WHAT IS IOT
Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of connected
physical devices that collect and exchange data over
the internet without human intervention.

01 It allows remote monitoring and control of devices.

02 The data collected by these devices is sent to

the cloud or servers for processing.

03 The goal of IoT is to create an intelligent, connected

world where devices work together for better
convenience and efficiency.

04
Examples of IoT include smart homes, smart watches,
smart vehicles, and industrial automation.
1. Sensors/Devices:
Collect data from the environment.
2. Connectivity:
Connect devices to the internet to send data.
[Link] Processing:
Analyze and process data to generate useful
information.
[Link] Interface:
Allows users to monitor and control devices.
Components:

Microcontrollers / Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, NodeMCU

Microprocessors (it process the data ).

Device that detects changes in

environment (like temperature, motion,
gas) and converts them into data.

Actuators (like temperature, motion, gas) and converts

Provides energy to IoT devices, usually via

battery, USB, or solar Power Supply
The platform (mobile app, website, or

User Interface screen) through which users interact

with the IoT system.
Arduino UNO

Arduino Uno is an open-source microcontroller board

based on the ATmega328P chip.
It is widely used in electronics and IoT projects.
Allows easy connection of sensors, actuators, and other
components.
Supports programming through the Arduino IDE (C/C++).
Connects via USB, making it beginner-friendly.
Helps build interactive and smart systems easily.
An actuator is a device that takes commands from a microcontroller
and performs an action, like moving or turning something on/off.

A power supply provides the electrical energy needed to run all the
components in an IoT system, like microcontrollers, sensors, and
actuators.

User Interface
A user interface is the part of a system or device through which a user
interacts with it. It allows users to give input and see output.
