.
In addition the following technical objects are specific for object sets.

Purpose

The purpose of this site is to quickly describe how the disconnection and reconnection is used in the WebIC.

Overview
This function allows an agent of a utility company to request a disconnection or a reconnection of supply for a customer. For example, a
customer may want to close their vacation home for the winter. The customer can call an agent to request a disconnection of supply and then
call back at a later date to request a reconnection.

A disconnection or a reconnection can be requested for an account, a premise, a contract or another reference object. The devices related to
the reference objects are displayed in the disconnection or reconnection request and can be selected for disconnection or reconnection.

Information about the usage of profiles in CRM

Overview
The creation of a quotation is based on the anticipated consumption for a customer within the quotation period. This information is
managed in profiles at the point of delivery. Consumption data for a period, and other values such as prices, can be managed in
profiles.
Profiles can be also processes independently from a point of delivery.
The profiles are stored either in SAP CRM itself, in the IS-U component EDM, or in an external profile administration system.
They are composed of header data and profile values.
BRFplus operations are available with EhP3 SP08 with Business Function CRM_UT_PROF_OPS

Basic/EDM operations are available with EhP2 with note 2093376

TOU operations were added with note 2170743 in EhP3 SP09

Processes

Purpose
This section will explain where and how Meter readings are used within the CRM webclient for Utilities.

Overview

Meter readings are used in the UTIL_IC business role. The Interaction Center agent can use the Meter Reading work center to enter a meter
reading.

This is custom documentation. For more information, please visit SAP Help Portal. 156
2/19/25, 1:41 PM
Meter readings can be also displayed, changed and created within the Bill correction workbench.
During the execution of certain processes in the CRM contract management process, it is possible to enter meter reading data in the
Interaction Center.

The Meter reading functionality in CRM webclient uses often the ERP functionality (by RFC calls). That's why the meter reading customizing in
ERP is also relevant for CRM.

Common questions

Powered by AI

The 'CANCEL_CONTEND' process manages contracts by canceling a contract's scheduled end, provided the account is confirmed and no contract items are halted by a product change. It requires setting ISU requested contract end dates to an initial state. Alternatively, 'CONTRACT_CMPLT' finalizes saved contracts with incomplete status by loading previous progress, allowing modifications. Both processes ensure accurate contract end management by retaining control over contract lifecycle status .

Object Workbench Profiles manage search functionality in SAP CRM by defining how search results are displayed and accessed. A standard profile might override custom search settings and result in default behavior. To integrate a custom profile, it must be maintained in the CRM_ISU_IMG, allowing tailored results and behavior aligned with specific business requirements. Custom profiles enhance search accuracy and efficiency by providing user-specific configurations .

The SEARCH_ACTIVE_CONTRACTS method, part of the class CL_IUICMD_CUCOMD_IMPL, is significant because it automates the search for move-out contracts or future contracts in SAP CRM. By redefining this method based on a project, the system can search for contracts and possibly autoconfirm a Point of Delivery (PoD). This improves contract handling by reducing manual efforts in managing contract timelines, enhancing efficiency in contract management .

Default BOL Tree Profiles provide a standardized method of retrieving and displaying data, but using them might not fulfill specific business needs as custom profiles could. Custom BOL Tree Profiles allow businesses to tailor their data retrieval and display to match unique operational requirements, enhancing the relevance and speed of search results, which is vital in dynamic environments like utilities. As such, configuring and maintaining custom profiles ensures more accurate and business-aligned interactions .

Fuzzy search logic in CRM utilities impacts data retrieval by influencing how closely the input criteria must match the stored data. A high fuzzy percentage mandates a near-exact match, reducing false positives but risking missed records due to minor input variations, which can hinder efficient data retrieval in operations requiring speedy or mass data access, such as customer identification or contract management. Adjusting this feature balances between precision and recall, improving operational flow .

The CRM Utilities Process Framework can be configured through customized transactions and processes to support a utility call center's needs, aligning system capabilities with fast-paced work environments. Adjustments in CRM_ISU_IMG for process types, utilities process framework definition, and simplified configuration can streamline processes for call center agents. Additionally, user parameters and newly activated features from customer connection programs can enhance usability, ensuring efficient call handling and process executions .

The Bill Correction Workbench in SAP CRM Utilities functions as a tool to manage and rectify billing inaccuracies and process anomalies. It provides a systematic approach to address billing errors, allowing adjustments and corrections in an organized manner. This functionality is crucial for ensuring data accuracy in billing and enhancing customer satisfaction by promptly addressing and correcting errors in billing records .

The fuzzy search percentage setting affects the accuracy of finding business partners in SAP CRM by determining how closely the search criteria must match the actual record. A higher percentage, such as 90%, requires 90% of the word to be correct, making search results very precise but potentially missing records due to minor typos. Lowering the fuzzy percentage could increase search tolerance, allowing for more matches even with small errors, improving the user experience by reducing missed results .

Creating notifications in WebUI for SAP CRM might encounter "Save Failed" errors due to duplicate key errors in the database or because of NULL reference dereferencing as seen with error CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL. Solutions include implementing specific SAP notes like 2440505 for resolving duplicate key issues and ensuring prerequisite environment settings like internet browsers are updated, as recommended by SAP notes 2086737 and 2592126. These adjustments help ensure stable operations in notification creation .

CRM ISU elements can be customized to enhance interaction center functionality by configuring specific features such as CRM_ISU_IMG for interface settings, simplifying configuration attributes in CRM_ISU_CONFIG, and defining utilities process frameworks in CRM_ISU_PROC. Customizations ensure rapid access to vital information by call center agents, enhance customer experience, and improve processing accuracy, supporting the operational demands of a utility's call center effectively .
