SCOPUS ICI
Scopus has been a data source for deriving many bibliometric indicators The Indian Citation Index ([Link]) is an online
and related analytical tools for measuring performance of journals, collection of multidisciplinary citation-cum-bibliographic databases
institutions and countries. Most prolific ones are SCImago Journal & covering about 800 multidisciplinary academic journals, published
Country Rank (SJR), SCImago Institution Ranking (SIR) and from South Asia and more particularly from India.

journal evaluation and comparison such as citations count, articles details of an institution, in terms of articles published, citations received, and
details of journals in which articles were published (top 15 journal titles),

Page Rank
It is a measure of scientific influence of scholarly journals that accounts for
both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or
prestige of the journals where such citations come from. The SCImago
Journal & Country Rank is a portal that includes the journals and
country scientific indicators developed from the information contained in
the Scopus® database (Elsevier B.V.). These indicators can be used to
assess and analyze scientific domains.
It uses algorithm Google PageRank™. This indicator shows the visibility of
the journals contained in the Scopus® database from 1996. PageRank is
an algorithm used by Google Search to rank websites in their search
engine results. PageRank was named after Larry Page, one of the Mathematical PageRanks for a simple network, expressed as percentages. (Google
founders of Google. PageRank is a way of measuring the importance of uses a logarithmic scale.) Page C has a higher PageRank than Page E, even
website pages. According to Google: though there are fewer links to C; the one link to C comes from an important
PageRank works by counting the number and quality of links to a page and hence is of high value. If web surfers who start on a random page have an
page to determine a rough estimate of how important the website is. The 85% likelihood of choosing a random link from the page they are currently visiting, and
underlying assumption is that more important websites are likely to receive a 15% likelihood of jumping to a page chosen at random from the entire web, they will
more links from other websites. reach Page E 8.1% of the time. (The 15% likelihood of jumping to an arbitrary page
corresponds to a damping factor of 85%.) Without damping, all web surfers would
eventually end up on Pages A, B, or C, and all other pages would have PageRank
zero. In the presence of damping, Page A effectively links to all pages in the web, even
though it has no outgoing links of its own.

Eigenfactor
Full list of SJR indicators available for journals vis-à-vis
countries. Eigenfactor: The Eigenfactor score, developed by Jevin West and
Carl Bergstrom at the University of Washington, is a rating of the total
importance of a scientific journal. In order to measure the importance
of a journal to the scientific community, they created the Eigenfactor
metrics, which are designed to reflect the prestige and influence of
scholarly journals. The theory behind Eigenfactor metrics is that a
single citation from a high-quality journal may hold more value
than multiple citations from more peripheral publications.
Article influence Score: The Article Influence score measures
the average influence of articles in the journal. To calculate the Article
influence score, the Eigenfactor score of a journal is divided by the
number of article in the [Link] influence Score =
Eigenfactor score of a journal / number of article in the
journal

Metrics in PoP: There are various provisions of
measurement of citations. In addition to the various simple
statistics like number of papers, number of citations,
number of authors per paper, average citations per paper,
citations per author, papers per author, and citations per
year, the PoP can do many scholarly metrics are listed
below:
1. Hirsch's h-index and related parameters
2. Egghe's g-index
3. The contemporary h-index
4. Three variations of individual h-indices
5. The average annual increase in the individual h-index
6. The age-weighted citation rate
