A. Preparatory Activities

1. Prayer
Class, everybody stand, Christian Jay, kindly lead
the prayer.
In the name of the father to the
son and to the holy spirit.

attention to the person who is
talking.
Those are the rules that we should established 5. Participate in every activity.
inside this classroom.

5. Review of the past lessons

Now let us have a review, what was our previous

lesson about?

Anyone from the class?

“Sir, our topic last meeting is

about the history of Hand Tools
Yes, that is correct! and Equipment”
Yesterday is we tackled about brief history of the
Hand Tools and Equipment.

Is there any clarification regarding our previous

topic?

Very Good!

“None so far Sir”

B. Motivation

I have here, four pics in one word.

Class, I will group you into 4 groups. And observe
the pictures and guess the words the corresponds
to the pictures.

Is that clear?

Okay, Group 1 “Yes, Sir”

How about Group 2 “Measuring Cups”

Okay, Group 3 “Measuring Spoon”

Let see, how about our last group “Measuring Tools”

Thank you, Class, and now let see if your is “Measuring Tools”
CORRECT.

The correct answer is “Measuring Tools”

So, that means that only group 3 and 4 got the

correct answer.

Analysis (students clap their hands)

And now what do you think is our lesson for

today? (Give the possible answer.)

“Sir I think, our topic today is

about the Tools and Equipment
used in Shielded Metal Arc
Very good!! Work Sir.”

Yes, our topic today is all about the Hand Tools

and Equipment used in Welding. And let us focus
first in Measuring Tool.
C. Lesson Proper

Abstraction

Presentation of the Lesson

Before we are going to go deeper to our topic

everybody kindly read our learning objectives.

And, now let us meet and identify the different

measuring tools used in Welding.

But first let’s have an activity.

Individual Activity:
“Match Me, I’m Tool-ing for You”
Instructions: Identify the different measuring tools
in welding. And match the corresponding words to
the picture shown.

Is that clear?

“Yes Sir”
(Students do their task)

Class, let’s check if your answer is correct.

Discussion:

For No. 1, the correct answer is Pull-push rule.

Any one from the class, what is pull-push rule?

Thank You, that is correct.

“It is used for measuring long,

a compact case.

Is that clear?

No. 2, the correct answer is Steel tape. “Yes Sir”

number of feet that are marked on the tape. The
tape is 3/8 inch-wide and available in lengths from
25 to 100 feet.

For No.3, it is Steel rule.

Anybody from the class, what is steel rule?

metalworking, woodworking, and stonemasonry.

Is that clear?

For No. 6, it is Micrometer caliper.

Anybody from the class, what is micrometer

And now, let move on in No. 7, the correct answer

is Vernier caliper.

Class, when we say Vernier caliper, is it a

the inside, outside diameter, as well as depth of
hole and slot.

Do you have any clarification?

Okay, that’s great!

Now, lets us proceed to the last number, the

correct answer is Dividers. “None so far Sir”

If there is none, let us proceed now to our next “Yes Sir”

activity.
