DEFENSE SCRIPT AND PRESENTATION CONTENT (WITH ANNOTATED GROUP CUES)
Slide 1: Title Slide
[Presenter 1]
Good day, panel. We are Group 9 and today, we proudly present the **Structural Design of a
Proposed Four-Storey Hospital Building with Roof Deck**, prepared as partial fulfillment
for CE 415 – Principles of Reinforced/Prestressed Concrete Design.
Slide 2: Overview of the Project
[Presenter 1]
This hospital project demanded a careful and code-compliant structural design tailored to a
critical facility's unique demands.
Objectives:
- Ensure safety and stability under vertical and lateral loads
- Design all structural components according to NSCP 2015
- Manually validate structural behavior due to absence of software analysis
We prioritized serviceability, redundancy, and clear load paths.
Slide 3: Load Determination (Overview)
[Presenter 2]
Our load assessment includes:
- **Dead Loads**: Structural member self-weight, fixed finishes, ceiling
- **Live Loads**: Based on NSCP 205-1 occupancy categories
- **Wind Loads**: Due to structure height and location, wind was critical
All values were referenced directly from **NSCP 2015**, backed with manual computations.
