Word Processing Practice Exercise – Menu

You are working for a local restaurant which is redesigning its menu. The basic
design and layout is complete but the meals and prices need to be added and some
additional formatting needs to be done.

 Open the file [Link]


 Save it to your user space using the filename menu-my [Link] inserting
your own name as appropriate.

1. Insert the image [Link] into the top right hand corner of the menu,
ensuring it does not obscure any of the text.

2. Indent each course heading by 1 cm from the left.

3. Open the document [Link] and copy the contents.

4. This text should be inserted into the menu-my [Link] document, replacing
the text “Insert starters here”.

5. Close [Link].

6. Open the document [Link] and copy the contents.

7. This text should be inserted into the menu-my [Link] document, replacing
the text “Insert main course here”

8. Close [Link].

9. Make sure the font Bookman Old Style is applied to both the pieces of
inserted text, so that they match the rest of the document.

[Link] make the menu easier to read, the prices should be separated from the
meals by tabulation using leading dots, as shown in the sketch below.

11. Apply a hanging indent of 2 cm to the first paragraph and indent the last
paragraph 1 cm from the right.
