RULES made by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption by virtue of the powers vested with
the Commission in terms of Section of 157 read with Section 162 (2) of the Anti - Corruption Act, No. 9 of 2023.

These Rules shall come into force with effect from 19th of May 2025.

The term “Staff Officer” in terms of the Section 80 of the Anti - Corruption Act, No. 9 of 2023 means any employee of:

• The Provincial Public Service classified as a “Staff Officer” in the Public Administration Circular No. 32/2017 and its amendments.

P I : S . (I) - GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY OF THE DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF SRI LANKA - 19.05.2025

• The local Authorities classified as a “Staff Officer” in the Public Administration Circular No. 32/2017 and its amendments.

• The Ministries and Government Departments classified as a “Staff Officer” in the Public Administration Circular No. 32/2017
and its amendments.

• The Central Bank of Sri Lanka employed in the capacity of “Staff Class” or equivalent class/grade of the Central Bank Serivce.

• The State Banks employed in the capacity of executive/equivalent grades set forth in their respective Service/Salary Criteria,
Laws, Rules and Regulations.

• The Independent Commissions classified as a “Staff Officer” in the Public Administration Circular No. 32/2017 and its amendments.

• Independent regulatory and supervisory Commissions or bodies established by or under any Statute classified as a “Staff Officer”
in their respective Service/Salary Criteria, Acts, Laws, Guidelines, Rules and Regulations.

• Companies registered under the provisions of the Companies Act, No. 07 of 2007, in which not less than Twenty-five per centum
of shares are held by the State or by a public corporation classified as a “Staff Officer” in their respective Service/Salary Criteria,
Acts, Laws, Guidelines, Rules and Regulations.
